Looks great! I thought the countertops upgraded the look of the kitchen so much, but then the new color and the shelving knock it out of the park! Great job!
I did the white marble epoxy in my kitchen too. I had so much fun painting the veins. But it’s also really important to note…. The temperature in your area NEEDS to be within the correct range as described in the directions. I just went off of my thermostat, but apparently the temp in my actual kitchen area was lower. Because of this, the epoxy did not cure correctly, and still to this day (a year later) will get indentions in it from items sitting on the counter. 🤦🏻♀️ It still looks beautiful though, if you don’t look too close!
Turned out super cute! If no one has mentioned it yet, Stone Coat Countertops is a countertop epoxy company that has TONS of hands-on videos avaialble on youtube for free and they sell a really great product. And they have SO many tints and colors and additives you can use on your own projects to get literally any color or stone-style. It's a family-owned business of contractors-turned-epoxy-enthusiasts and they'd be my #1 choice when wanting to epoxy or floors/walls/tables/etc. Epoxy can be really nasty and dangerous and it can also yellow over time but the product available from Stone Coat is very safe and meant to stay clear over time.
Absolutely gorgeous! I love the counter tops the kitchen cabinets and the open shelving!, You are so talented and brave to do this by yourself,I could never imagine doing this! Love your videos!
The countertops turned out really nice. You are so gifted. The entire kitchen turned out really nice. Great job Liz! Happy New Year, have a fantastic 2023!😊
Heck yes I would try this on my counter tops, I've actually been considering it lately, I love everything about your kitchen starting from the decor and the lamps, down to the countertops, shelves, cabinet color and door handles 😍🥰
Ok Liz, YOU SOLD ME!!! I am going to talk to my husband, and this is going to be our first kitchen upgrade for 2023. We built our home in 1992...never added a backsplash and have not done any updates to the kitchen. IT IS TIME. I thought we would get stone but yours is so beautiful this would be great. I have seen others do it but their veins were way to bold and thick for me that it turned me off. I absolutely love the way yours turned out. Then my next project will be either painting or restaining our cabinets. My husband was a cabinet builder, and he is not into painting oak cabinets, but finally agreed to let me do something otherwise I said we are going to get new doors! So, we may as well give painting a try! You are just so inspiring! Thank YOU
Liz, that's stunning👌. As you finished the countertop I thought "those cabinets need to be soft grey"! The colour you chose was perfect. I'm not brave enough to try this but love how your kitchen turned out.
Liz, I enjoyed what you did and how it turned out. However, I don't know what or where to get the "kit" you used. Would you tell me what the "kit" is called and where I purchase it. Your explaination of the process is so through, but I just nee to get thee "kit" and get started. Thanks
I have the SAME countertops! I hate them so much, but it was a deal breaker when we looked at the house. I'm going to show my husband this video, and see if he'll help me do this, until we can afford a full kitchen remodel. Thanks so much!!
GREAT JOB, LIZ! The marble countertop really looks like a real marble design and not a DIY. Your renovation brightens up the kitchen! Again, great job, girlfriend!
Yes, I really want to do my countertops this year. You are motivating me to do it!😊 I hate the color of my formica countertops, seeing your transformation is truly inspiring! You did a beautiful job!❤
What a transformation, wow!! Our counters are already light in color, but thanks to your detailed instructions, I'd know how to! Happy New Year to you, Delaney & your family!
OMG I have to try this. I have been trying to figure out a color for the cabinets. I like that Stardew alot. I get so overwhelmed lookimg at all the paint chips and leave the store with a handfull of colors, then never go back. Thank you for showing us the counter make over, I never knew this was available. Such a good teaching video. Thank You for sharing.
Such a beautiful kitchen! I just hate the puck lights and how you have to get up there and turn them on. Before I bought my home, my realtor said the counter tops were real granite. They started to look really bad. I then realized they are NOT granite, but paint and a bad paint job at that! So, I have been sort of looking in to re-doing them. Thank you for showing us how you did yours! Now I see it is not too hard to do! Thank you!
It’s beautiful! You make it look so easy. I’d love to do it to my countertops. I wish I was as talented as you are and I wish I had the confidence you have. You did a great job!
I am so very impressed with all you have done in your kitchen. I sent this along to my Bestie who wants us to do this to her counters. I was a bit nervous about the veining, but your helpful hints have really fixed that for me. Thanks so much!!!!
I love how this turned out. My one question and maybe someone else mentioned it, I haven’t gone through the comments. You hadn’t mentioned the areas where you had removed the old calk and replaced with new calk. Is this something you did also?
