Ok, Haha, you did NOT show the number six removal and replacement; that was the most fun for me, short wobble socket extension, swivel and a few unkind words were required. But overall, you did the same routine, very helpful, thanks!
This is what my husband and I are using to change out my #4 spark plug for misfire. We will be changing the rest out next week when I get paid, as well as the coils. I hope this makes her run smooth again until then. I have no choice but to drive to and from work, so this is a bandaid until next week. Thank you!
Glad i found this video. I am going to do a tune-up on my wife's 2004 Envoy XUV. Was going to buy her a new SUV but she loves the XUV and it has been a great vehicle. Just started running a little rough lately, but we have had it over twelve years and never had a tune-up. Always changed oil, but it ran so good i just never tuned it up. I know, that's pretty bad. Thanks again, i just subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!! Hope you get it straitened out.
Good video the music is dope appreciate sharing knowledge ima do mine now
Great video man. I just recently bought a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer LT with the 4.2. Has 164,000 miles on it. Still runs like a new vehicle.
Thanks man
I just got a 2006 with 155,00 miles on it I’m trying to get stuff to fix some stuff
I got a 2003 Trailblazer EXT LT only 134k miles and it runs awesome. just a couple little things I got to work on, like said tune up, I love the truck. Interior is in amazing condition and so is the exterior paint!
Still running?
@@enricopallazzo3244 mine is
Excellent and explicit video
i have a gmc envoy and some tips help save money...
Drops his smoke down spark plug one..... would have been a great plot twist! Thanks for the vid. Doing mine tomorrow.
😂🤷🏾♂️
Thanks again Kenny !
You welcome
Had a problem where I couldn't get over 50mph without severe hesitation/vibration. So today I changed out the spark plugs plus all 6 coil packs. My Envoy is 3 weeks shy of 19 years old. It's back to running smooth after that. Tomorrow I will be changing the fuel filter. They pay for themselves. In the beginning you pay less for a full tank of gas. It covers the cost of the filter and then some. I'll be changing the air filter, transmission filter/fluid also. In 19 years this will be my 3rd time changing the transmission filter and fluid. I remember after the first I thought to myself this was a one time deal. Well who would have thought a vehicle would last 19 years.
My bolt broke inside the head on my number 4. It's been about 10 years since that happened but i'd really like to get it drilled out. It's loose fitting. Vehicle runs fine though.
Did you only do 5? How about showing us how you got to the knuckle busting #6?
My camera battery died while filming and I didn't know it. I used a short extension and a swivel
Where did you get it fuel filter? Can't find it at auto zone and rockauto doesn't have a listing for fuel filters?
I got mine from rockauto. They have them under fuel/air. But you can try advance auto parts or napa or o'Reilly's
arent the threads of the plugs supposed to be lubed up or something like that idk just wondering...
You can use antiseize. I usually do when it comes to aluminum metals like the cylinder heads. But I didnt have any at the time
My #3 coil is broke in half how do I get the bottom part off of the plug?
Is it the rubber boot or the metal clip? I'd try using needle nose pliers.
Great vid and I like the music
How hard is it to get the last plug out? I have an 03 envoy, and I'm wanting to do a tune up on it, but my hands don't really allow me to work in really tight spaces...
Mine wasnt hard to get. I had to use a very short extension though. Sorry didnt film it my camera died an I didnt notice.
@@GrimeTimeWithKenny ah no worries, just seeing what I have to look forward to! 🤣
Did you skip the plug near the firewall?
I didnt the camera battery died
I inherited my mamma's 02 Envoy 3 years ago.. Love and miss you ma! mamma..Has 280 , 000 miles on it and runs beautifully.. Awesome power.. removed the muffler.. sounds sweet..I'm 65 going on 18..lol..I refuse to grow up..lol.. Same color as yours and I keep it detailed.. Paint is awesome.. Daddy.Rip..kept it up as do I.. Doesn't use any oil as the 4.2 was one of GMs good motors ad was the transmission..I am going to lower the rear end as they are top heavy
Great video
Did you have to gap sprak plugs
They were pre gapped but I did check them to be sure.
What is the gap supposed to be?
I don't remember right off. Think it was .044 should be on the emissions sticker under the hood.
Nice music.
Who is the band playing in the background? Nice!
Thanks for asking I forgot to put the link in the description but I added it now.
Man no one ever shows that last one in the back lol, I'm trying to figure it out. I feel like my extensions are too long
My camera battery died. I used a swivel and short extension.
@@GrimeTimeWithKenny Thanks, i was able to get it out. It wasn't as hard as it looked. I changed the coil packs and plugs and now I have a p0300 code. I need to take it apart and put the old ones back in maybe.
How many sparks plugs need replaced ? If doing all at once? I want to work on my gmc envoy 05 this week as well. Good video!
If yours is the 4.2L inline 6 like mine then it has 6. Some models have the 5.3L v8 which has 8.
@@GrimeTimeWithKenny thanks a lot.
No problem!
What about ignition coils bro?
I didnt have the funds to replace them at the time. But if you are needing to know how to replace them you can check out my first video
How’s it run with those autolite plugs?
Good
Sweet I’m gonna try a set thanks for the info
You didn’t show putting in that last spot plug
Yea my camera battery died
You didn't do the plug under the windshield I know it takes a little longer but it can be done go back and do it then shoot the video correctly
I did it my camera battery died. I used a deep well socket with no extension
Why would you smoke over an open engine?
Cause I'm a idiot sometimes lol
@@GrimeTimeWithKenny be safe
Awesome
Hard to hear over the loud music
Didn’t show the most important one…..the last oneeeeeeee
Camera battery died and I didn't notice. I just used a deep well socket and the shortest extension I had. I loosened the plug then removed the rachet to have room
That dang Envoy always getting worked on.
I'll get it in good shape one day! Lol
lose the music
Be a real mechanic and show a video of changing the fuel injectors.
who uses autolites....garbage
Music sucks, and is quite distracting. Please stop.
