Nice job. If you wire brush the hub before trying to get the brake disc off it can make it easier to get the disc off. I wouldn’t use anything on a socket wrench to tighten up the carrier bolts because next time you come to undo them will be more difficult...
Warum?
Be careful when you decide to use this or similar tutorial at home. After replacing old brake pads, you must immediately do the air bleed from the brake system. In the newest cars, the air bleed valves are based on the vacuum principle, so you must use a vacuum pump for air bleeding. A vacuum pump with a brake fluid tank and air bleed valve creates a closed circuit, which eliminates the air bubbles in the system.
@@joekidd3901 I don't know why you are watching this video since you have all this experience in the field of mechanics, anyway in these cars you do not have to blow the air from the pipes because we did not remove the caliper or the caliper hose. And for the record, the car is running great so far.
Hola buen video desde España, se le puede echar a los pines la misma pasta de aluminio, ( en mi caso de cobre ), por ni encontrar la grasa especial frenos? Gracias 🫂
Excellent job. It's getting so hard to find a decent mechanic I'm thinking about fixing the brakes on my wife's i30 myself.
I used to pay so much for brakes . Now I do it myself and for friends too . Piece of cake 😃😃😃😃😃.
You did not remove the bungy cord you used to hang the caliper. Excellent video...I love the way you do it
O.K. - i like it . And at the end of the work CHECK LEVEL of the BRAKE FLUID .
Excellent job, the only thing that i would do extra is clean the pieces that are rusty, it is very excessive. Thank you
Do I need to put new disks. My is still fine?
You get that bungee cord you used for the caliper?
is this the same process for the kia K5 ?

Ich möchte nicht, dass ich nach so einem Supermeister ein solches Auto bekomme 😱

I need to change my brake pads soon, can I just take that cover with the hose off, swap the brake pads out and put that cover back on?
@DanMassey-e2q You can go to my page, there is a video tutorial for changing the brake pad only

Use silicone paste on guide pins. Copper grease is based on mineral oil and slowly eats away at the rubber boots, causing them to fail prematurely.

He had the wheel under the car though,
Instead of washing off the rust behind rotor with break cleaner use rotary wire brush and put some anti rust grease.
Ya que desarma las piezas debería de limpiarlas para que se mire mejor el trabajo
Do u repeat on the other side b4 pumping brake pedal and replacing the resivour cap ?
@@christurner-p8l Yes
So you don't pump brakes until both sides have been replaced
@@christurner-p8l exactly
Yes you can

Thank you !
👍👍
Did he bleed brakes or need to?
He didn't open the line, so there was no need to bleed the breaks
What did you spray?
Brake cleaner is my guess.
You should invest in a torque wrench. Good video nonetheless.
Very good
Top.
