Bro, I am so thankful for you. Im a college student with a sedan, and I grew up pressure washing. As someone who is financially independent trying to pay my way through college and provide the best service to my custermers, this is a game changer. I have avoided some jobs because I do not have the adequate softwash setup ( I have been using a backpack pump sprayer), but this changes most things and enables me to provide excellent service to the client. I want to honor God with my work, so I never want to take on a job I wont be able to do my best in. God bless
Great tutorial, Kyle! Cut a 6 inch section of pool noodle and cut a lengthwise slit in the noodle and place over the bucket handle to relieve hand strain while holding a 50 pound bucket.
The fact that you took the time to show this free tip speaks volumes. I like to move my buckets around strapped to a dolly, and it gives me a place to wrap up my hose
I had a similar set up with a 15 gallon barrel, a walmart marine deep cycle, and a 60 psi-5gpm seaflo, all mounted on a horrible freight hand truck. when full i wheeled it out of the van, when empty, lifted it out. had an additional identical set up with a chemical resist pump. perfect (for me) set up! BTW....your vids are great, thanks :)
Not in the business but I made a bucket set up using: Harbor Freight/Drummond 1/10hp transfer pump. Lowe's 90 degree garden hose connector. Lowe's 120v 15a cut off switch. Harbor freight garden hose cut down to 6 foot. Harbor freight spray nozzle. I use it for everything. Soft washing roof, siding, fencing. Spraying liquid fertilizer. Spraying insecticide.
Sorry if this question is silly but how does the pump turn on when you squeeze the handle of the wand? Do you manually turn on the pump when you are ready to spray?
Ok so we had a bunch of old stuff and decided to build a dolly cart with a 15gallon tank. I have an absolutely huge deck nest spring and a resort in Geneva this fall. Fill it walk and spray. Drop it surface clean and repeat. Didn't want the hassle of carrying it. I did add a fuse to protect it since it's water and electricity. And I've got a ton of old 5gallon jugs that I'm going to convert likewise for the dolly as well. All I needed was a used piece of steel to bolt the hardware to and I'm golden. Thanks for the idea!
Bro, love the content being following for years. Using a Dewalt 4 gallon 20volt backpack sprayer. $225. Cleaning everything that needs 3-6% +. Given I didn’t need the battery lol
Thanks for the video Kyle. I had everything I needed to make the bucket but the battery adapter which I just ordered from Amazon. I didn’t even think about doing this. It will now make it easier to post treat concrete and other things. You’re the Boss when it come to educating.
If you’re using a 12v battery you don’t need to change anything. If however you are using an 18v or 20v you need to install a battery reducer in between the pump and battery. I’ve burnt up a pump before finding this out. #washon
Great video Kyle.. You are doing a great job.. I think maybe you should make your followers aware of what chemistry they are using vs. which hoses are used.. chemical resistant or standard hoses.. I once experienced using strong corrosive chemistry in a pump up sprayer with regular hoses, it burst after a few minutes, imagine the rest for yourself. Keep up the good work, Greetings from Denmark
This helps so much, looking to spray wood stripper for my fence staining business. Been using an xjet but the breaks between spraying overheat the machine too much
I really love this idea! Gonna need to make a few of these thank mate. How long do these tend to last I am not worried about the pump I mean the mounting?
Very cool! One easy and cheap upgrade I'd add is a wireless relay with a keyfob remote between the battery and pump, or an inline switch on the + lead.
Hey Kyle what’s up great instructional video. Just curious what was you main reason to shut down your store, not the building trailers part but the chems and soaps?
Am in Kenya and yiu have mentored me to start a powerwashing business..You really educate me though your channel...I need to buy a turbo nozzle to use with my 3450 psi machine..how can you help buy from stores in US and send to me.
I read where on the water transfer pump it could burn up if you use anything over 12v, I have milwaukee 18v batteries... should I worry about this destroying the setup?! Thanks and looking forward to building about 4 of these buckets, starting my company now and going to pay for your instruction video!!
This is absolute gold!!! I am just starting and have limited funds like everyone else starting out, Curious if this is more for flat surface or would there be a different gun or tip that would allow me to do a house clean with this setup? I do know I can down stream or xjet for vinyl siding but majority of the house I will be targeting are brick or stucco, and would like this for the hotter mixes need for them!!! TIA!!
Great video, thank you so much. How far can it shoot the solution. I need to spray vinyl siding on my two story house and I just can’t find anything for soft wash that will reach out to the highest point of the outside wall.
Life Hack: When drilling in plastic, drill the center/spotting hole, then attach the hole saw. Put the drill in reverse (CCW) for drilling the larger hole. It's the easy way to avoid cracking any plastic.
I have a question that doesn’t really apply to this video, but I was wondering if you are getting ready to get into the business what kind of setup would you recommend? Your input would be greatly appreciated.
How do you get the water pump to turn off and on? when I hook mine up to battery, it just pumps and pumps. Yours seems to start and stop the pump when you pull the trigger
the pump has a pressure sensor that turns off the pump when you close the valve on the spray wand and the pressure increases to the set point you set with an allen wrench on the pump
Does that solo wand get caked up if your using sealer was just wondering 🤔 and could you attach a copper wand like the ones that come with the sealer steel pumps cans ok 👍
How far does this spray? I need to spray cleaner on big sections of roof/houses from a fixed point sometimes. It helps to have a powerful stream but i hate lugging around a car battery
I've made this and it works a treat, thanks. However, after a while the bucket starts to buckle, because of the vacuum, I'm assuming. Any ideas how to relieve that? Does it need a pressure relief valve, like a compressor?
When washing a a wooden deck or porch, do you use straight water, soap amd water, or a chemical? If I'm you use a chemical, what chemical to use amd ratio? Thanks
Curious why air compressor hose? I’m considering getting into this game and your videos, fire me, are the most informative and without all the fluff BS subbed off the other guys have. Cheers, brother!
Thanks for keeping us informed, much appreciated. Real quick, will that rechargeable battery adequately power a 5 gpm, 60 psi pump? Or will a marine battery be required?
Family ill be falling your channel from here on out frfr.. Other channels talk a lil too much and. Show no hands on work or. They will give you Amazon, and how to get it but. Really don't show why and how too build. Big ups family jah blessed
Just started my pressure washing business, your videos are great! Although, why not use a downstream injector instead of this softwash bucket? also I have a 4gpm 4.2kpsi machine. Do you have any downstream injectors I should use?
Good for Spot spaying degreaser, SH mix on staggered paver paths etc, basically anywhere you want precise application of chemical use the SWB over DSI. Hope this helps.

