    Unless your going to garage it for value purchase...if you want fun per dollar test...Go for A Zo6 or a CT5 Blackwing...Cost WAY WAY less than a supercar...but for supercar performance, engagement, sound...pinnacle of ICE cars. This is true for the USA, considering repair costs....remember...Fun per dollar! :)

    • @cjb8993
      @cjb8993 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      While I agree there's value in the ZO6 for example, the American muscle just doesn't move the soul, and in most respects, isn't limited in production and frankly it's shoddy build quality at best. Ferrari on the other hand, you're getting limited production, which is everything when it comes to preserving value, and their are few Ferraris that don't just make everyone drool, they're pieces of art work. Yes, expensive to maintain/repair but you shouldn't be shopping the space unless you can afford to set fire to that money.

    For approx 210K +/- 30K, What is your opinion on either a Ferrari 296 GTB or a Huracan Performante Spyder, also the future prices of these. or Would you have another Supercar in mind. Thanks

    • @RichReviews_
      @RichReviews_  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Having spent the day driving a performante and having driven a 296 on road and track, without a shadow of a doubt in my mind I am choosing the 296 every day of the week and twice on Sunday. It is a better car in every measurable way.
      The only thing I would be weary of is the further depreciation the 296 will likely face (although used examples have suffered a considerable chunk already) and also the longevity of the hybrid system and how Ferrari warranty may or may not protect you from hybrid related issues that may arise - depending on how long you are planning to keep the car.
      A big plus is of course that you will get years of free servicing with any 296 you buy. It’s probably the best supercar you can buy that’s in the smudge over 200k category. But of course, do your own research😃

      I have the Z4 almost 7 years now. Bought it at 80kkm and it's now at 221kkm. Yes, I like to drive it (Apls, Pyrenees, Black Forrest...).
      Pre-modifactions, they put it on the dyno to see if at its age, it was still wise to do the upgrades.
      And guess what....it was at 348hp/540nm (specs are 340hp/500nm). Not too bad.
      It wasn't slow but now it is a bit crazy. Nice crazy....

      No, I don't have the practical knowledge, skills or tools.
      Was done at Mosselman Turbosystems.
      I have this Z4 already some 8 years. Bought it with 80kkm and it's now at 220kkm.
      Yes, I like to drive it. Mostly Alps, Eifel, Black Forrest.
      Decided to keep it, as its value is low due to the high milage, whereas I know it to be a good reliable car.
      Whatever comes next, the Z4 will be parked next to it.
      They suggested to do a dynorun first, to establish the Z4's health, and if it was wise to do the upgrades.
      That was a nice surprise. It did 348hp/540nm (specs: 340hp/500nm), and that after 220kkm. So, off to the workshop!
      First a wallnutblast to get rid of all the crap in the intake (and it was a lot).
      Then swap the stock intercooler for a Wagner Intercooler Competition Evo 2. Already swapped the oilcooler thermostate.
      And lastly, the tuning.
      Was not slow to start with, but now it's a rocket.
      Still not a sportscar, as handling is average. But a very powerful cruiser.
      And I'll just keep it, maintain it, and love it :)
      Are you going to update this topic?

I’m in Canada and a nice 2018 720s, full carbon 1-2-3, Memphis red just came on the market for $255k CAD with 22,000km. Should I continue to wait? Every month I’ve been looking, everything seems to be continuing to drop. Also second question, I’m looking for amazing thrill with least depreciation, would you recommend 720 or 488 or 458 or F8. Every video I see people say out of these cars the 720 is by far the most adrenaline filled experience, but the Ferrari gives you the prestige. Which one are you picking? • @RichReviews_

      Some want the new car experience from buying with a dealership. I guess depends how much you are willing to pay for that new car experience with the various new car dealership benefits like warranty and service packs but you can usually buy these separately.

      @@RichReviews_ Making the UK market even more interesting is that your new cars are also much cheaper to lease than in Australia (I have did a comparison after watching the Harry's Garage video on his new RR Sport and the Aus lease costs are approx 3x higher, when converting GBP to AUD).
      Logic would say that if a new car depreciates faster, the lease costs should be higher (to cover the higher depreciation). But that is not the case. Very strange indeed.
      So your new cars are cheaper for 'new car buyers' and also cheaper for 'used car buyers'. Another reason why UK car buyers are very lucky.

    The 570S isn't a "usable" supercar. They all get sold precisely because they aren't. On Corsas in UK never ending wet weather, having 600bhp going through the rears is an accident waiting to happen. Plus they really require a garage becusee the corrode and let water into the engine and of course they need to be fully charged at all times. They work well out of California and Florida mansions. In sh1tty little England..? Not so much. Oh, and these cars can require £20,000 repair bills to get them right. Tread incredibly carefully with McLarens. Warranty (c. £4k) is a must for gearbox issues, alone. These cars need to be closer to £50k if being sold with some crappy dealer warranty that simply do not cover DCT issues. The DCT is really a growing concern for the used market as repair or replacement is complex, specialist and often requires parts that dealers aren't keen to supply / don't come individually (458 sensors, for eg..). Definitely interesting times ahead..

      Because they’re a newer and more expensive car… obviously…
      The 458 has reached the bottom of its depreciation and is now appreciating. The 488 is at the bottom of its depreciation, and actually, in a lot of cases an equivalent spec and miles 458 is actually more expensive than a 488.
