While a lot of people don't like the aesthetic and simplicity of NSMB, the fact that so many of these challenges exist shows that at the end of the day they are still VERY well designed games.
I think this is one of the best Mario games

yeah i played nsmb wii and 3ds and i think theyre both fantastic, im guessing the criticism of the aesthetic isnt that it’s bad but that they just keep using the same one. I like the aesthetic a lot but would like a new one for the next game to keep it fresh
The Wii and DS ones are definitely well liked, I’d say most people agree that those are some of the better 2D Mario games

7:10 Fun fact, using a star while on the world map should kill the fish and other map obstacles immediately, allowing you to skip that level entirely. However, that doesn’t matter since the fish pieces out anyways

Hey Nico, a little tip for next time: Beating an enemy on the world map is actually a lot easier than you might think: if you have a Star in your inventory, you can plow right through them to get to the next level no problem. It's quick, easy, and the only thing it requires is a Star from a Toad House!
I really like the yellow line for the ad, haha. I swear I've seen this challenge before, but maybe it was just the No Right Press one. This was really good.

Just recently started watching your channel becuase I got back into the WII, and boy I was waiting for this.
The only time he had to move left was in World 3. But even then he could have avoided World 3 so he's good
I was wondering the same thing and I think he had to do it to get to 6-6 also, but 6-5 has a secret exit that skips that level
@@electr0_drag0n98 no one really knows this but back before these challenges happened I actually tried some of them myself on my games like the Luigis Mansion Dark Moon. I wish I could do it on TH-cam but I don't have the power to edit anything

For the Big Bertha at the start of world 4, grab a Super Star from one of the toad houses and use it there and you won’t have to fight it.

With the porcupuffer ambush in world 4's map and the piranha plant in world 5, you could've just gotten a star from one of the star toad houses, equipped it and that would've killed them on the map

1. There are cannons do 1-5-6-7-8 World order
2. in World 3 you need left presses on the World map Same as your World 8 route just use the snake level

With the spiky fish fight, you could have just went to the world one star house and used a star to instawin the fight.
The fish at ~7:10 has a 1/6 chance of letting you pass, be needs to be in the middle entering the world (1/3) then from there it’s coin flip if he lets you pass

How about beating any Mario game without moving with a d-pad/joystick? A 3d game could work because most have a roll/long jump but you still have to rotate in each direction.
