😢 my mom did this. She passed 6 years ago….. we are still traumatized. I could cry now.
please do the childfree
@@GiselaLVawdreyhell, yeah! Put me in that episode!
PLEASE MAKE IT FREE😭😭😭
I would love a ‘people with invisible illnesses/diabilities vs those with visible ones.’!
i have so many invisible illnessess no one would know im not okay
Im physically never ok
Was thinking about suggesting something like this but wasn't sure how to phrase it. I totally agree!
Ooooo as much as I'd hate it, it would be neat to find someone with a visible illness who believes that mental illness doesn't exist O:
Yes 100%
As someone with Crohn's that'd be an interesting one to see and watch
I like that this episode was more "people going through something" vs "people who already lived through it". I think we should explore this setup a bit more. I like seeing opposing views, but I also like bringing people together just to talk about their experiences with it. More of both, please.
Yeah I totally agree. This episode reminded me a little bit of a previous Middle Ground episode they did a couple months ago titled “Closeted Queer vs. Openly Queer”. That was another great example of how you described it as “people going through something” vs “people who already lived through it” kind of episode.
1. Can you do homeschool kids vs. public school kids
2. Public school children vs. private school kids
yesss I would love this episode!!
Why not all three??? At the same time! 😄🤣
Please!
YESSSS I would love to be part of this panel
This is a great idea yess 🙌🏾👏🏾
AYYY THE LEG GUY 😭😭😭
I was just about to say! It’s @alex1leg I think
I loooovee himmmm
He literally the nicest person check him out
He’s why I clicked
@@potatonuggets4846 I know him and love his videos
Oh my gosh! Is that Petal Palmer? I ran cross country with her a few years back at SMT. She was a superstar, she was one of the best athletes and people coming out of the Malvern community in a long time. It was so amazing seeing her sharing her story and perspective of strength and perseverance through her diagnosis. Petal is such an inspiration! I love you Petal ❤
Ah this is so sweet! I really appreciate that, and I hope you’re doing well! ❤️
I was randomly recommended this video, never got a recommended from this channel before, and I saw her in the thumbnail and said "wait, I'm subbed to her here on YT!" She does great videos about medical true crime.
I liked her and I love the name “Petal.”
I said the same thing! I love her channel.
I came here to watch this Jubilee episode because Petal just mentioned it in her most recent personal health update video. So, of course, had to come hear what she and others shared. ❤️
Lady in the orange shirt.. what a bright soul 💓 i love her smile and her outlook on things
Yeah. I like how she saw chemo as healing.
Yay!!! That’s me! Thank you so much - this was one powerful group of thrivers! 🎉
I agree. Such a light. ❤
She reminds me of Chloe from Fight Club, not saying that in a horrible way.
@@BethanyWebbYoga the way you spoke made my eyes water. i would love to hear you speak more, the way you see the world is beautiful and brings me peace
This is definitely not recommended for hypochondriacs
No literally. Obviously people should advocate for themselves but the thinking of “you always know what’s wrong with your body” is so not true
Thank you for talking about topics that are hard to discuss. The world needs more of this.
Petal graduated with a 4.0 i just saw her ig page. So proud! Congratulations 🎊 also hearing about the dismissive doctors was so sad. But they are all so inspirational their hope, gratitude, and positive out look is so inspiring.
Aw thank you! I appreciate that ❤
@@PetalPalmer Thank you so much for sharing your story. I wish you all the best in life 💓💓🙏🏼
I didn't want to do chemo, but i just finished my 6th cycle last week! Chemo was not as rough as i believed it to be thankfully due to all the research advancements. The surgeries were more difficult.
Sending love and strength, I'm proud of you for going through with it, even tho you didn't want to 🍀💗
Congratulations on your success. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
Radiation was worse for me than Chemo and chemo suuuucked.
hope you’re well ❤
❤
My dad was just dx with stage three. I appreciate this. Hearing their chemotherapy experiences put me at ease. I hate that anyone goes through this. *hugs all around* xx
i wish him the best xx
I hope he recovers sending hope!!!
Hope everything turns out for the best 🙏
This has to be one of the deepest episodes that Jubilee has ever seen.
Pro Euthanasia vs Anti Euthanasia
That would be a great topic. I myself am 50/50 on my views with it.
this
Would be especially interesting to have people who would fit the criteria for euthanasia on both sides. I feel like a lot of the arguments about it are healthy people speaking over the ones it actually applies to.
@@Mel-ul8srthere are also healthy people that can make that decision for the euthanasia of relatives with Alzheimers.
Not to recently we had a school debate on this. both sides have such strong arguments!
