Secret pleasure is sitting with a cup of coffee and my knitting Saturday mornings to watch the shopcast! Did anyone catch how cute the donkey's little belly was? 🤩
I’m so excited for the delivery of this springs taster box. The inclusion of mountain meadows yarn will be a delight for many. If one ever travels to Buffalo Wyoming take a tour of the mill and learn how they handle their wools. The wool from Spain is exciting too. Love to have unicorn wools in my stash. WIPs include socks, two sweaters, a Swedish cowl and Forrest the bison. My hands are rarely idle.
Another stellar shopcast!! Kelsey's weaving memories of travel in Scotland, all the beautiful socks, the International Taster Box....WOW!...your generous new shipping rates! And so lovely to see the Star Cardi again. It was seeing that on my first visit that brought me back a 2nd time. It's been years now and so much gratitude for your hearts, missions, humor, diligence and integrity. You shine☆☆☆☆
TWT Shopcast day gives a new meaning to TGIF. It is Friday, so here I sit, enjoying the Shopcast while finishing another pair of socks (Yes, Kelsey, Exmoor sock yarn is awesome), cogitating about vests, shawls, and all manner of projects.Yay! Go, Team!!
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the Woolly Thistle shopcasts. I look forward to them every fortnight. All the presenters are really lovely. Watching these youtubes has heightened my appreciation for woolly wool and I am learning so much about different breeds of sheep and knitwear designers. Thank you so much for bringing some sanity and a peaceful space into my life.
One of my favorite parts of the Shopcast is the end where you highlight pictures of projects that viewers have sent in - so, so inspirational. Thank you for the lovely variety of yarns, projects, goodies, and fun, gabby commentary along the way. Keep it coming! Thank you to all the team at TWT for making this available to us! Sue
I got Mouche and Friends from you, along with the suggested yarn and made Billie the raccoon and Horacio the donkey for my grandsons. They love them. Horacio’s backpack is the cutest! ❤
Love seeing everyone’s shawls and socks and have only this to say: Emma, we’ve been having some unusually (and wonderfully) cool weather in Baltimore this spring, haven’t we? Yay! Summer, go hide your head; I want to wrap up against the cold.
Always a pleasure watching and learning about the woolly yarns you sell. Fabulous pictures of viewers projects at the end also. Keep up the great work 😊
Another wonderful shopcast! Alas, not able financially to get a taster box this time, but I did order and receive some TWT Jamieson and Smith 2-ply as a cone. GREAT value, especially if you already have balls of various colors to go with it. Just want to add storage in clean pillow cases (for yarn or finished goods) that are tightly closed work very well.
Another wonderful Woolly Thistle podcast! I look forward to every episode. Maggie's knitted animals are too cute! Kelsey's segment was interesting and informative. I always learn so many tips and creative skills from the podcast. Can't wait for the next podcast!
Absolutely delighted that our yarn is included among so many other stellar brands in your Spring Taster Box. Thank you Corinne, Maggie, and all the Woolly Thistlers for your continued support 💖
Love your Shopcast! What a tempting Taster Box. Yum! Kelsey, what a great idea to weave with your special travel purchase yarns and fabric. Emma, the Gansey for your teacher is gorgeous.
I am finally convinced to try a sock wool without nylon. Can’t wait to try out the Rambler. Also, I really want to see the adorable donkey dungarees!! So cute!!
I enjoyed hearing about the Spring Taster box and the individual stories of the extra special wools included therein. There is an endless amount of learning and enjoyment, isn’t there? ❤️TWT
Another amazing inspirational shop cast! Love all the shawls shown from the KAL! Thank you again for making my day. I look forward to the next shopcast!
Thank you for the shout out. It's been fun having everyone join me on socks. I thought I'd be lucky for one or two knitters to knit socks along with me, but it really caught on! Corinne, every time you wear your Star Cardi, I say I'm going to knit it... It's too hot in Central Texas already, but maybe in the Fall. The donkey is adorable, Maggie. Always a fun way to start the day with a cup of coffee with y'all.
Corinne, every time you wear that cardigan, it sneaks back to the top of my queue! But I still can't decide what colors to use. Also, I'm so happy to see your continued support of the Wooldreamers' project to promote family flocks. I have a sweater's quantity of the Mallorquina wool that I purchased to make Maggie's Hirne. I just need the clasps!
I gasped with delight when I learned you have included Mountain Meadow Wool in your taster box. They are in my backyard basically, and I've followed them since their inception. Thank you for including them.
Like many others, I’m quite sensitive to the prickliness of wooly wools, so I appreciate very much that you mention the softness of the different yarns when describing them. I love learning about each and every one of them. Your shopcast is a great resource! Thank you!
You always pack so much great information and inspiration in every shopcast! I love your contributors too who share their projects and knowledge with the rest of us. Friday mornings with a cup of coffee, a knitting project and the Woolly Thistle shopcast are the best!
Knitting is so therapeutic! Knitting with you makes it even better. Knitting my first pair of socks and doing 2 at once while listening. So far so good though they won't be perfect! Love the new yarns introduced in the Taster Box. This is getting really hard on my pocketbook though!
My family got me Mouche and Friends and a TWT gift card for Mother's Day! And I am having a difficult time deciding between which to knit first -- Nanna the duck or Horatio the Donkey. And seeing both (and Agi the sheep) in this episode has not helped me decide. :) They are both so cute!!!!! Thanks for sharing your Mouche makes, Maggie!
