This is a fantastic idea Randy to build a song together with other viewers, it's a great sounding progression, sometimes when I play ragtime in C I throw in a few fast diminished passing chords, I'm not sure what they are called but maybe you could stick a few in for a middle section, or maybe it would just be too zany 😁 and I can't read music either, I have a basic knowledge of where the notes are but I could never read and play them fluently, anyway wonderful work my friend 🎸👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Love listening to your stories Randy !!! I am enjoying your new build a song series, I can read music ( I actually played slide trombone in the jazz band in high school) but I learned to play guitar watching and listening to people play, I can hear a song a few times look up the chords and figure out an acoustic cover in my vocal range...I have a limited knowlege of progressions and stuff...I would probably steer you the wrong way on the frett board...So I am just gonna enjoy where your song goes!!! have a great day my friend !!! 🎙🎸

Ok Brother Randy: First, thank you so much for the Shout out! Now, here's where Paul's brain goes with this. Play the C, G#, A minor. Go to the F, skip the walk up. play a G Major with a Sus hammer on, and then here's a curve - D MINOR back to G Major, resolve on the C We need to start a melody line on top of this....Rock On, Brother!! 🎸😁

Howdy Randy . . . . Another fine upload Mate. Some really nice 'licks' in there Man. 🎸 I know how to read music, I can't sight read nowadays, but my ear is what has got me through, and in my humble opinion, an 'ear' is the most important asset in playing music, especially for a guitarist. 🤷🏻♂
I'm not sure if your tutorials are 'beginners' lessons. 🤷🏻♂

Well! The beginnings of finger picking is probably the biggest hurdle, and post that it's difficult, but I suppose what you share with us is for the converted. They have passed the awkward beginnings and have grown in confidence.
Anywho . . . your uploads/tutorials are so well explained with that touch of humbleness. That's the reason I continue to watch/listen and comment Randy.

It's really sounding great. Man I wish I would have learned music theory and how to actually read music when I was younger...lol . I'm self taught too. My post on the last video would have been my direction but your route sounds better. Especially in that style of music. Oh, that Masterbuilt Texan showed up this afternoon and it sounds great. It's definitely not my 65 Texan but it still has a very good sound .
