Take away line, "its very hard to criticise when it's so cheap". Exactly.
But Your mind also Create a Cheap because You are Cheaper Than this Pick up🤭🤭🤭🤭🤬🤬🤬🤬
True
Very good product. Nice very nice to look but how many price
It is when it looks like that 😅
The Landcruiser used to get away it too (as in, value for money), until they continued to pump the price up over the years.
It's gotten a lot more expensive for what it is, and it's overtaken by everything else in features.
Fun fact " it isn't available in India with the bed, only as an SUV". Considering the high prices of other pickups in India, this could've been so useful.
mahindra bolero camper
there is not enough big market in India for pickups
mahindra Scorpio GETAWAY launched in india in 2007....
Pickup...you can't beat bolero pickup in India...its smaller lighter and rugged. Better then scorp hence it's doing in Indian road.
@@omkute I like these but idont hve 10 lakh
I've had my S ule cab 4x4 for 3 onthsnow and have done 120000km's across South African Bush tracks, badly potholes roads, irrigated fields and not had one issue with it. Best value for money
That Mhawk engine is a gem
I own an S11 Pikup. It is fitted with EFS suspension and 4WD industries' 3 inch stainless exhaust and stainless snorkel. It now has plenty of grunt and tows our 1 tonne camp trailer cruising at 100 to 110 kms without issue. While not towing and simply cruising it returns less than 7 litres per 100kms. While towing it is 8 to 9 litres per 100km. The 16 inch wheels are a POSITIVE as it runs 75 profile tyres - when deflated this combination provided a long footprint which makes these units first class on the sand. Large diameter wheels are frowned upon in the real ozzie bush. If you are into practicality and not cosmetics you will find it trumps a lot of opposition which is why I have one.
Well said
Did you get rid of your exhaust underneath and put a resonator instead so the airflow is better on your exhaust system
110 kms?. Bro u need to slow ur pushing the limits of safety
no he is not. scorpio here in indian highways easily run at more than 160kmph, even it defeats a monocoque suv like Ford Ecosport in drag race super easily@@gobimurugesan2411
@@IDGAF56852 For your kind info Mahindra diesel engines are very reliable and can tackle extreme road and weather conditions.
South Africa assembles both the double and single cab variants and are very popular with the farming community, very reliable bakkie/ute/pick up.
@@CathodeRayNipplezIts even more funny to read that as a dutch speaker. Bak means something like Bin/car trunk. bakkie just sounds like a cuter version of it
I'm getting one, manual, diesel, basic. Rural South Africa.
@@yeahwhateveridc6062bakkie being Afrikaans, a language derived from Dutch, makes sense. Thanks for the historical connection.
I never knew the fact that mahindra had assembly plant in SA
@@vivekanandan5093 yep, in Durban.
They're a lot better offroad than people think. Seen one climb a muddy gully that a Landcruiser needed to winch.
There’s probably more to the story
lol yes, doesnt make any sense@@flight2k5
Yep. I've had one for 3 years, and I took one on a hunting trip on a massive property (160,000+ hectares). The other men on the hunt were well-off guys with $100,000+ utes. We switched off as drivers, and I ended up driving a retired businessman to the other side of the property on a failed pig hunt. We ended up fording a stream and climbing an extremely steep unsealed road, and the little Mahindra climbed up the mountain like a mountain goat. When we got back to camp that night, he the others asked how the Mahindra performed, and he praised its climbing ability. I've taken the thing through tropical rainforest rivers, mud, rocky roads, and even left a $100,000+ Toyota rig in the dust on an unsealed road coming back from the Iron Range.
It's an ugly vehicle with some strange features (e.g. square cup holders), but it's a great truck for someone who just wants an old-school truck that gets the job done.
It's not cheap, but it's decent, practical, and rock solid reliable, yes IndiansUTEs are becoming popular
Let's not defend this brother. 30k is nothing for a country earning about 60k a year on an avg.
@@dhruvilkumpavat6037 that's also true, unfortunately in India this variant is not available
Its not cheap but it is however the most affordable pickup truck in Australia that is reliable.
@dhruvilkumpavat6037 that's 50% of your yearly wage. Seems a bit high to me
Reliable?😂😂😂lol... Have you owned a mahindra?
I spent a little bit of time in rural India.... When you see how they load them up and treat them they are truly bullet proof. I like the agricultural feel of them, a bit like the old Land Rovers.
It's not cheap, it's affordable.
