Just as a tip, those donut "blocks" are actually platforms, and not blocks. So in case you try this challenge with other Mario games, take this into consideration.

Idea: beat this game without touching a semisolid. Its fine if you go through them just dont land on them.

the kamek and bj fights should've counted as touching blocks tbh, even after the cutscene you're still standing on blocks before flying up
I think it's fine. If he hasn't moved since the cutscene, I think it's fair game.
Usually what he does for "no touching X" challenges is if he starts on something or is put there in a cutscene, it's okay as long as he immediately moves off of it once he regains control. He didn't mention it in this video though

The donuts don't really count since they are considered falling semi solids but just have block in the name because they are usually associated with being near blocks
