When I got my first car and I was dead broke and 16, my best friend's dad showed me how to change my brakes. We went to the parts store, bought the brakes, went to a local empty parking lot, and he just walked me through the whole thing. 30mins later, we were done and I was shocked that people pay so much to do brakes. Since then, 24+ years later at age 40, I've done almost everything you can do on a car (minus body work), and I truly believe that was the defining moment for me. It flicked a switch in my mind to a lightbulb that has been "on" since.
here is a tip. Instead of using a hammer to loosen the rotor. When you buy your braking shoes and also purchased a couple of. M8x1.25 thought about 1 inch long. In the face of the rotor hub, you will see two threaded holes opposite each other. Thread those bolts and to each hole then using a wrench or socket tighten each one down until it contacts the hub. Then alternating between the two bolts turned in about one turn each alternating back-and-forth. After just a few turns the rotor will pop off. This trick also works on the front brick rotors as well. Almost any make a vehicle will have these two holes in the rotors not sure if the sizes will be the same though for the bolts
My brake pads are low and also when I apply the brakes in speed my steering starts shaking so it means my front rotors are bad so I changed all And please don't forget to subscribe 🙂
It should have hole because this is the Place to adjust the parking brake Some time new rotors don’t have the rubber inserts but they should have that hole if not then I think it’s not a right part
Dude my caliper is not moving at all and it's not rusted.... both bolts have been removed and it refuses to budge. What am i doing wrong?! This is for the rear

What if your new rotors don’t have the rubber boot hole ?
It should have hole because this is the

Some time new rotors don’t have the rubber inserts but they should have that hole if not then I think it’s not a right part