It is underrated . A shame, because it's a heck of a lot more capable than people realise. A bit more kick from the engine wouldn't hurt
It's a proper off roader pick up with 4 low and yet no off road testing.
Must say very comprehensive review mate.
Going round the tarmac.
When you saw its popular in rural Australia in your outbacks.
That's for what pick ups are made for.
I like this channel, honest review for every car and it doesn’t matter if it’s luxury or any other car. Great work. 👍👍 cheers
I appreciate that!
It gets from A to B slower than a T. O. Y……but it’s definitely worth looking at for remote work applications. Might consider it.
Why is it good for remote work?
Wait for Scorpio-N Pik Up. Revealed just few days back.
@@3Areviews seen it. Looks damn good
How are you going to get parts & service in a remote work area ?? 😩
@@edwardfletcher7790 I’m looking into that at the moment. Suppliers will start stocking parts if they haven’t already. Remote and rural farmers are buying these at the moment. For the price it’s worth a gamble to see. Toyota has issues with getting parts all the time with our fleet and always use the excuse of part shortages due to the big C.
Mahindra sells 3 special edition Karoo for the Pik Up in South Africa named Karoo Dusk, Storm and Dawn.
Your 100% correct in semi rural parts of Oz theres quite a few of them and farmer gave me review on it it has Toyota like reliability can't kill them
People use the word underrated all the time, but this car is literally that.
Great review as usual. Talking about underrated utes. I recently bought a new hilux poverty pack single cab Ute auto petrol. For $33500 As I am retired and live on acreage. My family and friends laugh at me, but for some reason every time I drive it I have a big smile on my face. Very handy underdog vehicle.
Scorpio N based Global pikup looks awesome, but its supposed to be coming in 2026 or something but if launched earlier it would be a blockbuster.
Great news. They look good. I might be able to afford 1 by then.
Recently started watching your reviews. It is interesting and informative
Welcome aboard!
Loved my Pik Up for three years, not a single issue with it after driving the Eyre, Stuart, Birdsville, Gemfields etc.
Traded it for a Scorpio N
Even happier now !!
WHAT IF Mahindra starts selling the KAAROO edition pickups in Australia that are sold in South Africa??. these folks will surely drool over it. 🤤😁
impressive pickup! gets the work done; no drama! you both are fun btw
The first Mahindra was released in Australia in 1990 a basic copy of a Jeep CJ 3 / 5. The press release was held in the bush at Bushells Ridge / Wyee NSW. I know because one of the talentless journalists took out my boundary fence..
It's not copy.... mahindra and mitsubishi was licensed to make vehicles in jeep cj3b design.... but when it comes to #Thar yes they copied design of wrangler
And by 1995 there was only a handful left on the road... LoL
Well they only did 80 km/h.
@@TheTripleDubya I think the body panels turning into ferric oxide by the end of the first wet season was a bigger problem 😀LoL
@TheTripleDubya I think they had the 1.9 Peugeot diesel slug bucket engine?
I really love your format guys. Very entertaining.
Mahindra scarpio N pick up is tecnically nextgen to this vehicle. But I feel keeping this car also in the lineup makes sense as it is sold at extremely lowprice.
As for going around corners at reasonable Highway speeds once you get used of the body the way it handles you can turn corners quite fast actually I have tried it already and it works well
it is based on a scorpio SUV sold in india, and the scoprio n is the next generation and the og scorpio is still sold in india in high no. that's the level of craze it has india , and you can say mahindra scorpio pickup is an adm (Australian domestic market) we envy you bcoz for no reason it is not sold in india
They do sell bolero pickup though. theres no market for $25k pickup in India.
@@asdasdasdqwe123 they are big like most of the pickups, so day to day usage gets cumbersome , and the indian roads are packed with traffic so , less sales
Hands down the best car reviewers! You guys crack me up 😂😂
Mahindra went wrong by getting Homer Simpson to do the design brief. Square up the body, put a solid axel under the front (which would be cheaper as well) and a bit more power and they'd be on a winner.
The new Mahindra Scorpio Pik up will be teased in Cape Town, South Africa this month
😂 True that
@@CathodeRayNipplez😂
Time for a long-term review, I reckon with the typical 4wd mods thrown at it like it's usually done here in Aussie land, ....Keen to see what reliable power might be available with this asthmatic 2.2ltr engine!!!! Go on, you know you wanna do it!!!!
This isn't even sold in India anymore. Also I highly agree with the point on plastics. Mahindra is known for their reliability and build, but not their plastic, its terrible.