Great job. I did my countertops 2 years ago. I love how they turned out but a little darker than I'd like so, I'm ready to do it again and lighten them up.
This is fantastic! I love how it turned out. We just bought a new waterfront home and it's everything I've ever wanted. While the kitchen is huge, the previous owners didn't use a nice countertops so until our pocketbook recovers, I'm already going to do the epoxy & veining. I've done my previous home's 8 inch baseboard in a vein pattern so I'm not concerned about that part. I'm looking for puck lights similar to yours but I need remote control. You've not added them to your source list, I'd love to know how they've held up if they are remote controlled. Thanks so much!
Epoxy becomes yellow in time does not matter how clear it was, also if you cut some veggies on epoxy instead of cutting board what happens? I do not think epoxy is safe for counters. But it looks like marble, good job.
Luv the new countertops. I looked into this several yrs ago but I have very little counter space an don't believe I could go as long as it takes w/o using them. Great job Liz!
Great job! You've inspired me to try something similar. I was thinking the dark cabinets looked too dark with the marble........then here comes the gray! GORGEOUS !!! 😍
Liz you done a fantastic job. When you finished the tops I thought the cabinet colours were too dark and I wanted to say paint the cabinet than tge next frame came with the the colour 😊. So glad you did a light colour. Everything looks fantastic. I can only dream to have a nice kitchen. Mayve one day.
We did try the countertop treatment in an rv; it looked great & was a small enough to give us the confidence to try other countertops. Love your ideas always! Thanks! Jenny
I am going to have to come back and see all of this. I Thank You so much for posting this video. I Could not stop watching you right at first I got up to where you did all your veins on your countertop on how to go about doing it. Now I am going to come back. You are so good at this!! 👍👍 🥰
I so hope you did a video on painting your cabinets. I've been thinking about doing this. 🤔 Everything came out very nice. My next question is when you wanted to turn on your sconce lights how did you do it? Climb on counter? Use pole? I love your chanel. Thank you for the awesome info.
Love this because you initial kitchen is mine except no island...the cabinet color is stunning; the counter tops...WOW WOW...Yes indeed I will be doing this to my counter tops and cabinets...everything was very spot on...🤌😍😃
I have a small kitchen and watched other videos of it being done and still am scared something would go wrong. Yours looks stunning and it looks easy enough. I still don't know though if I want to do this. I don't have a Liz around to consult.
Great looking kitchen. I painted cabinets before & it takes a lot of time. I'm not brave enough to do countertops. How do you reach the basket lights to turn them on with them being so high up on the wall? I can't imagine not using the kitchen for meals while countertops were being beautified. Maybe takeout? They look beautiful for sure.
I’m impressed! I actually sell marble, granite, quartz and quartzite slabs to fabricators. Beautiful ♥️ This doesn’t look like the kitchen I’ve seen in other videos. Did you move?
Hi Liz, how are your countertops looking now? I'm asking because I've seen some videos where people using the same product mentioned that their counters turned yellow or stained. Could you please share your experience after a year? TIA
Great job! I want to paint my Formica too. Also love the shelves! I also love that you don’t talk so much. some videos I just can’t watch because they over talk - ughh! Thank you - great video❤
Your tips and suggestions are very helpful and I'm totally wanting to try this if I can get the help. I am very arthritic, and my husband did all the painting and decor work in our home before he passed away in 2020 due to Covid. I now find myself at a loss of what to do to get things organized and back in order. My cabinets are very dark mahogany, and my counters look just as yours did before your revamped them. I am curious to know if the kit comes in other styles besides marble.
The countertops are beautiful! And the cabinets are absolutely gorgeous! I am going to Sherwin Williams this weekend to get this color! Love, love, love it!
Wow! To see you actually do all of the steps, not so hard, maybe, lol. And I was wondering if you were going to change the brown on your cabinets love the blue, but I am totally in love with the countertops and I don’t have near the countertop that you do so much should be even easier for me huh lol, thanks Liz for sharing that that was very helpful and very informative!!!!❤
Looks so good! I’m seriously considering doing this. Do you know how heat resistant this is? I’ve had granite before that I could just plop a hot pan on directly from the burner or oven. I’ve also had Formica and definitely needed to use hot pads. Wondering if hot pads are necessary with this? I’m thinking yes, but wanted to make sure.
Wow!!!! Love love love!!! You are so talented and your kitchen looks so beautiful! I love the countertops, the color of the cabinets, the hardware, the shelves, just everything that you’ve done!
Enjoy the Overland Park Home and Gardens show this weekend -- everyone will love meeting you! Glad you will have good weather! Enjoy and have fun. Saw the advertisement on our local FOX4 newscast this morning.
