My air stopped blowing in my car last year. I could feel the coolness or heat when I put my hand up to it, it just wouldn't blow that air. Googled the problem this morning, found your video this afternoon, and replaced my own blower motor this evening. I cannot thank you enough!!
2005 Toyota Matrix RX 200k+ Miles I tried changing the fuse and the AC relay thinking it was that. The light on the bezel for AC is off while the air circulation light is still on. But now I’m at a point where the air doesn’t cut on at all. I’m going to attempt this because what you described is exactly what happened to me. I’ll provide and update if this fixed the issue.
It is possible you might have a wiring issue, you can check your wiring harness with a multimeter to see if you’re getting power, (put multimeter on 20 DC volts and your harness should read between 12-15 volts). If that checks out it’s possible you got a defective blower motor, annoying but it happens. Autozone is usually pretty good about backing up their products.
I would start by checking fuses, if your fuse is ok that could be a number of things. Could be the outlet itself quit, if that’s not it it could be a short or damaged wiring. I’d start with the simple stuff first though.
@DanielsCarTalkChannel got one for $112 from my local auto parts store. Installed it and now it works great. More quiet too. Thankyou for the video. Mechanic would probably charged me 300 for this.
I actually had the exact same issue, sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesnt. And ifnit didnt, i had to force the blower motor to start by taking the filterbout and hand spin it.

Check for mice, biting on your wires
Thank you sir
Unrelated....but what would cause the 110 volt plug outlet to stop working. Any ideas?

How much is the blower motor
Blower motor for that Matrix/Vibe should be about $80-90 at Autozone.

Is it really necessary to disconnect the power?
I didn't

Yah, sounds like it’s on its way out. Replace both the motor and resistor and you should be good.
I have a 2004 toyota matrix it blows hot air from the A/C.The mechanic told it needs A/C Actuator.
