"Andy RC Channel" noted that the PID warning card was not necessary as the T Hawk II senses the voltage differences when you change from 1s to 2s and auto changes the PID settings for you.
I just bought one in June 2021, and I can confirm this is still true. It's nice.
@@LookatTheseMuffins do you have the time to share some words of advice on the tinyhawk 2? I have had it for a month or so and have killed the 2s battery. My LHS doesnt have the emax 2s batteries for this drone on the regular but carry a few different tattu brand 2s batteries with an xt30 socket. Would you reckon i just buy more of the emax batteries offline or solder a xt30 socket to the board? Could i leave the original wires on there too and just tuck away whichever I'm not using?

Great review Nurk! Definitely need to add this to my tinyhawk collection. Love the new nano2 cam in it. So much better than the old one. I won the tinyhawk s from Emax on instagram a while back and of course my dog killed it a bout a month after I got it in. So instead of buying a new fc for it I think ima just get the new 2.0 👍. My originally tinyhawk I still rippin mockingbird settings and everything. Love that one but have a feeling this one will be a bit better especially with the cam. Hopefully some of the white flashes from the vtx were fixed.
Emax fan boy here I have most of their quads including the old night hawk lol. But the hawk 5 has been my fav from them. I even raced multigp with it for over a year. It did great and saw the podium a few times 👍👍
When you said you were going to have Kyle chase the drone, I thought you meant someone chasing you with another FPV. This was so much better! I was literally LOL. Also, I was about to pull the trigger on the OG Tinyhawk RTF kit (my first FPV), but fortunately they ran out just as I was about to. Kept checking for a couple weeks and then, for $10 more, they now have the 2 in the RTF. Should be here in a couple of days. So stoked to crack into this amazing hobby!

@@gamblegambit I dont think I would even attempt to fly with my shepherd's around. The fastest of them catches frisbees 7ft in the air on a daily basis
@@SweetStat my baby is older, bad hips, she'd be lucky to hop 3" off the ground. But when i fly 3" or bigger, she's tied to the chair, when the goggles are on.

Perfect timing my TH-s is about worn out and due for an upgrade. it seems like the turtle mode works much nicer on the TH2 than the TH-s , it takes a lot of effort to turtle flip with the TH-s.

I would say it flys about the speed of the tinyhawk s upgraded camera and vtx output is great though. Might get one too.
Thanks for putting this video together. Sounds like this 2.0 model is primary for indoor but outdoor capable. What would you recommend for me to use primarily outdoors but as a beginner? Would the Freestyle or Race be too much for me? Should I still start on the 2.0? Any reason to be concerned about wind? You mentioned something briefly when you were hovering over your roof.
Couldn't have come at a better time! I smoked my TinyhawkS cause I tried updating to 4.1 RPM Filtering (updated ESCs to 16.73) which I found out can't be done (motors wouldn't spin up) so when I tried flashing back to 4.0 my driver had an issue and disconnected right in the middle of flashing and now the FC is cashed. So I decided instead of paying $55 for a replacement FC I decided to upgrade to the Tinyhawk 2. Sure wish I could update to 4.1 RPM Filtering tho!

One guy said that beta has a setting to where Beta would change profiles automatically when each of the bats are plugged in
I really dig my tiny hawk but the S model wasn't enough for me to step up to that, but now with the better camera and being able to change the angle is huge depending on what mood I'm in, thanks again and keep doing what you're doin #KillerNurk

I'm in Indy too. Do you have any idea where I can buy batteries for the EMAX EZ Pilot? All I can find on the internet is from China and summer will be almost over by the time they get here. If you know of a store around Indy I'd appreciate any info.
Theres a full kit from emax with drone, trans, and goggles. Do you know if the trans and goggles will bind to other emax drones?

Interesting. The PID changes automatically but the rate profile - that hasn’t been mentioned - must be changed manually in the menu. Specially when using 2 S with rate on 1 it’s hard to control.

Fly that thing on rate mode indoors! 300deg/s on pitch roll and 500 on yaw. 70% expo, maybe more. No super rate.

Hey NURK. Did you put a throttle curve on this guy? If so, what did you find that works for you?
It doesn't work well with D16 ACCESS mode. Well it works after some settings in BF but official site says it doesn't and I got rxloss problem too often. Overall it looks like a nice drone for beginners.
What's the philosophy on the Left and right hand polarized matchsticks?
I got one of these gems, for 1S I use an XT30 and it is night and day. Voltage stability and flight times improved massively.
I found the PH2.0 just sags even on 1S waaay to much, you get to use like 300mah of the 450mah. First time I charged them after using xt30 I had used 410mah which is a massive difference in available voltage and mah.
Bt2.0 just sags as bad on a drome like this, its okay for 20g whoops like mob6 but if you use the 25000kv the bt2.0 won't cut it!!!!

haha...how to scratch you lovely wooden floors. Did you test the outdoor signal range and compare it to the 'original' tinyhawk? I have the original and at around 75 yards the signal drops out. I'm hoping the TH2 will give me better range. What's your thoughts.?

I love my tinyhawk.. I have other indoor drones and i still fly the tinyhawk.. My camera sucks. i have the regular runcam nano 2 700tvl .. but dont want to change and gain weight. baby ratel in my 2" is 1.2g more

I need some help...I recently purchased the Emax EZ Pilot FPV to learn some FPV basics and it is the most drone fun I've had for awhile. Here is my question as a newbie: Can I safely charge the 3.8V 450mAH batteries at a .6A rate? I have a switchable charging board for multiple batteries, but it seems like it takes forever to charge 5 batteries via USB at the .2A setting. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks! Nick "NB" was saying it will come set up to auto detect voltage im betaflight and select rate profiles accordingly for 1s voltage and 2s voltage?!... not sure of maybe this is why you fight notice a different wen not selecting the profile manually wen you switched batteries but it's something to look into...
