There are some tutorials on how to install/fix this issue, just google "can't open gpedit" and check the guides. But sadly I can't tell you more about this because I can't test it beforehand since its working for me :/
Or maybe you have a light edition of Windows which does not offer you access to this type of tools? For reference, I have Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

i had 400 Mbit internet and Steam always downloads with 45MB/sec.
In Xbox and Origin i never reach more than 10MB/sec and its driving me insane.

Be careful about the "computer configuration change" It did not fix my Microsoft download speed (because their servers are garbage) and it tanked my steam download speed from 300-500mbs to 15-19mbs

If this doesn't work for anybody, then try deactivating your Windows Antivirus real time protection while downloading a Game. Hope I could help somebody!

My download on steam, Ubisoft connect and even EA is about 11-11.5 MB/s but Xbox? Well at the moment my forza horizion 5 expansion needs about 150 hours or even longer to download.

My download speed on Xbox sits at over 300Mbps. On PC up to 25Mbps, so less than 10%. I've tried your method and it took it up to 85Mbps, then froze. I've restarted the PC and it now freezes the download every time after a few seconds. I'm confused.

Thats the same for me, furthermore, I rarely hit over 30mb/s speeds on other services. On The XBox app in comparison I hit a maximum of about 15mb/s

When I used to download games/apps from Windows Store, they used to come down the pipe at 30 MBPS. Now it's at about 3 MBPS using the Xbox App (Windows 10), notwithstanding having done all these steps. I'm wondering in the connection speed is being throttled by my ISP or something. It's 3 MBPS no matter where I download a game from (Epic, Steam, etc.) It's driving me nuts. 😆I know, I know: first world problems.
Bei der Übermittlungsoptimierung ist nichts ausgegraut bei mir. Der Regler ist zwar auf "an" bei "Downloads von anderen pcs zulassen", aber ausgegraut ist da nichts. Habe aber alles richtig gemacht, sogar mal auf Lan umgestellt in dieser Downloadmodus einstellung, hat aber nichts gebracht

ive tried everything... checking the box, unchecking... restarting, every goddamn thing, and nothing works. Spotify app downloads at 30mbps, but trying to install halo and its stuck at 2mbps... goddammit
if you have windows 11 go to windows update> advanced options> Delivery options> advanced options and click percentage of measured bandwith and check the boxs and turn the things all the way up make sure to restore them to default after