I mean in India we have Bolero Pick Up
It looks pretty good without bullbars in front and new Scorpio(6 seater SUV) lights at the rear end
But I agree with most of your judgement on this particular model
Buy this & customise it with after market mods, better tyres, engine tuned to ur preference, it will end up becoming truly a unique personnel vehicle.
Good to see a new reliable twin cab ute at an affordable price. You guys are so funny. 😂
This car looks amazing 😍
They have tested this in the Himalayas too! So good for snowy and icy roads. Just drive slow on corners. I like to save money and spend it on vacations to create memories
fun fact, this car is actually the pik up version of original 2nd gen scorpio. this was actually sold as the pik up version in india back in 2007 named getaway but since it didnt do well so they didnt bother bringing it back but glad to see its getting love at the land down under
Hello, I just bought a new 2021 Mahindra 4 door 4x4 Pikup S11 in Costa Rica and I am looking for a instruction tutorial of how to program the infotainment system... can you help?
I havent seen even 1 of these in India. Mahindra is a popular brand, but pickups arent really a thing in India. I dont think Mahindra even sells these here
Search Bolera. They sell that in India and they popular in Himalays and village
They sell bolero pick-up/mini truck...
There tons of them in rural India especially Rajasthan and Gujarat
I used to provide my staff with Hilux Ute's, but they mistreat them, hunting.shooting etc with the compnay cars.
This year traded them all in for Mahindras. Loads cheaper and no issues yet. They get good use on our beef property at Goondiwindi, so I'm impressed.
Where did you get your information from that this thing is used in remote Australia
For a daily truck/pick up it’s pretty decent. If Mahindra can work on better storage, cup holders, improve the safety features, punchier engine, more comfortable seats then Mahindra will definitely be onto a winner! It got three stars for safety and lacks modern safety equipment, which is bit of a let down. Granted not everyone needs the most high-tech 4x4, but it needs to be dependable. Yes it’s cheap and you get what you pay for. Mahindra could easily be an industry leader and the Pik-Up could do with some improvements which would not break the bank whilst keeping it competitive and affordable.
Love from India 💙
yeah bro... I totally agree with you.. they should have provided 2 bedrooms, kitchen and a bathroom space for the money you paid... being an Indian, I strongly condemn this thing...
I like em. They look as pretty as me. Althought my current is a 2.9 120kw 345nm terracan which also looks as pretty as me. But i probably wouldnt exactly want to go to a lower power to weight ratio.
you tested it like a sedan on the road .....it's a 4wd fellers whats the turning circle like the 4wd test over bumps ?
New one coming in August 15th this year, based on the ScorpioN platform.
Its mhawk is constructed with tractor parts, it is durable.
"But it can hold a ton of weight in the rear, as I've demonstrated by me being in the back" 😂. The best self depreciating auto joke I've heard
On a different note, It might be popular in Remote areas due to the fuel efficiency. If there's one thing the Indians love the most, it's extracting the last kilometre of distance for the fuel
This is a quite perplexing pickup. They were dealer sold in my country for a few years, around 2014 or so, and contrary to the commentary in this video, they weren't known as being reliable at all. The dealer support was also trash, so many of them sat unused sometimes for months, awaiting spare parts. They've all but evaporated from the roads here... I've seen maybe one on the road between the thick of the pandemic to now, despite fairly strong sales when new.
I would caveat all of the aforementioned though by saying quite a few times, my country has received "new" vehicles which turned out to be unsold overstock from other markets. In some cases, the vehicles sat at port yards for years (5 years being the worst case we know about, for a batch of Renault cars which were sold as new cars here back in 1999-2001). I mentioned all of this because it's very plausible that's what happened with the Mahindras we got, although I can't say for certain. Either way, the brand is basically dead in my market... it'll take god-level marketing and promotions to sell them here again with any success.
And as for the cup holders at the front it actually holds medium sized coffees without spilling while driving I know this from going to Mount Isa from Queensland Brisbane
But when the inevitable spill does happen it’s liquid right into the 12V socket!!
The title alone deserves a like 😂
The new scorpioN based pikup is on the way. Will launch shortly
Yes.. Eagerly waiting for Him..
Good review on tar. What about off-road?
Realistically, a snorkel and a lift kit (and the usual bullbar, winch and so on) it would be a very capable off roader. The lift kit would hopefully fix that poor departure angle but the tub does hang over past the rear tyre a bit
This things are literally used in India army around one of the toughest terrain among the Indian borders
0 - 100kmph in an 80kmph zone, bit cheeky
One of honest reviewer
Need this in Canada ASAP
The fact is that we don't get Pick up version here instead we have The Classic Scorpio and The new Scorpio N , by the way I am from India and I love your channel ❤❤
I never thought I'd be laughing watching a car review.
