A BIG thank you for your coverage on this! My husband and I watched so many stonepour DIY and we felt most comfortable in your way of the DIY and you’re right. The result of the swirl patterns look so great and natural afterwards. I’d say we did “almost” as good as your direction lol. I say this because we had a couple bits of snags... We didn’t consider the surface is not quite leveled, so hence the trouble we found during pouring, so I had to stop a bit pouring while my husband shimmed the counter! Then second thing is that we waited a bit too long from the 1.5 hour wait so the liquid didn’t pour out well after removing the masking tape around the edges. But we had made do with it and fixed what we can and looks great 👍 thank you thank you thank you!
Hands down some of the best epoxy countertops I have seen on YT. Sometimes you can tell they’re epoxy because they can look choppy, but these blended sooooo well. Great job (and I’m gonna do the same thing in my kitchen and bathrooms).
Man, you're sooo good at EVERYTHING you do and fix. I ALWAYS pick up new tips and tricks from watching your videos. God bless you and your beautiful family. Take care, be safe and please give your brother and sister in law our best wishes in these difficult trying times for them (specially for her and her family).
Great video. The only thing I would change, based on my experience following your video, would be to NOT warm the epoxy. I learned to let it stay at room temperature. I followed what you said and the cure time (workable time) went from 45 min to 10 min (messed up my first attempt on a table)! On my second attempt (same epoxy batch) letting it stay at room temperature worked best and I had the full 45 min workable time. Other than that, great step by step!
As a novice I’m learning and watching your channel, I like to say that your technic is very smooth. Your tone to which you attack the project is on cue. Thus video was the best and a great starting point for me. Looking forward to others.
Your can do spirit to take it upon yourself is what I like most. You did an excellent job to perfection in my opinion. Thanks for sharing your experience with the trial and error process which finally made it an overall success. Thanks for sharing your project
Ahh saw your tik tok on the hot glue trick and wondered when I'd see it in a video. Those counter tops look 👌. Words can't describe the difference this makes in the kitchen as a whole.
This video couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m looking to remodel my kitchen and stumbled upon epoxy countertops yesterday and was starting to do research when you published this video. I’m pumped to try it now!
Don’t do it. I had my counter tops redone to the marble look with epoxy. We are close to the second year mark and they have yellowed….they stain bad. And you can’t put anything on top like cans or you will get can indents in the counter. Not worth it
Extraordinary work and details that stove is filthy though! Run some expoxy over that thing too! You're a genius. Nobody can duplicate your sheer excellent and attention to detail. I wouldn't even try.
Time saver tip. Install the sink faucet, hot/cold taps (if that is the style you are using) soap pump, dishwasher vent, etc. when you first put the sink in. Saves time on your back trying to tighten the nuts in the cramped cabinet space. Otherwise nice job.
This project was awesome. Great step by step instructions! I like thos project and feel confident I could do it myself after watching this example. The result was spectacular! Great job BYOT!
Amazing Job! & Oh Yeah.... The simple, sheer Pleasure of the Drip Removal - right up there when you create that Bead of Paint on your Brush and move it along making a beautiful, clean Line.
Wow. VERY impressive; especially how neat and clean you were able to keep everything. Please stand by for my adjoining video: "What NOT to do, when creating epoxy countertops" LOL!
OUCH! I no the feeling unfortunately. Wasn't serious in my case but the one and hopefully only time I nick myself on a table saw. Thanks so much for watching as always :)
You make this look so easy and I'm absolutely in love with the results! I've been putting off doing mine after buying all the supplies and this video has me excited again lol
Don’t do it. I had mine professionally done almost 2 years ago. Did the marble look and well they yellow quick, they stain easily and you can’t put any heat or anything on top like cans or you will get can indents in them
I like the epoxy layering technique - it definitely looks more realistic (at least for marble) than some of the other methods I’ve observed. I’ve seen some folks install the backsplash before laying the epoxy on countertop (making it appear as a single piece, also eliminating a caulked seam). Any thoughts on that topic? I can see pros/cons on both sides. Thanks for sharing!
I've worked with epoxy numerous times in the past but this was only my 3rd time ever doing a countertop pour like this. Hope that helps with the Can-Do-Attitude :)
I'm thinking of doing my bathroom vanity. It's not very big but I will get the materials you suggested so it turns out. If not I'll just get a new vanity. The challenge is calling me. Hugs from NC Oh and thank you it was a great video.
Hey Brent. Great content as always. Your videos have come a long way since the beginning. I think the way you are mixing up the content as far as you doing the work versus other pros is just fine. This was as entertaining and informative as all your other videos. Thanks for all your hard work!
Looks awesome…one thing…you don’t need tape with DAP. Good idea with the silicon but Wiping the dap with a damp sponge will give you perfect results without the tape.
Your comment means a lot to me. Thank you so much for producing such a great product and your helpful video tutorials. I made sure to watch your channel to make sure this project turned out great. So glad I did because I LOVE how this project turned out.
Your food could be coming into direct contact with the colorings and paint. I think most of the time Stone Coat recommends a top coat of only clear epoxy in order to prevent potential food contamination from the additives.
I'm so going to try this on my kitchen counter tops. One question, is it really necessary to clean the counter top before sanding it? I totally get cleaning after sanding but not before. I have a lot of counter top so I just wanna not wear myself out if not necessary.
I’m curious how the epoxy holds up as a kitchen countertop surface? Is it safe for food and durable long term? I’ve never worked with it so I’m genuinely curious. Love the videos!
I was going to epoxy my kitchen worktops. Was advised by a specialist not to as it scratches very easily. Matt finish is more forgiving. If you don't use your kitchen on a regular basis then I guess you can get way with it if you are careful
@@MrSagsta I don't know how easily it would scratch the put epoxy on floors in garages all the time. I'm sure if they hold up to vehicles and everything in a garage they'll be fine in a kitchen. There's alot of specialists who will advise against this due to not getting the sale of new countertops.
I followed your tutorial and it came out great. My only question is how did yours stay as "runny" as it did for a long as it did? Mine thickened up fast, I had to move really quick. My only thought was possibly the temperature?
You think it's possible to do this technique but make it resemble Dekton countertops in Taga? Love this idea but unfortunately marble wouldn't quite match my kitchen!
As an artist who has done epoxy pour art... this is how you do it!! These are the best epoxy counters I have seen and I am inspired. Great job!
im an artist too. so can you believe the chances of that?
I am not an artist and did a marble look painted but the epoxy yellowed 😢
WHICH BRAND? The yellowing is unfortunate. I hope you can change it soon!!! @@Rainbowlover1111
He’s a professional, I couldn’t do that. I would need years of experience

