Bcs half of the archons were derping on the background waiting for the turn to make 1 attack and die. In a proper fight archons would sneak under voids and smash them. Or at least killed more
It might be fun to see the same fight multiple times but each time you add more to the losing side or remove some from the winning side, and we’d have to guess if that was enough to turn the tide!
4/4 today woo My predictions: - Ultralisks (historically if a unit can survive the siege tank burst to close in melee they have had a good chance to wreck them, and this was cemented once the surround started) - Immortals (I went by the old "never bet against immortals" mantra since I assumed the ghosts would make very short work of the Zealots, so it'd have been up to them to carry - and I had faith they'd outlast the marauder damage) - Void Rays (the whole time I was thinking my bet would be reversed if it were BW Archons) - Zerglings (I was tempted to vote Thors but seeing the numbers I was expecting a nice surround. Good to see I was not disappointed)
@@finrodfel06 yeah but the units don't usually make room for the backlines to get extra hits in especially in situations like that. If the archon splash was more vicious (which is why I was thinking bw) or they had a surround earlier i can see them winning too
A couple of comments spoiled the archon vs void ray result, but my thoughts for the rest of the fights were very similar to yours, save that I didn't even hesitate with the zerglings. I did kind of wanted the Thors to win, though.
I love these videos cause you get to see what it would be like if a actual army of hundreds if not thousands of units would do against another army of the same
Considering resource advantage, the Siege Tanks owned that fight :D Chadmortals winning and Archlosses losing is no surprise. However....I really thought the Thor Marine would take it. I am very impressed at our Zerg bois.

Archon splash damage is so small that the Void Rays probably weren’t close enough. Seems like we would need Archon toilet levels of compactness to see much of a difference

Since HotS, the thor can use two weapons against air units: either high-impact cannons, which deal high damage to massive units at a long range, or javelin missiles, which deal high AOE damage to light units at a moderate range. It take them a bit of time switch between the two configurations, and they're usually used with the missiles against mutalisks and the cannons against broodlords.
I mean, resource wise you could have twice as many tanks there and it'd _still_ be cheaper than the ultra brigade (or by direct strike points, you could buy another 74 tanks to equalise their costs), and they still weren't that far off winning with the huge resource disparity as-is. They also say more stuff counters less stuff, after all
This clrearly shows how degraded archons area dmg is in sc2. If it was anything like in bw, stacked up air units like this would have been slaughtered in no time. Sc2 archons suck.
You know that Immortal's pilots are former Dragoons once you see their logistic problems.
Do 30 Wrathwalkers vs Dehaka.
22 Thors shooting at only 2 mutalisks.... Massive overkill
Spoilers!

Marauders and ghosts go flying
You guessed it, even later today than yesterday! I'm just gonna go ahead and try to make the videos a day in advance.
Hey man, as long as I see a video every day I'm hype!
Do you actually get to make anything off these?
The voids did better vs the archons than I thought they would 🤯
same

Not without micro.
With that pathfinding? Not likely.
Do you happen to know the splash radius on their attacks?
@@tyhy1 it's only 1 unit of distance. But I figured the way they clump it would have been enough.

I thought archon surround + splash would put them over the edge against the voids. Surprised by that one.
All Voids were attacking while like 50% of the Archons weren't. Air units have the advantage in that regard.
0:54 so many marauders bodies are flying 😂
Man, those zerlings taking down the Thors looked scary.
Had a feeling the ultras would just out tank the tanks. But honestly that was surprisingly close.
If friendly fire wasn't helping the ultras, it might have been a win for tanks.

Marines are very good units but a 1-4 ratio against cracklings without stutter step is more doomed than the Dominion in HOTS.
150 archons could delete 2000 void rays with basic micro, forget derping around in front of 200.

how about planetary fortress on the frontline and some tank
Not fair... the voidrays were magic boxing somehow
Let a bettlecruiser die behind the tanks in the first fight and you basicly have the hots cinematic

OK, the thor's anti-air attack is confusing, in some videos it uses missiles, and in other videos it uses the cannons on its back.
Got 2 modes, One with splash (missile) and the other with higher damage (cannon)

now do 150 siege tanks but have them spread out that they dont friendly fire each other.
Good news is that this cast is on a round clock.
Bad news is that the clock is one hour later than usual.
Also, never bet against immortals.
