Kay, I have to share a personal story with you. About 2 weeks ago my 8 year old daughter ended up in the ER and was then admitted to the hospital for 4 days. On the hospital bed was a beautiful patchwork quilt that had been donated to the children's ward of the hospital. It was so lovely, and we got to bring it home with us, which delighted my daughter. It is now a treasured blanket that she uses every night. The blankets that you are making for your local ER are more than just blankets. They are comfort and safety and something beautiful in the midst of a scary time for a child (and their parents). Thank you for donating them. I wish I could thank the person who made the blanket for my daughter. I will always be grateful.
I was also loving the snow we got....I absolutely love winter ❤ I am having a blast crocheting a Round Ripple Blanket, all inspired by yours and your encouragement. Wishing you and your family a very blessed Thanksgiving. We have so much to be grateful for ❤😊
Good morning Kayla. Sitting with a cup of coffee while watching your podcasts always makes me happy; however seeing your completed Musselburgh hat this morning really put a smile on my face. Absolutely love it! It's beautiful as are all of your projects. At 71 years old, I'm an intermediate crocheter and a very beginner knitter who struggles with the purl stitch and have always had knitted socks on my bucket list but now I'm adding the Musselburgh hat. Just love it and love the scrappy yarn selections. Have a blessed day!
Hello, after 25 years of crochet I learned to knit as well. Continental style is easiest for me as it mimics crochet in my opinion. Try the Norwegian purl method.
Wyatt's Meow socks are so fun! Love that striping pattern in the yarn...sooooo good! You've got some gorgeous yarn to knit up. I immediately fell in love with the monkey sock set and thought wow, those would be awesome striped socks. So that's my pick...although you can't go wrong with any of them. I have been resisting VERY hard to not order some Felici. A few of those colors are taunting me. I just may break down soon and throw caution to the wind. I do love self striping sock yarn WAY too much.
Enjoy your first snow of the season. Cast on Christmas with my Gnomies - I want to see the speckled yarn. I can’t wait for my Woolen Women box to arrive!
Those sock sets by Frog It are cuuuuuute. Always enjoy catching up with you every Friday. Today I finished my 4" of twisted ribbing for a sweater 😅 and had some coffee. Cannot wait to see what you get up to in the coming week(s). Good bless❤
❤morning kay,,,🎉🎉🎉 Love, love ur musselburgh ,,,,and the cast on sounds so much easier than the pinhole i did 4 times!!!grrr,,, Going to try that,,,, Loving the scrappy style and using up so much ,,,pkan in winding up a magic knot ball at some point and starting another,,,,, See how this one fits!!! Love the socks,,,, 🧦🧦 Have a great weekend,,, ELAINE 🏡💕 Csnt believe you got snow before us !❄️❄️
The Country Roads yarn is so much prettier here than in the official pictures! Do I need more sock yarn? Absolutely not… but does my heart crave it? Of course! 😂💖
Your son’s socks came out so nice! Heck, all your socks, hats and blankets are looking lovely. Thank you for sharing the new businesses with us. Such pretties! Felici! Yay! I called my Auntie to share with her that it’s back. She used to have quite the collection and then it was gone. 😢 I broke my hand in September but soon I should be able to knit as much as I like. 🎉 Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving to you all. StitchedbyMimi
Cast on the christmas with my gnomes! That is a beautiful set. Oh, don’t mention the scrappy blankets because I’ll drop all my projects that need to be done for my family and work on my scrappy blanket! 😂 I wondered if you’d seen that felici is back. Thanks for the wonderful episode!
Beautiful yarn colours!! Can’t wait to see them knit up! I’m from Ontario and no snow here yet! Contrary to some popular belief, we don’t live in igloos! lol
I'm about at the same place with the Yarnables November socks. I followed your way of knitting two socks; yarn on two different needles except I'm sticking to my dpns. This is my first month with Yarnables, or any yarn subscription, and I am so looking forward to December's order!
