  • Welcome to the latest update on our Mahindra pickup testing program! We've got two vehicles now, the original S10 manual test vehicle that many of you have been following for a couple of years and our new S11 automatic.
    Our S10 has just clocked over 90,000 kilometres, while our S11 pickup has just hit 10,000 kilometres. We've recently put these vehicles through a rigorous torture test on Alva Beach, and we've got plenty of good footage that you'll see around that one.
    Despite some wear and tear, especially on the clutch of the S10, we're pretty happy with how these vehicles have been holding up. We've made a few fixes, like a new clutch and an overhaul on the rear wheel cylinders, but these are within expectations given how the vehicles have been used.
    Our S11 automatic, the "Red Rocket", had a diff failure at 1,500 kilometres due to a faulty component. However, Mahindra quickly replaced the part, and since then, the vehicle has been completely faultless. The automatic transmission performs well, and it's proven its power on the beach, even when towing a camper.
    We'll continue documenting any faults, repairs, or failures for as long as possible. If you're thinking about a Mahindra, stay tuned, if you want to see us continue to test this vehicle. Feel free to comment if you've had similar experiences, as your feedback can help everyone.
    As always, we'll check in on these vehicles again soon, with the next update on the S10 expected around 100,000 kilometres. Stay tuned, and thanks for watching!

    We own an S6 4x4 double cab Karoo spec. Fantastic vehicle. It has handled terrible road conditions from smooth tar, potholes tar and poorly maintained rocky dirt roads with the failure of ball joints and shocksxat 118000km's. Amazing! I absolutely love my Mahindra S6 4x4 d/c Karoo pikup.

    Bought a Manual Pick up in September 2015. In 4 years of owning the thing the gearbox blew up Twice. Mahindra would not replace it with a new one! They rebuilt it twice and I got rid of the lemon before it blew up completely.

    I believe the S10 manual is no longer available. Be interesting to see how the auto performs overtime.

    Did you replace the clutch with a OEM replacement or did you put something heavier in?

    I do hope Mahindra pays attention to the way you review vehicles, heck I think they should keep you guys on payroll. You guys do a more comprehensive job than those in India.

      Not big or thirsty enough! All jokes aside, they probably don't make it in LHD, India being RHD like the rest of the former British colonies.

    Can a factory snorkel be fitted to a S10 with regular scrub rails ???

    • @MikeCarneyMahindra
      @MikeCarneyMahindra  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There are 2 scrub rails for Mahindra. For those wants fit snorkel, the Part No is.
      MDMAHBRUSHBAR02 - Brush Rails Steel Powder Coated - Snorkel Compatible
      The standard one causes damage for the Snorkel due width issue.
