- A few years ago, we shared the story of Sarah McCarroll, who was diagnosed with cancer when she was just 16. Sarah, who is supported by our Teenage and Young Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist Renee, has come a long way and today, she is getting set to turn 21 and is looking forward to starting university in September. Sarah wanted to update us, and you, on how she is getting on and sent us this wonderful video.
Sarah is proud to #BeAFriend as she has benefitted directly from the charity through Renee, who has been by her side from the day she was diagnosed. Not only has she sent us an update, but Sarah is also very kindly asking family and friends to help celebrate her birthday by making a donation to the charity. If you would like to show your support and help make Sarah’s 21st birthday even more special, you can make a donation here: bit.ly/2P1yFgG
A big thank you to Sarah and her sister Naomi for the video and a big thank you to the whole family, including mum and dad Paul and Heather, for their continued support.
If you would like to #BeAFriend and show your support in our 35th anniversary year, we would love to hear from you. Send us a message or email us at info@friendsofthecancercentre.com 💛
