    Thanks for the video.
    But before I tried anything, I first did what I usually do with repairs. I made a soft fist and hit the blower from below. And wham! It started running again! LoL I'll do that with electrical parts (softly) such as a headlight or license plate light and often it solves the problem very quickly and extremely inexpensively! hehe

    Thanks Todd! I've got one in a 2010 Corolla bought from Drivetime, (don't ever buy a car from them!) and I never had a blower motor go out on two Camrys I owned nor any other vehicle I've owned. I don't know why this one is going out being only 6 years old with less than 50K miles on it, but none the less it needs to be replaced. The Speedy Oil change place quoted me "about $200.00" to replace it, and after having replaced my serpentine belt on my last Camry I thought I'd look into how to replace it myself. Kudos to you and your wife or girlfriend for this video! It's very informative and looks pretty darn easy! I'll watch it again before I give it a go, but just wanted to thank you for the video! Do you know if it will be relatively the same on a 2010? I haven't found a video on how to replace a 2010 blower motor for a 10' Corolla. What year Corolla is this video on? Thanks again for the video brother! Nice shirt too!

    Does anyone know where the Blower Motor relay is located? The diagrams on the fuse box under the hood and the one by the Driver's knee do not have obvious descriptions as to which one it is. Thanks! And thank you, Todd, for this awesome video!!! How anyone could give a thumbs down for this is beyond me. They must not know what a flat-head screwdriver is.

      The relay is located ABOVE the blower motor. You won't be able to see it by looking from below. Its kind of sitting on a shelf. If you put your hand up there, feel for a larger square object (There are 2 if I;m not mistaken). While touching up there, turn your blower motor on and you'll feel it "click"...if its not bad.
      Hope that helps.

    Leonardo Almarza, Hi, I didn't the ability to reply to your comment or no way to contact you. Hopefully you return to this video. I will eventually make a video of where that is located. It is right next to the blower motor, follow the wires. I don't have another video to link because your right there isn't one out there. It is a plastic piece held on by two screws. Good luck and let me know if you get it!

    Todd thanks for putting this video together. I don't think I would have attempted it without it. Turned out to be on the easy side. My problem ended up being a mouse nest above the filter which was rubbing against the fan cage making a noise. I did however buy my part locally at AutoZone, they offered a lifetime warranty and the online versions of the same exact part only offered up to a 1 year warranty and with replacement being as easy as walking into the store to get a new one if a warranty replacement is EVER needed, it was worth the extra little bit of money up front. Total replacement time was under 15 minutes...THANK YOU!!!!

Remember to wiggle electrical connection to remove from blower, don't yank or it might break. Thank you soooo much for this video :) helped a lot! P.s. cost $40 for blower/motor unit on Amazon. Such a wonderful FYI. My heater blower quit working . I went to a salvage yard and practiced on their car . I easily removed the blower and was charged 8.00.
    Before I changed the blower motor I found that I could access the blower cavity through the air filter slot. I found enough grass stuffed in the filter cavity to fill the cage. I removed the grass and turned on the blower. Everything ran fine except for a loud noise. The pressure from the clog had bent the blower shift and bent it. I will have to replace the motor anyway. I didn't win but I learned. If yougo to a mechanic he will probably charge 250.00 to 300.00. Mine was 8.00.

    I just found out that my car have not had a cabin filter since I bought it on 2009. The heater and A/C seem still be working well. I already ordered a new cabin air filter. What do you think should I take the blower moter out and clean ?

    My cousin has a 2005 S blower quit on it two of the wires are burnt and one I barely touched and it broke off. It sounds to me like hers may be a little big bigger of a job but, I wouldn't think it would be too big of a problem to connect the wires back.

    Thank you! I replaced my blower motor in August 2020. A few months later i smelled burning when the fan was on high and the headlights dimed. I was told it has too much current. How do I know what kind of blower motor to buy?
    The fan from low to the 3rd setting works fine and does hot and cold, AC and defroster fine. It's just when the fan on high I smell it and the lights dim. 2005 Toyota camry. V4. About 178000 miles.

    Hi Todd - I've just opened my glove box to replace the AC blower resistor, but... it's just not there!! :-) Do you know, by any chance, where I can find it? The blower only works on "4", which is direct con, so I want to replace it. But first, I need to find it :-) Thanks for your help in advance.

      I dont know the answer to that one. You would think it would be inbetween the center console amd the blower motor but i dont know. If you find out please post on here so others will know. Thank you and good luck.

    Hi Todd, ths very helpful video. My 2004 corolla heater/ac blower just stopped working one day. But when i ran on a railroad and had a vibration, the fan suddenly started. Now, the motor had stopped working again. Tried to get a vibration again but not working this time. What do you think, some kind of loose connection?

    • @ToddsGarage
      @ToddsGarage  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Donald Versoza thats a tough one. You could take it out and clean the connections and reconnect everything to see if that gets it going again. Good luck hope you can get it going!

    Todd, do you know of any other issues that would cause the corolla to stop blowing any air? I replaced the blower motor but that wasn't the problem. I feel like I've checked all the fuses, unless there are hidden ones for the blowers. None of the settings blow any air, the AC light doesn't come on as well. There doesn't seem to be power getting to the blower motor. Could a switch in the knob be the problem?

    • @ToddsGarage
      @ToddsGarage  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another possibility is the blower motor resistor, follow the wires coming off the blower motor, it's a small plastic piece held on by a couple screws, should cost about 5-10 dollars. Good luck!

    Excellent video!!! I was able to fix it and it only cost the price of the part and about an hour of time. Them 3 screws that hold in the blower ain't no joke to screw out or in. I wish I had the star screw driver or at least a magnetic flathead. Maybe they would have made it easier.
