    Always use the proper tools and safety equipment to perform this job.
    Failure to perform the job correctly can result in catastrophic engine damage.

    The oil cooler seal replacement is going to similar to all DD13 DD15 DD16 OM 471 OM 472 OM 473 engines
    The oil cooler seal can cause problems like: oil in the coolant tank.
    If the coolant system is heavily contaminated with oil, you will need to flush the coolant system to pervert any unwanted problems in the future.

    Don Francisco cuando usted hace los videos que se agradece por compartir y cuando los hace,lo está haciendo con su conocimiento y solo está diciendo como desarmar a su entender y corta el video de cómo lo hace y vuelve a grabar cuando ya está instalado,don Francisco para el que no sabe nada y està aprendiendo ,esa persona se queda en nada porque no vio exactamente como lo desarmó y como lo armó y casi todos sus videos están así , por favor tómese un tiempo para poder acomodar la cámara en alguna parte para que siga grabando sin que usted pare de hacer el trabajo ,se lo agradecería mucho y gracias

    Hey I have a question? I have coolant/water coming from the oil cooler/oil filter housing. The leak only shows when I come to the truck in the morning but it doesn’t leak at all when running or when the engine is hot. I see the water/coolant run down the oil filter in the back but not the oil filter in the front. Could this be a gasket problem?

    I have a 2013 cascadia. I need to change out the oil filter housing gasket and i was told to change the the oil cooler housing gasket at the same time?. A shop I saying it’s an 8 hour job. How long should it take? And do you have any videos on how to replace the Orings for the DEF coolant valve? because it’s leaking like crazy when it’s cold.

    • @franciscoamayaYT
      @franciscoamayaYT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It take between 6 - 8 hours to do that job. Yes, replace the oil cooler seal only. That will save you money.
      You mean the part that goes on top of the DEF tank?

    • @MarineTrucker1775
      @MarineTrucker1775 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Francisco Amaya Ok thanks. And yes the part on top of def tank. I know the repair kit comes with the two o rings and 4 new nuts. It’s 20 buck rather then replacing the entire thing.

      Francisco Amaya Just didn’t know if you had a video on how to do it or could make one I know it’s a problem with high mileage trucks like mine

      @franciscoamayaYT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MarineTrucker1775
      It doesn't happen that common but it can. The DEF header is a sealed unit it can't leak inside the tank unless the metal pipes are broken

    • @MarineTrucker1775
      @MarineTrucker1775 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Francisco Amaya I appreciate it. Nothing was leaking inside. It was coming out the top going all over the ground only when it was cold outside I decided to take it to the freightliner shop. They told me that it was a common problem for the orings in the coolant valve to go bad that’s why they sell the repair kit. I asked them how long it would take to fix. They said 30 minutes that included draining the coolant and refilling the coolant. But to actually change the o rings is about 5 minutes. But I’d still be charged an hour. So after getting charged an hour and just reusing my coolant problem was fixed. And they actually showed me how to do it. But I noticed I don’t even have to drain the coolant if I did want to. I could just plug the line. So I purchased a extra kit to make a video myself since there isn’t one on TH-cam.

    Hello Francisco, i have replaced the oil cooler and seals, it is still doing the same thing, I am currently trying to drive it home, I am having to add about 3 quarts of oil every 200 miles or so, what else can cause this ? Please help me out I am about to go out of business due to this !

    • @franciscoamayaYT

    • @gmolina0614

      jorgegrealty the oil cooler or the fuel pump?
      I just got both of these done.
      To replace the oil cooler gasket housing cost me around 300 with parts.
      Now, the fuel pump is a little expensive,
      i payed 1,800 with taxes, once you take the old pump out, take it to freightliner, they'll give you 400 back.
      350 for labor on the fuel pump.
      this is very low prices compare to most shops because i have a very close friend who does the labor for me (he works for sprint, tanker company in houston)
      I think you can do the oil cooler job yourself.
      the fuel pump is a little more complicated because you have to buy a special tool to keep the camshaft from moving, and the fuel gear has to be aligned properly when installing it