Love the meow socks. Son and DIL have cats. Seventy nine!!! I am happy when I do 12.. I have yarn for four more Musselburgh hats. Now I have a scrappy one planned too. I did finish 3 for Christmas gifts 🎁. So socks are on the back burner ❤
Glad you are enjoying the snow! Fun thought for your extra Buddy skein of Felici. Cast on a Musselburgh hat and use a solid stroll color for the other half. Would be super cute for Chistmas. Have a great weekend. God bless! ❤
I was born and raised in Georgia, but after high school I moved up to Michigan for 10 years. Now I’m back in my home state and I miss snow SO MUCH. Used to get 2 feet easy, now I’m lucky if I ever see white again. 😭 Please enjoy the snow for those of us who can’t, Kay! 🥹🤍
I cast on my first Christmas socks of the season while I watched. After seeing your IG photo today, it was all I could think sbout! We watched our town's Santa Claus parade earlier, so I was READY to gift knit 😂. You could make lovely felici knee socks with that set of 3 skein!!!
Mini skein set: stripe the white and red like you used to do with mandi's makings share a pairs, using the green for heels and toes, and use the candy cane progress keeper :)
Love your Musselburgh hat! That Lisa yarn is something my 3 yr old granddaughter would love. When we were there at the end of last month she kept saying pink/purple are my favorite! May have to get one and make her a pair.
Greetings everyone. The scrappy hat is nice, looks fun to wear. Southern California here no snow in these parts where I live, lately. Maybe we will get a snowy surprise this year. Enjoy your inspirational projects Kay. Have a blessed week y'all.
The scrappy musselburgh is awesome! I found the lantern moon cables excellent, similar to chiagoo and maybe even more flexible. They work on the knit picks/knit pro needles. I get the spin version
Enjoy the snow. Nothing in southern Ontario (yet) but the scent is in the air. I always start my Musselburgh the same way and use KFB for the increases. I think it looks fine. I usually leave the decrease end on the outside anyway so no one even sees it.
Loved seeing all your finished projects; so pretty. I'm working on the "Two Harbor Poncho" hoping to finished before Thanksgiving. Seeing all your projects makes me want to cast on some socks to gift for Christmas. So many ideas; so little time. I can't wait to see what you decide to knit next. I know the stripe socks will be adorable and so will the Christmas with my anomies. Hope you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving.
Love all your things today! Especially the scrappy hat! I’m currently working on my 4th musselburgh hat, love the pattern! For next cast on, I vote for Christmas with my Gnomies, I love that multicolour yarn! ❤
Wonderful video Kayla, as always! Love love love the scrappy Musselburgh hat! And of course the new one 😉! I have lots of 1st generation Felici and I think some Musselburgh hats are in my future with those. ❤
Fun to the see the new Felici colors! I got a surprise extra ball of Stroll on one of my last orders. I had also seen the video about doing kfb instead of m1r and m1l - so glad to see it again as I find those increases so fiddly. Our snow came overnight earlier in the week, will be hoping for snow in the daytime soon. Love watching it too.
Last week here where I live (Colorado) it snowed for 3 straight days. By time it finally stopped we had 18” of snow! Luckily, it never stays around for very long. For the Christmas socks, I vote for the Gnomies socks, they definitely will be very cute socks.
Hold your horses! M hat: you did a regular cast on, split the stitches on the ML, then did kf&b instead of M1L and M1R! You are freaking me out in a good way. I will try that next! Finishing my 1st M hat. I’m also instructed regarding the change in needle length . The 16 inch is a bit of a struggle for me.
Snow!! I wish. We are still in the mud 70s here in east Texas. But.. we are in the upper 30s at night. Love all the things. Im winding up Christmas present knits. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
OMG yessss, Felici! I felt the same way when they discontinued it--I flipped from "oh, I've been so good not ordering it" to "what have I done, now it's gone forever" so fast hahaha! I held out for a little bit but I've got three colors on their way to me, and I can't wait
Hey there “cowgirl”. Talk about snow did you see the Browns game last night? 😮 Now that’s snow! I live just south of Cleveland but didn’t get the lake effect. I love getting caught up in colors. Was at Joanne’s and made a Gramma’s dishcloth from Sugar’n Cream Mistletoe (green, white, red). So many fun projects!
Felici is one of my favorites. You could use that extra ball to make a pair of matching Everything November Mitts (pattern on Ravelry). Great pattern for self striping yarn 😊
Today it is snowing here….ugh!! Glad to hear you like the red cord ChiaoGoo knitting needles- I just bought 2 pairs and they come today!!!! Both US 1 1-9”circular and 1-32” circular!!!! Hoping to start socks tonight- never knitted socks before, everyone says it’s easy.. ohh and I also bought cow and sheep stoppers that are so cute!!! Good Luck with your appointment!!!
