- I break down the cost of owning a McLaren 720S for 18 Months. I also go over my opinion of the car and the a brief breakdown on how I am able to afford to spend this on a car.

It looks like it’s going to be a nice step up from the 720
1st annual service ran me 1400, just did my 2nd annual, it was 3500, next year if I have it, it will be back to around 1500. Nice video!
I've been renting for a long time and think I am very close to buying my first exotic. The 720s it at the top of my list for the reasons you mentioned. Also considering the Huracan EVO. Great video man!

I can relate, though, I don't plan on selling my McLaren. ( I don't drive a 720, just an "entry level" sports series.) My Bentley Continental GT is a car I can drive more often and generally do. But it makes going out in my 570GT more of an event. I need to look at Aston again, especially since they now have beastly and reliable AMG running gear. Great vid. Just now discovered your channel. Awesome it’s an absolutely amazing car. Great choice for a dream car. Put pictures of them around to remind yourself why you are working and saving to help stop those impulse purchases.

wow... i recall back in 2019, these things were down to like $180/190k on the 2nd hand market, while still quite knew. I guess the post covid bubble really pushed these back up. Nearly $300k including finance is a lot more than expected. 720s is a hypercar killer in terms of performance, but if you're not into tracking and drag racing, nobody needs that kind of performance for the road. In fact, less powerful cars are more fun, cuz you can actually step on it, and play with the car. I think the Vantage is a beautiful sports car.
McLarens are the toughest cars for me to figure out why they go up and down in price it doesn’t make sense to me. The vantage for the price is amazing.

Hi great video very useful video Thank you even though I'm looking to get a 570s here in the UK they go for 90k... one from Mclaren dealer with warranty.. do you know if the Mclaren warranty covers everything? I'm just thinking if I can afford it on a 70k salary.. i dont have a lot of expenses i keep most of my money I'm really passionate about cars.. i dont mind spending most of my money on the car😂
Mine didn’t cover the annual service but did cover all of the little issues. I had a door strut replaced, a seal due to a small leak, a tiny paint issue was fixed, a few others like that. Basically stuff that wasn’t regular wear and tear was covered.

I have a 765 now and it’s not bad. A little stiffer of a ride but overall still comfortable.
Hi ! I’m considering between a 2020 720s and a Huracan Evo?
In all honesty, which car would you recommend? I’ve seen a 2015 huracan doing over 80k miles but not on a 720s yet.
For me it would have to be the 720. I don’t fit in the Evo. That aside I think it boils down to which one do you like more and how long do you plan to keep it? Long term I would say the Evo, short term probably the 720.

I’m now in my 5th lambo and I’ve had my ad personam evo spyder since new in 20… the carbon sport seats are the game changer for anyone tall , I’m 6’3 and a big guy and make it work no problem with top down and can even drive it top up slouched a bit if need be… it’s not ideal for long trips but doable
The experience of the v10, sound reliability is amazing for lambo… the sound is bonkers with the top down, intake whistling and sucking in air, throttle bodies banging in corsa on uoshifts… it’s so satisfying
Nowhere near the performance of 720 but the trade off is sound, reliability and rawness the 720 doesn’t have
I keep forcing myself to find the right 720 to add in south Florida also, and on my third now test drive of 3 separate cars latest being a certified 20 720 I had a suspension fault for the second time, lift wouldn’t go down either and a crack in gorilla glass they overlooked lol …. I’ve had an mo4 and 650 I loved but also riddled with electrical issues, never mechanical however ! Guess I love punishment 😂

I have considered them. I have been told I would fit. I will give them longer before I consider one seriously though I feel like the price needs to come down more.

I got out of it for what I owed which wasn’t horrible but Definitely wasn’t my best car purchase.

Yeah. When interest rates were low and they ask me how much I want to put down I always said as little as possible. Now when they are high I don’t do that if I plan on keeping it for longer than a year.
You must have a great $ returm strategy to finance 300k... 😮
This one isn’t doing great right now as far as money retuning back to me. Luckily it’s really fun to drive so I am at least enjoying it until the market calms down. As far as the loan I have financed and paid off a lot or car loans to build my history up.
I'm guessing you must be a multi millionaire, if you could actually afford one of these beauty's.
I think that depends on how you measure wealth. I have good credit so that helps.
How much you need to get one of these I’m on 150k a year not to sure bout getting one here they had lots of problems?

@tawerarolston-uo2hq if you have a good credit history you can get one now. When I was looking for mine I had. Dealer look them up by vin and tell me the amount of time it spent in service that helped and most issues come from low batteries and not letting the car get to temperature before being crazy with the RPM’s, at least in my experience. I always plug my car in at night with a battery tender and when I start it I turn the ignition on first and let all the electronics power up then put my foot on the brake and start the car. I haven’t had any major issues with it doing this.

Not according to a lot of the owners I know. I think it’s usually the people who on them and don’t drive them consistently that have more problems. I drive mine a lot so I think that helps mine not have the issues as much as some other people. Maybe your group of friends that own these cars have better luck than mine have.

I traded it in and now I have a 765LT. The market leveled out in the 720 and I ended up doing ok.
