Nice setup, but you definitely don’t need a setup like this to get started. I started out with a $2300 pressure washer kit and jammed everything into the back of an SUV. Over time, I bought a trailer, hose reels, water tanks, and built a soft wash system. You’ll realize pretty quickly what you should prioritize adding to your setup once you start taking on jobs. Customers will ask for services that you may not have the equipment for. If you front the cost, the job the new gear allows you to take will often pay it off. Great video and good insight into the industry.
I'm considering doing this in Canada it would be PT and seasonal, but I'm with this guy I'm burnt out and would like to try something on the side, aiming to do small commercial stuff, basic entranceways, do you think a 3.5gpm machine and surface cleaner is enough?
Breaking it down, $100,000 in one month would mean he'd have to be charging $3,300 per day every single day in 30 days. I seriously doubt he's getting that type of job every single day, especially when he stated he charges driveways starting at $175. And probably not working every single day of the month. Since he has employees, he's not making that much. He did not share what he pays out for wages, insurance, workers comp, etc.
@@connerison3229 Not with just one small trailer like that one. And not without many employees and a lot more equipment. You can make decent money with your own trailer and doing it yourself but even the big companies aren't making $100,000 a month.
@@geoffreybarr5395 Yeah I am sure he does too. But that means he's paying multiple employees to run the other equipment. He is not making $100,00 a month just by himself. And I seriously doubt he's working 30 days a month.
@@Hayyyward I know that if you do a Japanese restaurant Hood Cleaning at night that brings in about $2200 to $2600, but it all depends on how many hoods you clean and normally its about 10 to 14
From my point of view about a van/box truck vs a trailer is not the room or lack there of but more so if that van doesn't start, your business is shut down until it's fixed. With a trailer you have options, you can pay someone to haul your trailer and at least drop it where you're working because as long as the trailer is on site then you can wash the house.... surface clean the driveway.... detail the car etc..... Worse comes to worse, you can go to U-Haul and rent a truck for a week and even if you break completely even or have to come out your account with $300...$400 even $500 to break-even it's better than not being able to take care of your customers and losing $2000 for that week.. That is the reason I have 3 trailers rather than van/box trucks.. Just my opinion
As an owner-operator, the hardest part is landing the job. However, you can make much more than the average corporate worker...Bringing in 250k a year from a single truck/trailer is not unheard of.

Great comment @Guardianpressurewashing. I was getting a little discouraged watching this and seeing his build out, but you brought me back. Thanks 👍

I would suspect it to be a commercial deal, very possible.

How many workers?
How many trailers?
Wholesale deals. Is this wholesale for homes or something else.
Hi! why has everyone built their setup on a trailer? wouldnt a van be better?
With the trailer it’s easier to fix if you have any leaks .. with the enclosure van it’s more of a tight space to work with if anything happens
@@BigBilck good point.
Maybe the car serves another purpose such as family hauler on weekends
A trailer can be parked in a storage unit nightly to prevent theft.

Just started the video, but if that's his truck with the dent in it, I'm going to guess he's legit.
Haha!

i don’t like the corporate lifestyle either but how the hell do u go from that to pressure washing 😂
You can make a whole a lot more having a water pressure business!

there is no way i would carry a full tank of water in that place where he has it. he is asking for fishtailing.
Most people don’t drive with that much water. It was probably filled in the video because they were at a job.
Ummm.... is he doing this in his Jordan's?!?!
I noticed the J's too!
Is this another video about selling an overpriced pressure wash skid?
Dude doesn't know as much as hes putting off like he does. Hes just good at sales
That surface cleaner is way to big for that pressure washer