Another fun Shopcast! Thank you! I’m knitting socks with Drover and I love this yarn! I’ve just started my second sock of the pair. I ordered the taster box and I cannot wait until it comes. This is the 3rd box I’ve gotten and I am never disappointed. So good! 💕💕
Another great episode! I'm counting down the days 'til my Taster Box arrives. Thank you for offering these fun opportunities to try so many unique yarns and goodies!
Great shopcast! Love the star cardigan, adding it to my "to do" list. Just got my taste box. Looking forward to making lots of lovelies with the gorgeous yarn. Appreciate the suggestion card for some ideas. Thank you Woolly Thistle!
I can’t wait to get my Taster Box! I love Maggie’s donkey- so cute. I learned a lot about washing my woolens - very practical. Emma’s blue socks are beautiful - loved her tips about what yarn to use.
Thrilled to see you (Corinne) wearing your Star cardie again - I knitted one with the pattern and JS wool I purchased from you. I LOVE it and can vouch for how beautiful this piece is to wear and, even though I made it a few years ago now, still looks as good as the day it was finished, due to the high quality yarn and great pattern. I just had to knit the Star cardie when I saw you originally wearing it on your podcast and even though I had not done colour work for years, or ever steeked before, this pattern was straightforward and entirely achievable, with no tears shed and a really beautiful result. Maggie, I love your donkey and sock knitting.
The Donkey❤ Amazing ❤ he is so beautiful 🎉. Maggie can’t believe you with these toys. Always look toward to the shopcast. Always something to spend my money on. 😅. Also great as to the segments and all around show. Thank you as always.
I always enjoy your shop casts!! Thank you! Yesterday was my birthday so I did a birthday cast on for Afra sweater by Irene in Manchelopis Caldera held with Drops 70/30 kid silk electric orange. Huge change from the recommended yarn so I spent the past several months swatching and testing. And now I'm off to knitting heaven. Thank you all so much for not just awesome yarns but also ideas for how to understand substitutions and swatching and creating my perfect knits.
Can't wait to see the donkey's overalls. Perhaps Maggie can start the first "Animal per month" once the sock year is done. Really enjoyed Kelsey's Scottish travels handspun wools and tapestry. And the plaid kelt scraps! Wasn't expecting that! Slàinte mhath!
another great podcast. I really enjoy you ladies and all that you have to offer. Emma and Kelsy' s segments are always so inspiring i love Emma's sock she needs to write that for a pattern. Am looking forward to the hat pattern. Love the boxes and all the goodies inside. 😊
Oh my word Maggie's knit critters had me cooing like a baby. They are cute and they are really funny, too. "He's a strong donkey." hahaha! I"m not a critter knitter, but I may have to give it a try now. I DO like the prototype bag colors very very much.
Wow! Another wonderful podcast! It was so nice to meet Corrine again at the NH Sheep & Wool Festival last weekend! (Corinne, I was so excited to see you that I forgot to tell you how beautiful your knitted vest was that you were wearing!). Sorry I didnt talk to Maggie or Kelsey but they were involved with other people at the time I was there! Mayb next year we can chat!! I love seeing all the beautiful patterns everyone is knitting! I get so many new ideas to try to knit (altho those are added to the 100's of other patterns in my library). I will never have enough time to knit them all but Im gonna try my best!! Happy Knitting to everyone at TWT & everyone watching!
Oh I need to get that Mouche and friends book! That donkey is the cutest and I cannot wait for his overalls ❤! While watching I am working on my May socks . I have one completed and the cuff and 1.5 inches on the second. LOVE the sock a long. For June I am going to work on some shorties for summer and try one of the patterns with a tab on the heel. Happy knitting everyone 🌻🧶🌻🧶
TWT Fridays are always a treat!! Thank you all for creating this beautiful, woolly community! Maggie’s donkey is adorable. I’ve also jumped on the Mouche and Friends bandwagon and what a fun ride it is! Take care all and thanks again for the great episode.
Thanks for the latest podcast! I really enjoy listening to Emma. She is so creative. It was fun to meet Maggie in person in Harrisville at the Patty Lyons sweater class a couple weeks ago.
Awwww that donkey is too cute 😍 Well done Maggie 👍 And that cardigan is gorgeous Corinne ... I sooo want to learn to knit 🙏 and be using real wool! ❤ Susannah
It is always enjoyable to watch your shopcasts. It is such a positive note to start the day. Or end a day if I get to catch it at night. Thank you so much for your information and sharing your knowledge. It is much appreciated.
I think I'm going to have to make that donkey - can't wait to see him in his overalls! I agree that toys need to be firmly stuffed ... except perhaps for shoulder and arm joints that need to retain enough flexibility to be huggable. All-in-all a fiddle-y process, but the end result is so well worth it!
This is my first time watching the shopcast. Love it. I only recently learned about your shop and I love the whole concept of focusing on the woolies. I looooove sheepy smelling yarn so it's so wonderful. I already placed two back to back orders and plan to continue to shop with you for my woolly needs

I just love my Saturday mornings with the Woolly Thistle :

Was knitting on my Star Cardi when I tuned in, and behold! Such a pretty knit. So happy for each new episode. ❤

Thank you for hightligting socks as good for summer knitting! I like knitting on them when we are driving.
You're so welcome! I like knitting them on car rides too :)
This is my first time watching the shopcast. Love it. I only recently learned about your shop and I love the whole concept of focusing on the woolies. I looooove sheepy smelling yarn so it's so wonderful. I already placed two back to back orders and plan to continue to shop with you for my woolly needs
