  • Ever since our Mahindra videos have been going VIRAL, we have received COUNTLESS PEOPLE asking us to review cars that we just don't get in Australia!
    So today we are looking at 3 hand picked cars I would love to see make it to Australia. There is something really special about the Mahindra Thar, Tata Harrier and Mahindra Bolero Classic that I think would make them great contenders for the Australian market... but it's not that easy. Between lawsuits and poor safety, there are definitely a few things not in favour of some of these cars. But, I'd still love to see them and review them properly! So let's dive into the 3 Indian Cars I would love to see in Australia!

    When India was a closed market from independence (1947) to 1991, there were no foreign auto manufacturers allowed to manufacture and/or sell in their vehicles in India. Mahindra actually took a license from Jeep to manufacture Jeep vehicles in India, starting with the Jeep Willy’s during this period. The license expired sometime in the last decade or so, and Jeep sued Mahindra in the USA for infringement. Since then Mahindra has slightly modified the design of the Thar.

    To all TATA fans, TATA needs a lot of R&D on their technologies rather than buying international models and copying it.. Mahindra invested heavily on engine R&D decades ago and here they are growing at a good pace.. however Tata still outsources it's engine and gearbox and does facelift only..

    • @nabeels1183

      Mahindras engines got better as they benefited from their joint ventures. The TGDI tech came from Ssangyong and diesels (apart from Mhawk) got a big push from Renault. Rather than R&D, its the JVs with tech giants that saved Mahindra. You'll understand this if u drive their NA 3 cylinder engine that came before the JV with Ssangyong.. Its an underpowered engine and NVH nightmare. All engines that currently Tata uses apart from 2.0 FCA is inhouse. FCA engine is used only bcos Tata's own 2.2 Varicor engine is incompatible with the D8 platform. Tata is the one who invested heavily in engine R&D. Even Indica had inhouse engines and Tata developed inhouse SUV petrol engine in 2002 itself.

      @@nabeels1183 Mahindra Mhawk engine was good and it's current engines are also better than TATA.. I honestly think after buying JLR , TATA copied it's platform but on engine front they need to do a lot..

      Actually Tata doesn't have an inhouse rival for Mhawk engine currently. They currently use the 2.0 FCA. Tata till 2020 had Varicor 400 engine, which was a fantastic engine. That engine used to come in Safari Storme and Hexa, produced more bhp and torque output than Mhawk. Mahindra's Mfalcon engine is the shittiest among 1.2 3 cylinder engines.

    • @nabeels1183
      @nabeels1183 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Valuable_vivek its no secret Tata is using a platform derived from LR for their SUVs. Current Tata engines are based on old tech but they are reliable and efficient. They are developing new engines as we speak, in 1.2 and 1.5 configuration in TGDI. Unlike mahindra which relies on TGDI tech from outside, Tata develops it inhouse

    EV - midsize Suv - tata Nexon (game changer in the market) other major player Toyota Hyryder and rebadged Suzuki Vitara - both in hybrid specs. They also come with a manual awd - with suzukis all grip tech.

It's a most underrated car in india yes may be there are few issues with the car like the interior thing but beleive me it's for the company budget it's very low and low means it's almost about a bike company's budget...and the most interesting part of this car is that it has a 40 year old mercedes g- wagon engine and even the looks are same . And in Indian this company makes every luxury car engine like Bmw mercedes and all.

    The Balero is very under powered for Australian driving conditions.
    It is a good car to use on a large farm... but very bad for city or urban conditions. It is a rock-solid car and will last for a very long time.
    I think they have a newer Balero, which is a slight improvement, but it still fits the category of a rural car. They are made for carrying heavy loads and not for driving above 80k/h.

      You really think a Mahindra Thar is safer than a Wrangler? 😂😂. The Wrangler scored 1 Stars because it flipped during the small overlap crash test or else it performed decently in front offset and very good in side impact. The most recent test of Wrangler in IIHS proves it. Good in front overlap, good to moderate in side impact, good in roof strength, good in head restrains and seats and only bad in small overlap again since it flipped again. Happens due to solid axles in front. Thar wont score even a single Star as it lacks equipment like side airbags