Temps have finally dipped here to the 50s but I cant wait to go back home for Christmas (Europe) because they just got some snow there according to my mom and I could use the sight of fallen snow!! It's hard to be motivated for hot cocoa in South Carolina when I know Thanksgiving will be 75!! I'm always in awe of your speed at knitting socks. My husband's socks require 72 stitsches and he loves a 80 rounds socks...takes forever lol! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I decided to do the kfb increases also! I too dislike m1, and I saw Sara say it recently! That and the cast on adjustment makes the hat an even more enjoyable knit! Thank you for showing the Felici! It looks way prettier than the website pics🤩💛
We got a tiny bit of snow in Virginia yesterday evening. I was really hoping for a good amount but it melted super fast. I too placed a Knit Picks order, got all the same colors you did except Lisa was sold out, I got Frankie instead. It’s on its way and I’m so excited. I thought “Buddy” had white also, oh well I’m still going to knit it 😂 I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Morning, Kayla! Sipping coffee now and watching the rest of this episode! I saw Wicked last night and now feeling inspired to make some Wicked inspired socks ❤
I've been knitting on new socks lately and have THOROUGHLY enjoyed your Heel Toe Do Si Do pattern! I was super nervous to try because I've never really been a pattern knitter but I love!!!!
I’ve been knitting all the Christmas socks. (By Christmas, I mean red and green Christmas color way socks). My mom requested a pair. And she said she wants them now so she can wear them. I’m also done with hers. I’ve already started wearing mine from this year and last 😂
Kayla, I say go with the striped. Can't wait to see them. We have snow here today. It's been too warm to accumulate, but it's windy and cold today. A good day to stay inside and knit socks!
Omg, I was so happy that they brought Felici back... I may have ordered at least 1 of each colour (except 1 that was out of stock) and possibly 2 of some of them, lol....! It made me so happy!
I have a tutorial for how I weave in my ends, it can be found on the tutorial playlist. It’s how I do them on very project. I just drop the yarn and start with the new, don’t do anything special 🙂
I ordered 8 of the Felici color ways because you always talk so highly of the yarn. I’m excited to cast the first one on as soon as I finish the socks I’m currently knitting.
Cast on the stripes. So cute. Hahahaha; our daughter loves cows too!; hahahaha. The Felici "Lisa" made me think of sherbet. Happy Thanksgiving and thanking God for His Blessings.
Open up the package of the KP needles and check out the cable. They now have the same type of cable as Chiaogoo and I think they have been upgrading all their sets with the new cables.
I was THRILLED to see Felici is back and the snow yesterday was so beautiful, it totally made my whole day when I opened the blinds yesterday morning and saw the back yard was blanketed in it. Happy Thanksgiving, Kayla!
Love all your projects finished and in progress. I have made several Musselburgh hats, I always do the knit front and back increases and they have worked great on my hats. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁🍽
Can you imagine that there is still no snow in Montréal, Canada! And my family-in-law in Paris, France, had a "snow storm" this week! Unbelievable!😂😂 Thanks for this episode!
I hope you do at least a few Vlogmas this year. Last year was my first time to experience it and I did not know about the advent calendars for knitting!!! My Twice Sheared Sheep box has arrived and I’m so excited. I enjoyed watching your videos last Christmas! Have a happy snow day ❤ ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ ⛄️
I won’t be doing any Vlogmas videos this year. I have 8 years worth of them (think it’s that many) that can all be found here on my youtube channel. This December I’m going to spend the month relaxing and enjoying my kids and family and not worrying about recording and editing the vlogs. ❤️❤️

I love knitting while watching your videos! It’s like knitting with a friend 😊

Watching this with a cup of tea, knitting my very first Musselburgh hat, while it’s wet snowing here in the Netherlands 😊

Your Musselburgh scrappy hat is too cute! Happy Thanksgiving ❤
Ohhh I'd start with Christmas with my Gnomies! How gorgeous 😍
I've been knitting on new socks lately and have THOROUGHLY enjoyed your Heel Toe Do Si Do pattern! I was super nervous to try because I've never really been a pattern knitter but I love!!!!
