This has to be the simplest, yet sufficiently in depth video about softwash set ups! It really inspires and encourages to keep on washing! Loving it man. Thank you.
this is just how im setting up... i noticed something.... i noticed the hooks on your horizontal ratchet straps are facing in... might just want to flip them around so they dont wear a hole over time with any heavy bumps. AWESOME SETUP!
How does the proportioner work? How do you know where to turn the settings to? I know nothing about this obviously, but I want to learn and start a little pressure washing company on the weekends. I really appreciate your video very informative.
Just what im looking for ..thanks for making the vid man! I was gonna do a pickup bed build but i got dirtbikes to ride..lol and my truck is a older 2000 s10 so if it breaks down id be screwed .(knock on wood) How much was that trailer ? If U dont mind..
Hey Kurt - Great video, and I've watched a ton of pressure washing videos. I have also been pressure washing for years in PA. My question to you is, how do you dial-back the PSI, if you have a 4CPM/4,000 PSI machine? The most PSI I use is 3,500 to clean concrete. I have a 4,000 machine but avoid using it because the high PSI was blowing out hoses & guns, and applying too much pressure. I do residential and 3,200-3,500 PSI is usually good for most anything. Thanks and good luck to you moving forward.
You can change the PSI on your pressure washer with the unloader, check on TH-cam there's many videos on it, I could also touch base and make a video on it as well
Hey bud I love the set up this video gave me a lot of knowledge on how I'm going to set up my trailer. The only question I have is how do you get the SH or surfactant in the pressure washer? To me it only looks like it's set up for the soft wash. Do you use surfactant or Sh in the pressure washer?
Look nice and compact but I just had one question...Is it not a pain in the ass to un-roll and roll up the hoses when they're recessed into the trailer like that? Maybe some wood underneath to raise them up.
Great video! So you’re running 200ft of high pressure hose? Are you losing any pressure at your wand? I jumped over from 100ft to 200 but I’m losing a good bit of pressure any recommendations?
Do you ever have problems with your proportioner not pulling through evenly? I have this problem with the last 2 I have bought neither working well even though the pump seems to be running fine. Water and soap comes through easy but I have to have chlorine on like 4% before it even comes through
How well does pull water from tank being that is a direct drive,I going to buy that same machine but I was told won’t pull from buffer tank, but I see you have it connect straight to tank ? Thanks
Are you losing power since your pressure cleaner is not belt driven and you have it connected to a tank? I’ve heard you need a belt driven to use a tank
@@kurtspressurewashing and how is your tank giving you the Gpm that you need just like a spigot will? Do you think the float valve is helping you in any type of way? Thanks in advance 🙏🏻👍🏼
@@SharkCityPressureCleaning the pressure washer pulls the needed amount of the water from the tank. Float valve only helps cut the water off when the tank gets full.
Water weighs 8 pounds per gallon, if you have a 100 gallon tank that's 800 pounds of water pushing it through the hose at the bottom into the pressure washer...
@@kurtspressurewashingany chance you could show us how much water the tank is producing gravity feeding your pressure washer and I thought the pressure washer needed to be lower than the tank. Thx
How are you feeding the pressure washer when it's being tank fed? I was told it's impossible if I could send you a picture of my build it is literally the same minus the proportioner
@Kurtspressurewashing Some sufactant comes with color marking dye, when it mixes with SH & water it makes the water look pink or red ext. Trying to find some that's not so expensive.
Your drop stick is using PVC IPS threads, but is connecting to a female garden hose thread. You should have used a barb X female IPS threaded fitting. Also your fresh water hose connection is required to be an air gap connection 2X the effective opening from the water source to where it goes into the tank. That valve you are using is in violation of safe water standards and lacks the required design to prevent cross contamination. 😊
Watched one of your shorts and you asked if I'd give 10% discount to the idiot that did not want you to use his water to do the job. Being self imployed in the past , I would consider it only to save face and continue to build my buisness. You can bet if he told anyone about your service he also told them about his "discount"...no worries, just as I'm sure you know by now.....verbally have the clients agree to use their water as well as sign the contract when doing any work for them. Be well, it's a good buisness you got going there.
Will try to do one in the future, I didn’t know much about TH-cam and making videos while I was building it. Hope it helped just a bit! And hope to see you stick around :)
Quick question, what’s the reason for using 2 filters for your main water tank? One going in from hose which makes sense, and then another coming out into the proportioner? I’m building my own setup and am curious!
Your able to run that 4gpm machine off a buffer tank without a 12v pump? Im hearing unless they are gravity fed or belt driven the pump on a 4gpm machine won't pull from a tank? How did you make that happen?
This has to be the simplest, yet sufficiently in depth video about softwash set ups! It really inspires and encourages to keep on washing!

