Those high templar storms are so laggy but to the point it was cool to see all those roach blood splats before the might of the high templar's storm! Lol
Damnnn, those Ravagers must have always hated those Ultralisks. Their tough armor and high HP, and those stupid splash damage Kaiser Blades. So they worked together with the Thors and Marauders to kill them off. Too bad the Ravagers didn't know that the Thors and Marauders hated them, too. 🤔
The Queen's transfuse isn't really the most useful thing with Hydra's is it? They're not bulky enough to get good value out of it, and aren't liberators pretty much going to one-shot them anyway?
4/4 Cyclone's rework of lock on actually really really helps them against zealots. Doing an extra 50% more damage really runs through them. I didn't realize at the time, but they also synergize super well with reaper grenades since it delays the fight until lock on, and they can keep firing while their enemy is knocked back. I expected thors to win. I didn't expect it like this though That's a lot of High Templar. Sometimes there are some units which use up their abilities then die, but 250 High Templar was enough to be supremely confident in the water balloons. Libs are really good.
2/4 today lol My predictions: - Reapers (As soon as I saw them appear I knew what was going to happen to that Protoss frontline. The leftover would've destroyed the remaining Stalkers) - Thors (I bet on them specifically once I saw them appear, otherwise I was going to bet for Zerg. Did get concerned that they wouldn't outlast the Ravager burst though) - Roaches (I've seen this before - the AI doesn't know how to stagger the storms, instead opting to stack multiples of them on top of each other, so I put my money on the Roaches outlasting - didn't realize the pathing would've gotten them killed anyway) - Queens (as odd as it seems I thought of putting extra weight on the queens to carry the situation here)
In one of the earlier versions of direct strike I used to love playing as Zerg because I could make the Reapers launch my baneling towards them instead of away
Watching the Ravagers gleefully Bile the Ultralisks - and thereby cost themselves the fight - was hilarious. And man, TH-cam did like trying to process that many Storms at once in the High Templar battle.
3/4 cyclones combo done right, didn't expect that marauder is tough as barrier for ultras, thors just adding splash damage this fight is a beauty, big numbers HT enough to cast storm against roaches liberator combo done right, everything went smooth
I wonder how that would have looked with the ravagers in front of the ultralisks, or the ultras split in 2 distinct groups with the ravagers between them.
I feel bad for ultras because they totally would have won if Ravagers didn't bile them. True bronze league hero moment where you're better off just A moving instead of touching abilities
Okay, when I first saw zealots and stalkers going up against two of terrans most micro intensive units I thought, this is just dumb. Its going to be a slaughter. Then the grenades started flying...
Gateway units are just....bad. Those Ravagers sure wrecked the Ultras really really hard XD. This is why nobody combines melee units with siege units that have friendly fire from splash in their games. The Templar did well with their water balloons. The Liberators screwed me though....I thought the Zerg would take that one :/ 3/4 for me :)
Zealots in battles like this are always terrible. They're basically the worst unit in the game in large head-to-head engagements. They're only really used in MP so much because they're the only unit Protoss has that doesn't cost gas, and they're reasonably tanky with the light tag, so make a decent buffer for the important tech units.
@@Matt-ln7lb yup. It’s not exactly a mystery why co-op zealots are universally replaced with superior units. ((Except legionaries and Supplicants which aren’t the same thing yet still generally better anyway))
@@Matt-ln7lb Well, zealots are also fine for their cost as long as you don't build so many of them that they prevent other zealots from attacking (and have charge - zealots are complete garbage without charge). They also tend to get worse in a "maxed out" army just because they only cost 50 resources per supply so a maxed out army using zealots will have less resources invested into it than other units.
@@Skullhawk13 Co-op is really a lot different than the ladder - melee units kind of suck in co-op/campaign because even trading 2:1 is an awful trade - in co-op you're expected to beat enemy armies with overwhelming efficiency that you'd never see against actual players, and short range units are just really bad at doing that (unless you can spawn them without spending any resources of course).
@@asdfqwerty9241I mean a lot of the upgraded melee units are good. In the case of zealots Auir zealots are more than mere meat shields like the rest. But I get what you mean.
In these sorts of large engagements, they're probably the worst unit in the game. In real MP, they're the only unit protoss has that doesn't cost gas, and they're fairly mobile and can potentially overwhelm the opponent with a surround, and are decent when numbers are fairly small and/or micro is poor + they're a decent buffer for the expensive tech units that protoss relies on.
Damn, the Ultras never stood a chance against the Marauders, Thors and Ravagers.

_"You got it boss! I'll aim where you're gonna be!"_
Damn that Roach lightning massacre was a thing of beauty!
Yeah that's right! The thumbnail held up to its promise (:
That one reaper that survived that first fight will soon be hired by some guy in a Marine suit with a chaingun. Some say his name is Sam.
3/4. Didn't expect ravagers to end up hitting the ultralisks.
Yeah same with me! Seems like damage output of the ultras worked against them this time.
Well you can say that they accidentally *bonk* them
Yeah I was laughing at that too, they biled their own guys! LOL
Thors are just broken anti ground units
@@FantasyFantasy934 ok keep whining about a unit being broken

I think you need to clarify which side ravagers will be attacking before the battle.
We all need Cyclones Vs diamond backs just because of that one line
we've had it, diamondbacks crushed them easily

That Ravager friendly fire hurt to watch... XD
A reaper survived a Tya video?! 2023 might just BE the year!
Well, Grant did do that reapers-only thing, right? So maybe it really is happening...
I liked the moment when Liberator said "it's liberatin' time" and liberated all over.
Yeah! I am about to say that as well, good thing I found your comment.
It's freedom time
Thor's somehow always seem to lose at first but then either win or bring it back a LOT in these vids

Thors, marauders and ravagers vs ultralisk 😂😂😂😂
who loses in 1000 roaches vs 250 Templar? the computer

you could smell the gpu melting with the templar vs roaches 😂

wow that was a stomp for the terrans and protoss..
Yeah, seems like the Terrans and Protoss won this round.

I think it goes without saying that you should find a way to re-do the thor-marauder vs ultralisk-ravager one

I mainly WANTED the Thors and Marauders to win, so I voted for them. And then the Ravagers helped out. 😁
If stalker is standing on first line, fight first and blink to back of zealots, i wonder they can fight more stronger.
1:32 that fight got me with 0/3 fps 💀
How many ultralisk was killed by the revengers?
Oof what a massacre.... the templars dominated that
Has the curse of the Hellbats been lifted? Could it be??