Screaming face got me good.
Tell you but mine is quite quick I have a dual cab s11 pickup 2023 and the pick-up passing vehicles trucks going to Mt Isa was quite quicker than what you have said
I can watch this channel just for these two made for each other friends for hours 15:11, being Indian and nothing to co-relate except begin proud of my country and Mahindra.
16" tyers are still the most practical 4x4 tyers.
Good on you mate! It looks like your parents fed you well!
This car sells as a property 4x4 SUV as well as cab pickup in India, been selling since its origin close to 23+ years!!! Still today everywhere u have a waiting period of more than 1-3 months before u can buy a Scorpio. Specially Black colour.
They saying its ok for the price but if u can afford more expensive u should buy that ...its all about budget it won't disappoint you if u hav low budget worth the price
Mahindra Scorpio pikup is highest selling in nepal , bhutan , South Africa, etc..
But in india , Mahindra pik up is not available but Mahindra bolero , pik ups are available and Mahindra 7 seater Scorpio is available, which is used by mafia , military and police 😅😅😅
I want to buy this in India. Where can I get it from?
What's the availability of spare parts like?
I've heard that you can wait a long time for even basic parts.
It look good and match the price but the only thing look so funny because the wheel so small it should be to 18 or 19inch to look as proper pickup and look competitive to other pick up...
plz do a test offroad side by side with mahinda and toyota
This truck is also based on the previous Gen scorpio which is why it looks like a Scorpio with a Ute Bed
I am an ex mahindra owner and i had endless problem with my gearbox. Everyday driver mostly highway no towing and had to get my gearbox reconditioned 2 time in less than 2 years
This is halarious! The funniest parts are when you keep comparing it to a landcruiser🤣😂🤣😂
It's basically the Indian version of lc79
@@hi9580nahh bro
I have never seen this pik up in India 😮 I think they used to sell these .
7:27 Tf does the infotainment system need MS Teams for ??
Wait for Scorpio-N Pik Up. It will hit the sweet spot.
7:08 Scorpio pick up is not available here in India, Scorpio pick up used to come with 2nd or 3rd gen Scorpio but it didn't came with this gen Scorpio ever
One of the best pick up
The one of most affordable and Value for money SUV.
We see a few of these here in Colombia, not a lot but probably more common than Chinese utes are
Love from India
Now we need a ssangyong musso review.
Musso is underrated for sure, and its built in South Korea which is something you can't say about any other ute (not that there's anything... 100% wrong about it) except for the good ol Falcon and Commodore ute.
As someone who had both utes on their initial shopping list. You can literally buy a long wheelbase base spec Musso for the same money. Better interior with more room, bigger tub, better ride, safety features. No bull bar though.
i dont get why the thing is fugly. Mahindra could have done a better job on the rear. but yes, the reliability is legendary. John Rooth did an amazing a great job telling us why this rig is so good.
It's too old model. They are planning for thar pickup
I work as a Heavy Diesel fitter and yes there not Pretty But they will do me for many years because there the Tool i need for my line of work and they go and go and go
This ute is based on scorpio classic available in india
Do they come out in a single cab because my friends wouldn’t get in it anyway, so no need for a back seat
In South Africa we get S4 and S6 single cabs , I have the S4 single cab pick up 4x4
Great review. I'll never get to try this vehicle because they don't meet import requirements for the US. So you thought "General Grabber" sounded dirty but nothing from "fist me" or "tickle my little pickle". 🤔😂
Love you bro❤

Scorpio n pick up is on the way for Australia
Mahindra showcased next gen concept for this car today in India.
Even after buying pininfarina, Mahindra still lacks in designing a car, scorpion looks good but don't like other cars, the reliability, practicality and fuel efficiency are only thing i like in Mahindra.
“G-Forces bro, g-forces! That’s gravity…”, starts regretting watching the video….
Pure VFM at this price!
It discontinued many years ago in India because of low demand now it's only in foreign market now it's place taken by Mahindra pickup
My brother got a 2009 model still going an it’s been all over Australia an I had a2010 an went more places than any other 4wd but I’m am a nut behind the wheel I was going to buy the s11 but I don’t like the adblue crap so I will be getting the s10 unfortunately