Appreciate the comment! Thank you!
Appreciate it man for sharing , thank you for not trying to sell this for 200, as a super solution for work, it’s popular now. Thank you.
More Flow More Dough! Love that!

Awesome vid. Would love to see the actual build process from a bare trailer to this
Hopefully one day! If someone wants to buy a trailer build I’ll definitely make a vid
@Kurtspressurewashing can you build this for a truck? Maybe make it on pallets?
u got nice set bro, keep up the good work, u should do a skid build

So do all the hose reels and everything all bolt through the aluminum floor all pretty much the same? Just a hole with bolts nuts and washers?
Love your video, super helpful for me, you keep it simple. Tyvm. One question, blue reel, gray hose, what's that one for?

Putting a second nut underneath tire each bolt will lessen the chances of things shaking loose

Hey! awesome videos. Would you be able to link which hose reels you use?
How’s is work cranking those hose reels? Looks like a knuckle buster
That metal hook on your strap is going to make a hole in your tank. Id turn them around or bend them so they dont touch the tank.
Nice build

Downstream injector!
better explanation needed of where and how each hose is connected. Vague on the second flexzilla hose connection.
Check my other video on my channel!
You want him to come over to your house and build it for you?
This is exactly what I’m looking for!! Thanks man again!! Appreciate all your in depth videos, it will help us out a lot! Where are you located?
My company is based in minnesota!
100 gallon tank is good enough? Seems like that thing would empty in under 30min. I’m looking to buy
Trailer may be nearing maximum capacity, 100 gallons is around 830Lb plus all the other items adds up.
Good videos brother. Keep them coming.
thank you so much!
Does it matter if you have a 5/8 or 3/4 garden hose?
I’m assuming you get more flow from a 3/4?
Did you think about stacking those hose reels?
That’s my next project! Going to stack them and then get another same one of the hose reels for my high pressure hose and sell the cox reel
do you have a link to the proportioner?
Look nice and compact but I just had one question...Is it not a pain in the ass to un-roll and roll up the hoses when they're recessed into the trailer like that? Maybe some wood underneath to raise them up.
Not at all, if they are fully out (250 feet) it takes me maybe a minute to crank them in. The general pump hose reels move fast and smooth
I’m looking for the 5/8 General Pump hose reel and all I see is one that holds 150 feet. Are you sure you’re using 5/8 hose?
If you get a chance can you do an itemized list? What sizes hoses do you think work best? 5/8? And for high pressure what size? Is that ID or OD size?
Check the description I put links to all the stuff!
Nice job boss, you should be proud that you could build something from nothing!
Thank you!
How many jobs does the 100 gallon tank last for you? Is the 100 gallon tank necessary or more for convenience?
Where is the water manifold/proportioner you mentioned? It’s not in description
Hey Kurt love the setup where did you get your hose reels from, there are no links in the description??

How were you able to prime your pressure washer from the water tank ? Could use help I have a similar set up
Hey bro you forgot to include links for the hose reels and proportioner
Sorry about that! I will update soon, but they are general pump hose reels and proportioner is from cigar city softwash
Do you not use a downstream injector?
Did not see that set up anywhere?
I do, I only put it on when I need it though! For house washing

No need for gravity either on a 4gpm??
do you have a water pump for the water running to your pressure washer?
No, it is just connected to my pressure washer