Solid! I’d bevel cut on cut the hose in the bucket at an angle so it doesn’t sit flush to the bottom and cause a vacuum.

Cut a V notch at the end of the clear hose. It helps not to suck itself to the bottom and not pull Chem
An amazing cheap solution. So much better than a pump sprayer and all for less than $200.00. Thank you so much.
This bucket setup changed my game! Thanks for the vid & info!!

I recently built a setup just like this for paver sealing but put heat shrink over my splices, I think the twist terminals are the way to go.
Absolutely not😂😅

would you happen to have Amazon links for all this stuff?
Lovely! Simple! But I have fallen out with those hose clamps - I found out that the aluminum clamp type (4 screws) never leak, never squeak.
Mannn very simple!!!!!! I'm gonna use this. I can use this build for when I pretreat carpet!! Thanks alot
Some XT60 connectors between the battery & pump make it easy to swap either out & still be nice and clean looking
😊 excellent excellent excellent

The lid that you used on your bucket. I assume you seal the bucket. Is it a press down style or a screw on style. Just wondering how you refill it.
AWESOME VIDEO!!!! GENIUS!!!
I think the only thing you left out is the voltage/amp of the pump and battery...

Is their a shopping list for all the parts in written form?
Anyone know if you can run gutter butter or similar chem through this pump?
