This channel exists to document unit counters within StarCraft 2. Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen from Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a coop commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units will independently use their abilities, in a basic way. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 esports controlled by the likes of Serral, Maru, and ByuN. The resource beneath vespene is the unit's cost in the mod I run on the SC2 arcade, Direct Strike. Enjoy!
I don't like calling them heckbats either, but I don't make the algorithmic rules!

H... Heckbats got screwed by them self-splitting but let's be honest, they never win anyway.
ontop of that they have Light Tag aswell so really they never stood a chance against the Armored Igniters

That first fight was the greatest exemple of defeat in detail I've seen in a while!
I've seen almost all of these and I'm still thinking "What is that thing? What does it do?" or more likely "WHY DOES THIS THING HAVE A RAPID FIRE AOE THAT EVAPORATES EVERYTHING WHILE MAKING BANELINGS SEEMINGLY EVERY ATTACK?".
SC2 is a wild ride.
Abberations spawn two banelings on death for Zagara.
@@Skullhawk13 not just any banelings, it is droblings, much scarier
They spawn 2 splitterlings on death, which are banelings that spawn 2 mini banelings on death.
Also zagara banelings are not the bad multiplayer banelings, they deal 40 damage in aoe, and specifically have an upgrade that increases that to 80 vs primary target.
Phasing armor really just invalidates shadow cannon, huh.
Always had in DS its hilarious when a Karax player doesnt micro them
Vanguards are just too powerful a unit
Anything that can interrupt a channeled ability does.
Mind you those cannons are hella strong. Even something like a Blaze Shield won't stop them, as it is several smaller damage events for a snipe level total amount.
Just interruptions are the one thing they can't deal with.
Some day you gotta give Stetmann's zerg access to his "creep (and maybe some of the Egonergy upgrades). I'd love to see how they perform when they're at full power.
Fight 1: those fire roaches are so tanky…
Fight 2: baneling OP.
Fight 3: those shadow cannons just don’t do much with slayer’s phase armor. Lots of wasted burst damage.
Fight 4: who would’ve thought. A 90 HP zergling is very good.
Aberrations are strong as hell o.O The Hellbats should have won but the AI messed up. Oh well
You see the concave igniters has at 0:18, while hellbats didnt have a concave. This is when i knew ignites will eventually win.
Man that armored trait really carried them igniters through stuns and far superior stats
6 armor and 50 damage attacks are pretty potent!

Gotta remember how much damage and distraction comes from the splitters
Worried for a bit when the vanguards got exposed by the slayers blinking backwards so much
Hardened shields not very good against fast hitters and deprives their attack speed more rapidly
That last zergling almost survived 🥲

I'd really like to see more of the mirror matches like that steman vs primal zerg off. It is really interesting to see how the different variants compare in a one to one comparison. I could see the primal win because the steman upgrades for the zergling focus on anti-big hit with hardened shields and his hydras are specialized to be anti-air focused while the primals are just better all around but I'd love to see something like an ultralisk or corruptor off, or heck an infestor free for all would be really fun

Aberration is probably the most OP unit ever exists! They are even cheap and strong, and also spawns banelings!
Even their Baneling spawns tiny Banelings.
The heckbats could've won, but then they decided they didn't want to. Ah well.

Those Ultras got slapped hard. The heckbat fight is one where smaller numbers work in your favour, the aoe balances out being outnumbered.
Igniters are armored, simple as.
This is the best channel ever, i legit watched every episode xD
Poor Dehaka Ultras. Their small size made them that bit more vulnerable to bane splash, deciding their fate against aberrations.
Those Hellbats took "Hoplite" too literally!
200 primal zerglings is way too much to put against 200 mechalings without a Stettfield. Primal zerglings have nearly double the health of regular zerglings by themselves.
Igniters, like Firebats, are armored and anti-light. Even with Nova’s Hellbats jump ability, they are light. No contest who wins

@@MsUndertaker99 that’s what I mean. Armored igniters take reduced damage from anti-light specific Hellbats, who themselves are weak to the Igniters’ anti-light attacks

@@MsUndertaker99 tbh, any kind of hellbats < firebats/igniters/Blaze. Besides their absurdly small health pool for a unit their cost, they barely hold up against most anything. Zealots, which they’re supposed to be a counter for, are at least 50% more tanky than them, and hit insanely hard.
I suggest campaign Aberrations vs. Zagara's Aberrations. The latter are so OP.
Idea: How many X units does it take to protect a building from Y (or however you wanna put it, basically can Dehaka protect a hive from an army of zerglings for example)

3/4 I should stop doubting Zagara's abberations. They slap, they die, they release splitbanes which end the battle.

Primal Zerglings are a full supply. Mecha was at a massive resource and supply disadvantage.

Why Sentinels were paired with Annihilators though? Two different sub-factions and it's not like there isome kind of iconic synergy between them.
Also, it was painful to watch how Stalkers blocked Vanguards - it's interesting how the same combination can work in adventage of one unit's variant (Annihilators) and against other (Vanguards)
Karax's immortals are annihilators, and he has Sentinels, since purifiers don't have a special immortal archetype
Tbh it would've been more interesting if there were purifier collosi on the other side to match the vanguards. Then I might've voted differently
@@jeffreychen8443 Actually, Karax's Immortals supposed to be combination of regular Immortals and Annihilators, as they have both Barrier and Shadow Cannon.
0/4... I even guessed the aberrations vs Dehakas ultras but changed my answer part way in. Fml. Haven't played sc2 in a while so I'm going to reinstall it then un-install it as recompense for my insolence.

The first wave was unfair, come on man, at hte en more then the half of the novas helbet was separaited and the Ignter was together. novas helbet could have win easily
