I don't agree that women are more emotional than men. We just choose to express a wider range of emotions. When men get upset they usually default to anger because they feel like they aren't allowed to express anything else but anger is still an emotion.
Biologically and primitively, men are built to hunt for food and provide shelter while woman are back home to do chores and raise children. During those hard times, if you as the hunter of the family, if you cry and wail like a baby, it makes you look weak and useless because people back home are depending on you for resources. So that's one part of the social patriarchy. To be honest, now with many people can just work for 1 hour and buy food, social construct is being challenged and we are now seeing both genders becoming more equal socially, culturally, financially speaking.

I actually really appreciate when Jubilee editors keep the moments when the producers/directors try to keep the conversation on track. It's really easy to just edit these moments out in post-production. But I think seeing reactions of the participants is really telling. But biological differences aren't so significant that it justifies depriving women of many opportunities, jobs and positions. Using an average (such as women being more nurturing) to suggest locking all women into nurturing roles is illogical because an average doesn't represent all people in a group. There will be a ton of men who are more nurturing than women and a ton of women who are self-focused, independent and career orientated. There have been many female president/prime ministers in the world that have done better than men for example.

I don't agree that women are more emotional than men. We just choose to express a wider range of emotions. When men get upset they usually default to anger because they feel like they aren't allowed to express anything else but anger is still an emotion.
Biologically and primitively, men are built to hunt for food and provide shelter while woman are back home to do chores and raise children. During those hard times, if you as the hunter of the family, if you cry and wail like a baby, it makes you look weak and useless because people back home are depending on you for resources. So that's one part of the social patriarchy. To be honest, now with many people can just work for 1 hour and buy food, social construct is being challenged and we are now seeing both genders becoming more equal socially, culturally, financially speaking.

To be clear, I'm not saying YOU SHOULD, if you can't afford it, I'm saying they do it anyways. I think it's easy for her to state things like that because she probably never had to face a similar problem for herself, but I also think believing everything should be in perfect alignment before having a baby is unprobable. I just wanna say that Amala was definitely an amazing person to represent her beliefs here bc it's obvious how calm and balanced she is. I don't agree with some of her opinions but I definitely respect her and admire her way to say things. I hope all human being would be like this. But biological differences aren't so significant that it justifies depriving women of many opportunities, jobs and positions. Using an average (such as women being more nurturing) to suggest locking all women into nurturing roles is illogical because an average doesn't represent all people in a group. There will be a ton of men who are more nurturing than women and a ton of women who are self-focused, independent and career orientated. There have been many female president/prime ministers in the world that have done better than men for example.

I found Amala to be the most respectable on the women’s panel-Jenelle was insufferable; she horribly communicates (only listening to talk not listening to listen), and really wanted to talk about transgenderism apparently (??). But at least John seemed like such a sweet & patient guy!! There were definitely redeeming members in this conversation & I appreciate the director cutting off the animosity-charged tangents! :)