Your kitchen looks wonderful. I have a question. How will you change the batteries in the puck lights since they are attached to the base of your fixture?
Hi Liz, great vid about painted countertops. I am seriously considering this. One question I had though is about your wicker sconces. Can you provide the link to those- it seems to be a broken link & can you tell me, are those remote controlled puck lights? Do you have another video about how you installed these that goes into more detail?
The whole kitchen looks so great. I'm not sure I would try painting my countertops. Maybe if I practiced on something else first! I have the artistic prowess of a third grade child. Question: do the puck lights have a remote? If not, how do you turn them on?
I only have one kitchen, you said it takes around 7 days to allow this to be ready to put anything on, I haven't got that time for it to dry. Looks great though.
I have the same counter tops...lol. Would love to redo them but the chemicals in the paint and sealer would make me sick. Maybe one day I can figure out a way to make it happen. Looks amazing!
I did try this on my counters almost 2 years ago, and the paint is starting to come off around the sink and some spots on the counter. I didn't use the marble one with the epoxy (I probably should have used this one), but one of the other ones from the same brand you used. I'm going to try the epoxy one since it looks like this would be better than the non-epoxy ones they have.
I would love to see how you updated your cabinetry... did you paint them? I'm thinking of painting my kitchen cabinets but not sure how challenging it would be. Thank you!
Looks great! I thought the countertops upgraded the look of the kitchen so much, but then the new color and the shelving knock it out of the park! Great job!
I would like to see how to paint cabinets
You did an awesome job on the counter tops
I did the white marble epoxy in my kitchen too. I had so much fun painting the veins. But it’s also really important to note…. The temperature in your area NEEDS to be within the correct range as described in the directions. I just went off of my thermostat, but apparently the temp in my actual kitchen area was lower. The kitchen looks beautiful, love the colors you chose for the cabinets and the counter tops came out soooo nice! Perfection 🥰
This is one of my favorite videos you've made. The music is tasteful. The instructions are concise. The kitchen looks beautiful.
Looks great Liz. I painted my counter tops black 3 yrs ago and they are holding strong also
Liz, that's stunning👌.
WOW! The counter tops and new shelves came out terrific! Your kitchen is so much brighter and beautiful.
GREAT JOB, LIZ! The marble countertop really looks like a real marble design and not a DIY. Your renovation brightens up the kitchen! Again, great job, girlfriend!
I did mine too! Came out beautiful! I didn't do marble I did the black and white granite look.
Yes, I really want to do my countertops this year. You are motivating me to do it!😊 I hate the color of my formica countertops, seeing your transformation is truly inspiring! You did a beautiful job!❤

Love the countertops and the cabinets. It makes the kitchen look new and so much brighter. Fantastic job, Liz! Congratulations 🎉🎉❤❤
Think about painting the cabinets as well. Light grey,, dark grey, light blue. Looks great, great job!!!
It looks great, but how do you turn the lights on in the sconces if they aren't wired and sit high up??
Goodness is anything you can't do? You are amazing. I just love watching your videos.🥰
You did an outstanding job, but no, I would not have the nerve to try it myself. Hats off to you, my dear!❤️❤️❤️
I love how this turned out. My one question and maybe someone else mentioned it, I haven’t gone through the comments. You hadn’t mentioned the areas where you had removed the old calk and replaced with new calk. Is this something you did also?
What a transformation. It looks so much brighter and you would never know it was a DIY. I don't think I could do this but what an inspo.
I'm going to do a faux marble on my countertops, but I'll be using IOD marble decor stamps. Yours turned out very nice.
Great job. I did my countertops 2 years ago. I love how they turned out but a little darker than I'd like so, I'm ready to do it again and lighten them up.

I did do my countertop and was very excited with the outcome. Now I look at them and they are just to dark. Gonna attempt to try something different.
Hi, my counters top is laminates can I still do this too?
Liz you done a fantastic job. When you finished the tops I thought the cabinet colours were too dark and I wanted to say paint the cabinet than tge next frame came with the the colour 😊. I was thinking of trying this in my RV!
I'm a little confused about the puck lights, how do you turn them on? Do you have to climb up there and turn them on every time you need lights?
The countertops look great. I used epoxy on mine a couple of years ago. Saved me so much money and they look awesome!
I am going to have to come back and see all of this. I Thank You so much for posting this video. I Could not stop watching you right at first I got up to where you did all your veins on your countertop on how to go about doing it. Now I am going to come back. You are so good at this!! 👍👍 🥰

I can't imagine not using the kitchen for meals while countertops were being beautified. Maybe takeout?