Amazing to see Petal Palmer here! One of my favorite new youtubers. Her story is so inspiring❤️
Glad to see you here ❤
@@PetalPalmerhi Petal ily and your channel so so much
@@PetalPalmeralso I loveeee ur jacket it’s so cool
My mom passed in October from Esophageal Cancer...i love you and miss you, Mom
I am so so sorry for you loss 😢
💔 hope you're doing ok
Sorry for your loss ❤❤
Same. My uncle passed in November, he was 52. Horrible to watch him endure what he did. *hugs*
im so incredibly sorry, i’m sending u all my love.
Alex: I just had constant pain in my knee for months. Me having constant pain in my legs for months now: 😰
I’m not a doctor, but usually, with an osteosarcoma, there’s a growing and very large lump, as well as pain. Don’t be terrified - just get checked ASAP. Sarcomas are rare and it may well be something benign. And if it is a sarcoma, see a sarcoma specialist.
EDIT: @baemaxxed5389 said below that they were dx with osteosarcoma without there being a lump. I stand corrected.
@@Ceerads I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma last year. There was no lump, just pain in my ankle. So every case is different!
@@baemaxxed5389 Thank you! I’ll edit my comment. Wishing you all the best.
I’ve had knee pain for 10+ years now 😭 and i just recently had my first MRI but everything is clear 🎉 i never thought knee pain could lead to that but i guess ya never know
As a survivor (27y/o) this video made me feel less alone about my journey and what my treatment destroyed in my body and how important mindset is in viewing our treatment and how we heal.
I would love to see a middle ground discussion about people who have chronic pain
me 2
I would too. I would love to be considered for being a part of the panel.
My grandfather died of pneumonia after beating 2 cancers and I could tell he was more worried about us than he was about himself. He was a strong person just like them thank you for showing me a glimpse into what my grandfather was going through mentally. ❤
seeing petal here is such a surprise! i love her videos
Same here
I appreciate you! ❤
@@stephaniepantalonie❤️
As someone with Crohn's, an crohnic illness, it was definitely interesting seeing the similarities in mindset and experiences. Especially the "life before vs after diagnosis" where you gain a very different perspective on your life and how you spend your energy
I would love to see Type 1 Diabetes vs Type 2 Diabetes
Yes! In this kind of format❤
I have an idea for a Middle Ground. Social Workers vs either Foster Carers or Foster Kids
As a former foster kid: please do foster parents vs foster children. OR adopted children vs foster children.
Social workers have actually played only a minimal part in my upbringing.
FFY vs foster parents
we r owed that
This video is a blessing. Knowing you aren’t alone can sometimes be the only thing helping push through. Wishing all health and strength 💕
This video was incredibly insightful. Everyone was just so well spoken. You can tell these people have been shaped by their experiences and I appreciated each and every one. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤
as a hypochondriac, im so here for it lol
same every headache im like do i have a tumor?
Im a hypochondriacn and im problaby gonna panic after watching this lol
@@Fizzy332Lol we can panic together
@@Fizzy332 Me too
I'm watching this with full anxiety😭 I'm curious but also scared
I had the biggest smile on my face when i saw alex on the thumbnail
Hopefully this helps the patients have more hope in their future
the last question made my jaw drop, i never thought there was as big of a positive side as there apparently is. so insightful!
I work in an infusions center and I get the opportunity to work with and take care of patients receiving chemotherapy. I’m honored to be able to see their journeys.
I still remember my radiation therapy nurses… ❤ from 2008.
So much respect for these individuals. Thank you for sharing your incredible stories.
Fantastic video, the prompts, the guests, and the wonderful conversation on such a serious topic. Thank you to the moderator for handling this discussion with such care.
wow GREAT video!! i watched it ALL the way thru already, full HOUR even tho it was uploaded 18 min ago !!!
Finally a jubilee video worth watching!!! Way to improve guys
A very hopeful episode, thank you
did not expect petal palmer to be in this video but very happy that she is!! love her youtube channel
Ah thank you! ❤
sweetest middle ground episode
Lowkey didnt know these 2 groups had beef
They do?
They don't have beef that's why it's a bit weird to have a middle ground episode on them
its not "beef" its disagreements and different experiences. the middle ground would be where both sides experienced the same thing or relate to the same thing. middle ground isnt always abt beef its usually just two different sides finding out where they relate
Chill it’s a joke
There’s no need to have beef in order to discuss a topic. They are on 2 sides that’s it
Amazing discussion! Thank you for the video
I never thought I'd see Alex and Petal in the same room! Both of them make great content!!
Alright this is a pleasant surprise, what a topic
I’ve been watching middle ground for years and never expected to relate to this episode the most, because I’m watching this while getting my first chemo 😌 I really understood all the participants especially in the last 5 minutes of the video 💕 thank you all for sharing your stories
As someone who has been diagnosed few days ago, thank you for the last question - it felt amazing to have some words of advice and encouragement from them, every word went straight to my heart ❤
Thank you for an hour and 15 min of this... Really eye opening
You guys should do people with Chronic Illness and Health gurus
as someone who works with oncology patients, this was so incredible. thank you guys for posting this.
