Great video! I just replaced the alternator on my 2004 Envoy. It is still idling a little rough and hope that cleaning the TB helps out. These SUVs are solid! Had mind for 17 years.
I had a rough idle on my 06 and this made all the difference in the world. So much so that I thought the engine died every time I came to a stoplight. Nope , just super smooth.
I was having acceleration issues and tried this, the gunk that was on the inside shocked me. Took me ten minutes and the result was amazing. It's not a race car or anything now but it's much better. I would recommend using a short 3/8 drive 10mm socket and a warbler extension for the bolts nearest the head to clear the coils. But thank you for the video!
I'm usually not a fan of background music but this video was different. I actually enjoyed it. Good tutorial man. Keep it up. Just bought a 02 Envoy 4x4 I'm about to fix up for my new daily.
Man you are a god send! Ive been looking for videos for the longest on how to work on my envoy. Took it to a shop and eas told it would cost me 800 buck to do a tune up .
Great video. I had this problem come up after I disconnected the battery for a welding job. Than immediately after I connected the negative and started the rig started sputtering and rough idling a LOT with the A/C on. I disconnected the battery, removed the 28 and 10 fuses that are throttle related I’ve seen on another video. Cleaned the throttle body completely( without removing it though) I have also been told that there is a chance of busting the O ring behind the throttle. I’ve stuffed a bunch of rags behind the body with the throttle open using the gas pedal trick. There was a lot of carbon buildup around the butterfly. It fixed that rough idling for sure. Thanks a lot for the video I know it take time to make it.
Oh and by the way I love the way you show your videos you do detail for detail you're awesome thank you so much for sharing these videos I learned a lot

Also changed the plugs. Noticed the first plug and coil pack wer pretty jacked up but the rest wer fine have u seen that before?
Thanks for the video. My 03 4.2 just started showing P0510 code which is "closed throttle positioning switch" I think I have to remove the throttle body and clean it thoroughly and see if it does the trick. Do I really have to reset the PCM after?
Ya'll make it look simple It's 10° outside right now so if I put some shit in the tank like Seafoam will that help? I can feel the rough idle in the steering wheel and it has a slight miss at idle when sitting at a light with it in drive
Hey Kenny just bought a used Chevy trailblazer going to follow tips to do tune up myself wanted to say thank you for the video I am having terrible with the blower for the heat and Ac can you give me some direction please and thank you
It could be alot of different issues. Could be a transmission issue not shifting or in limp mode. Could be a timing issue like the camshaft position solenoid and sensor or fuel issue. I even seen one that had a bad fan clutch and it would cause it have trouble accelerating. Or could be worn internals in the engine.