They look beautiful for sure.
Way too beautiful. I've been watching videos to be able to do mine and your technique is the best. Congratulations
Can you show how you painted the cabinets and what products you used. Your counter tops looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Omg Liz. I love the way your countertops looks. Wow wow you did an amazing job. God bless your talents. 🥰
Looks Great! Have the countertops lasted? Is it durable?
They look so good. You are so brave in doing this yourself. Do you have a video on how to paint the cabinets. I want to do that
Liz, Do you regret not taking out the sink? Or did it work out really nice?
Very impressive! I don’t know if I would have the courage to try this on my counter tops but you did an excellent job.
It turned out super pretty. We are thinking about painting our kitchen floor tile. Have you had any experience with this?
What an amazing transformation! How do you clean painted countertops?
Omg ! It looks absolutely gorgeous & so professionally done ! Wow you are good ! Job well done ! Beautiful kitchen !
I’m impressed! I actually sell marble, granite, quartz and quartzite slabs to fabricators. Beautiful ♥️ This doesn’t look like the kitchen I’ve seen in other videos. Did you move?

I love them! I like how you didn't go overboard with the grey. 💗
Loved the WHOLE EFFORT! I love the puck-light bit and the shelves. Thrift on, young Padawon!
Not sure if anyone has asked but I'm curious what did you do for meals when kitchen was not usable for a week? 💜💙💚💛🧡

Wow, I wish I could do this! Everything came out beautifully, I am so impressed with your skills! Blessings.
That is impressive. The best diy marble I’ve seen.
You go girlie! I’m loving blue color on your cabinets…..counters look great!
You're the Kim Komando of do-it-yourself. You have a new sub. I just love your new kitchen. You rock!
Enjoy the Overland Park Home and Gardens show this weekend -- everyone will love meeting you! Glad you will have good weather! Enjoy and have fun. Saw the advertisement on our local FOX4 newscast this morning.
You did a Great job ,on the whole kitchen, you absolutely transformed it .I love it ,looks Great!!
Great job! Was one kit enough for your counters? I probably have around the same as yours along the stove, sink and island.
Beautiful job with the countertops! And thank you so much for the details on how to do the veining.
Your kitchen looks wonderful. I have a question. How will you change the batteries in the puck lights since they are attached to the base of your fixture?
And how does she turn them on?
@@debbibowen was wondering this as well. Puck lights are usually push/tap to turn on but that seems too high to be able to do it easily
@@debbibowen scrolled through more comments - they have a remote control lol
Hi Liz, great vid about painted countertops. I am seriously considering this. One question I had though is about your wicker sconces. Can you provide the link to those- it seems to be a broken link & can you tell me, are those remote controlled puck lights? Do you have another video about how you installed these that goes into more detail?
Your counter tops are AMAZING! And your cabinets are beautiful!
Love this, you did an awesome job, the counters, cabinets and shelves are amazing. I’m planning on doing my bathroom and kitchen counters. 👏👏👏
Wow so beautiful!!!
Where did you get this product? Also was there an odor that we would need to open a window?
What a great detailed explanation on how to do this. Did you only need one kit for all your counters? The result is great!
What happened to the grey and white kitchen? Did she move? (I'm new to the channel.)
It turned out so pretty, love the color of the cabinets.
I really need to know where you got/what brand of tape and plastic you used on the bottom cabinets!!
Hello. I have heard that epoxy can turn yellowish after a year or so. Have you found any discoloring in your case?
My countertops are PINK 🤦🏻♀️ You have motivated me to do this as my next DIY! Great video!
Looks awesome, you always seem to do such a great job on all your projects.
Thank you for doing something other than Dollar Tree! Yay! Such a beautiful countertop Reno!
Wow, I'm amazed, you make it look so easy, I would not have the courage to attempt that
I did try this on my counters almost 2 years ago, and the paint is starting to come off around the sink and some spots on the counter. I didn't use the marble one with the epoxy (I probably should have used this one), but one of the other ones from the same brand you used. I'm going to try the epoxy one since it looks like this would be better than the non-epoxy ones they have.
I LOVE your kitchen! The countertops are beautiful and I love the paint color on the cabinets! We’ll done, Liz!
YES YES YES!!! My counters are light blue, ick! I'm soooooo doing this!
Looks gorgeous! How did they hold up?
You did a fantastic job on everything! I love the countertops, the cabinet color, and those shelves look amazing! You go girl! 😁
I would love to see how you updated your cabinetry... did you paint them? I'm thinking of painting my kitchen cabinets but not sure how challenging it would be. Thank you!