LoL! Love it Mitch and thanks for all your support as always.

Great Video! I want to try this.. Hint., install faucet on the sink BEFORE you install the sink in the counter.. WAY easier!
Haha GREAT tip buddy! I will have to remember that one in the future fore sure.

It has been 2 years, how is the epoxy holding up?
You have got to be the neatest and cleanest person! Wow you did a beautiful job …so gorgeous.
This looks great! Now paint the window trim and door and the kitchen will be fab!
I was about to say, please paint out that window and trim with a nice white to make it all shine
You said what I was thinking. Looks simply beautiful.

I love this!! I live in a mobile home, and the counter tops all laminate, this looks like a very viable solutions to upgrade! Thank you!
I like the layering in the bucket technique a lot.
This is the most realistic epoxy counter I've seen done. Nice technique of layering the pigment with the white and then pouring!
LOVE hearing that Jennifer because thats really what we were tying to accomplish on this project. Thanks for pointing that out.
Unbelievable, can’t believe how beautiful it came out. Love how you did the step by step transformation with the tips, thank you 👍

😂oh as a South African, I just loved hearing Miriam Makeba at the end! Love the outcome 😊.
This is by far the best video I have seen on epoxy countertop. Thank you for sharing and the end product looks great
Beautiful results!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love the ending song "Pata Pata" by Miriam Makeba. It's sang in my native South African language of IsiXhosa. 🇿🇦❤
Beautiful job. Looks like actual stone. Honestly best epoxy faux stone look ever!
Wow. Great call on the subtle adding of the tint and layering it into you mix. Well done as always man.
Thanks so much for mentioning that TJ. We wanted a realistic look on this project and love how it turned out.
Absolutely fantastic. Way to go above and beyond to get the best outcome.
VERY HELPFUL FOR SOME OF US WHO HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE? EXCELLENT!
I was thinking of doing a paint kit for my tops but after watching this, I'd rather do epoxy. Way better finish and look.
Thank you, I've watched so many DIY videos on how to do this but this is the easiest and best one ye!!!!!!!!!! NOW I'M READY .....
Good luck!!! Make sure you freeze the video...Often lol
Wow it looks amazing. Have watched many videos as I’m preparing to redo my countertops. Love the outcome and the step by step instructions❤️❤️❤️
Super impressed! This has been the best countertop DIY I’ve seen. My project is much smaller, so I’m excited to give this a try!
Genius. I was worried about painting in my veins. This method looks so much more real and less stressful

Looks amazing. I would probably paint the wood door white and the trim around the window as well. But it truly looks fantastic.
Good choice on the black Kohler sink. It ties in quite nicely with the black handles on the cabinets.
Stone coat never disappoints. Yep that plunge cut, I nipped the end of my fingers some years back when the board kicked back, won’t do that again.

And that voice is so calming. All perfect.
This is GORGEOUS!! Great job and truly an amazing inspiration 😊 Blessing
It came out great. I would have painted the winde white for myself but it came together really nicely. Great job