I loved the way you did the Musselbourgh hat. Now I think it is time I try it. Thank you so much. Love you videos. It like being with a friend. ❤❤❤
Christmas with my gnomies is gorgeous, that would be my choice to cast on. ❤
I’ve been knitting all the Christmas socks. (By Christmas, I mean red and green Christmas color way socks). My mom requested a pair. And she said she wants them now so she can wear them. I’m also done with hers. I’ve already started wearing mine from this year and last 😂

Love the scrappy Musselburgh hat! I'm making my first one and I'm loving it! I think you should do Christmas with my Gnomies.
Great video could you do a video on how you start and end new yarn and also weave in all your yarn in the scrappy projects?
I have a tutorial for how I weave in my ends, it can be found on the tutorial playlist. It’s how I do them on very project. I just drop the yarn and start with the new, don’t do anything special 🙂
@@CrazySockLady okay i'll check out your tutorial. Thank you. So when you start a new yarn you don't twist the yarn or anything of that nature?
I am itching to get some Christmas sock yarn and cast something on too. UGH Been watching the Etsy shops to see what my options are.
I’m enjoying alternating among dishcloths, hats, knitted knockers and socks for gifting. I’d love to see you knit the Christmas striped socks.
I ordered 8 of the Felici color ways because you always talk so highly of the yarn. I’m excited to cast the first one on as soon as I finish the socks I’m currently knitting.
I hope you love it! 🧶 🧦
thank you, Kayla, for a great podcast. Everything is so beautiful. Have a happy thanksgiving and happy knitting to you. Love, hugs, prayers
Lovely new yarns ❤
My LYS carried Christmas with my gnomes. It knits up very nicely
I’m in southern Wisconsin, we had snow and wind yesterday morning but warmed up and turned to slush. Pretty disappointing 😊
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Love the yarn!!😊
Cast on the stripes. So cute. Hahahaha; our daughter loves cows too!; hahahaha. The Felici "Lisa" made me think of sherbet. Happy Thanksgiving and thanking God for His Blessings.
Open up the package of the KP needles and check out the cable. They now have the same type of cable as Chiaogoo and I think they have been upgrading all their sets with the new cables.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Kayla!
I’ve bought a 100g skein of Regia undyed sock yarn off Amazon before 😊
Very Froggy Christmas 😍😍😍
I love the blanket. So pretty.❤️
Oh that turned out amazing ❤
I was so happy to see Felici back in stock and seeing you show the colors I’m ordering
Start the Christmas with my Gnomies! So pretty!!!!
I was THRILLED to see Felici is back and the snow yesterday was so beautiful, it totally made my whole day when I opened the blinds yesterday morning and saw the back yard was blanketed in it. Happy Thanksgiving, Kayla!
I did a Mussleburgh on magic loop and did not love it, but I’m gonna try one on 16” I think it will go smoother. I love the new one you started.
Wishing you and your family a very blessed thanksgiving
Love all your projects finished and in progress. I have made several Musselburgh hats, I always do the knit front and back increases and they have worked great on my hats. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁🍽
For the frog yarn you could do the red and green as rainbow connections and the white for heels toes and cuffs. That would be so pretty 😍
Ohh that would be so much fun! 😍
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! 💜
I'm so excited Felici is back! I love that yarn! Happy Thanksgiving Kay!
Yippee!! I didn't know Felici was back! I paused the podcast and promptly placed an order!😊 Happy Thanksgiving!🍂🦃
The gnomie socks! So great!
Can you imagine that there is still no snow in Montréal, Canada! And my family-in-law in Paris, France, had a "snow storm" this week! Unbelievable!😂😂 Thanks for this episode!

I won’t be doing any Vlogmas videos this year. I have 8 years worth of them (think it’s that many) that can all be found here on my youtube channel. This December I’m going to spend the month relaxing and enjoying my kids and family and not worrying about recording and editing the vlogs. ❤️❤️
I am working on a neon green Musselburgh hat for my husband. Thanks for the cast on tip it worked out great.
Christmas with my Gnomies first please xx definitely going to do my next Musselborough with kfb instead of the pesky M1 stitches! Yours looks great! X
Cast on a very froggy Christmas 😍😍😍