My friend were growing their careers I was growing tumors!!😢..that's painful...eeey
I wish your podcast Radical Empathy was on TH-cam! Even if there isn't any video aspect.
This is what I want to see on this channel❤️
I know chances are you guys don’t see this but you should do past drug addicts get honest with their parents and vise versa. Im a past addict myself and just from my own experience even after reform and rehab there is always a dark shadow behind your life from that day forward.
Love you Michelle!!! So excited to see you in this video!!!!
I would like to be on this. I had stage 4 glioblastoma & been on remission for 3 years
❤ I’m glad you’re still here
@@eusaboston thank you ❤️
I hope you healthy years ahead!
These conversations were very enlightening and positive.
I like this format. This should be a new series format.
current experience vs past experience

This was such a wonderful episode. Thank you so much for sharing your stories
Bro this is going to sky rocket my health anxiety, lesssGOOOOO

Terry Fox would be SO SO SO proud!❤🙏
This is an amazing video
Ex religious vs ex atheist
Why is the prompt "I pushed my parents away" cut off from the video? I really wanted to hear what happened?
Incentive for their Patreon.
I would love to see a systems (someone with DID or OSDD-1, previously known as Multiple Personality Disorder) vs singlets (non-systems) episode.
I think it could be helpful to destigmatize DID and OSDD-1, and also just make information more available.
I have DID, and a lot of people really don't understand what it actually is.
I would like to know more about it! Hope they'll make it
I clicked so fast when I saw Petal. I love hearing everything that incredibly intelligent girl says ❤
My hardest thing that i struggle with is i have so many chronic pains and issues i can never stop worrying that what if its now something else. But my doctors just say its the same issue just worse at the moment in time. I worry so much that one day it will be something more and I'll still be ignored.
Maybe you can try with multiple doctors, because someone will take it serious.
I am the same and I don’t want to keep going to doctors about it if it’s actually fine and I escalating out of anxiety or something
this was a hard watch but very worth it
Please please please do one on ulcarative colitis and chrons disease. I feel so alone and it needs to be talked about more 💔
love the 5 ads a minute
Lmao
Thank you everyone for sharing!!🙏🙏
the lady in the orange shirt has such an incredible attitude
You guys should do tenants vs. landlords!
Pro therapy vs anti therapy
It’d just be men vs women like a lot of middle grounds
@@danka1167 and you know that as a fact do you? 🫢 funny because men are usually the creators of various therapeutic schools of thought…. I’ve also met plenty on both sides who love or hate it. It’s as simple as finding them, not a gender thing at all buddy :)
@@mojojojo9128men still tend to not go to therapy or be against it tho so…?
@@funkunko that’s incorrect. Perhaps an image created and served to you as real. Many male therapists and many men in therapy. :)
Tom Cruise vs the rest

We love you petal palmer ❤
petal is one of my fav youtuber ❤
Aw I appreciate you ❤️
Can you try to make a video about health problems that people came through but invite only doctors to know if they would agree all for one or theyll have some disagreements
I wish you all health and healing
Thank you💖
I did not know these two groups had different enough opinions to be a middle ground episode
Can you please make a Middle Ground episode between Afrocentrists and modern day Egyptians debating/arguing about Ancient Egypt? As an Egyptian, I would love an episode like this.
I love these discussions. If you all ever do one with adhd folks let me know
I took chemo for my auto immune disease I've been off it but I'm going back on due to flares
After hearing all the stories of how doctors ignored multiple times doctors in the us need to have some type of yearly evaluation of their knowledge, and see if their doctorate license should be revoked because their ignorance can cost many people’s lives
OMG PETAL PALMER!!! She’s one of my favorite TH-camrs ever. I love how she advocates for other people while going through so much herself.
I love this idea
Petal! Wow, and Khadija recently too. Is Jubilee peeping my subscriptions 😂 Edit: shouldn't have watched this whilst waiting for a Drs appointment about eerily similar symptoms with one of the ladies... fml
omg micheal i follow him on tiktok he’s the sweetest
So brave to tell them stories.
@Jubilee Can you do a video on Catholicism vs Protestant?
35:58 THIS. I’m from the school if I feel something or something in my body feels off, I go immediately to the doctor. Yearly checkups, blood scans, etc. I’m thankful I’m this way. Thanks to all of the guests for sharing their stories. 1:02:29 😭😭😭🥹🥹🥹 thank you for reminding me to be more in love with life and more grateful ♥️
