Had a very enjoyable start to my day watching this lovely shopcast. Corrine, I love your socks. That 3 st garter on either side of the heel flap is so good. I’ll be trying that next. Maggie your green socks are so pretty. Love the Natalie cowl Emma. I think you should design the Marmee March socks next. Kelsey gave some great travel tips. Thank you! 💜

Thank you for the shipping relief. It is unusual in these times to encounter a business that is so interested in its customers. I bet your business will benefit with greater customer loyalty. I knit a bunch of socks last year and gave 12 pair out to siblings, nieces and nephews at Thanksgiving. It was so fun seeing who picked which socks! Great travel tips Kelsey! Do you have any must bring tools? Emma, the Natalie cowl is beautiful! Great stretches from Kim too.

Thank you for reducing shipping, it truly makes a difference for me. Your shop casts are so fun, and entertaining, and informative, thank you. Im 77 learning more about sheep and the gorgeous fabric wool makes. My old mom was born 1906 in Vienna taught me knitting, and knit beautiful Cowichan sweaters for us in the seventies. Im half way through the Balvonie, loving the feel of the yarn. Knitting is my therapy❤

I’m a lurker, but watch every video you post. Thanks so much for the break on shipping! Muchly appreciated. That actually has been a factor, so my basket may just get pushed thru soon! I also really love seeing your knits worn and described. You do such a great job talking about the yarn - what it feels like in the ball, what it feels like to knit and how it wears. Very valuable info.

I’ve done a fair amount of traveling with my knitting. A few other tips - if you’re concerned about confiscation of your needles, take interchangeables. Unscrew the tips and put them with your pens. Also when I’m spending the day sightseeing, I don’t have the energy for anything that requires me to read a chart! I’ll bring a shawl, cowl, or sweater that requires no brain power but has yarn that I love working with. And I use KnitCompanion so I don’t have paper that I could lose. I did love the suggestion of knitting piecework - that would be perfect!

Hi Corinne, hi Maggie, hi to the rest of the crew! It really says something about your integrity and your devotion to your customers if you lower shipping costs in a time where prices just go up and up. I'm sure it will be a relief to both loyal and new customers!
I'm over here in the middle of Europe, and to be entirely honest it doesn't make much sense for your beautiful wools to make the trip across the pond twice, so I just enjoy whatever lovely online content you come up with, and I point my US friends on Ravelry your way very frequently :) My taste in wool is exactly like yours, I'm also Team Colourwork and Team "Will wear Rauma next to skin", and I'm knitting on a long cardigan in their 3ply Strikkegarn right now - the Dancing Dragons Coat by Heike Campbell, whew...
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Kim this time - her routine was accessible to me, yay! I have hypermobility issues and often have to skip the regular stretching and yoga... I had lots of fun and loved both the beat and the whole 80s vibe! It's so important for people with a sedentary hobby like knitting to not forget to MOVE :D Immediately skipped back to replay to get a full 20 minute workout, and held dumbbells in my hands for the second half to add some oomph. Would absolutely LOVE to see more cardio with Kim, for some reason it's so much easier for me to get into it at the end of a knitting podcast than to have to come up with the discipline to look up an aerobics video right away, haha!
Very warm (and slightly out of breath) greetings,
    Kari from Germany

You know that this will enable my woolly wool addiction. But never mind. Safe travels, Kelsey. BTV airport is very user friendly, great restaurant there. Can’t wait for the Natalie cowl for one never can have enough gorgeous warmth around one’s neck. Ballachulish Beanie!!! Love Ballachulish - bit of a story… Sad to hear that the ferry is gone. Great news on the shipping, thank you. I paid particularly close attention to the travel knitting segment and am grateful for the tips. While I use a knitting app to mark up and follow my patterns, I learned to download a pdf or photo of the pattern on my phone for remote areas that have limited service. I would also add that seeking local “souvenir yarn” is a good excuse to visit the local LYS as you travel.

Thank you for this lovely chit chat shop cast! I do love all the catch-ups on your WIPs and FOs, all the shop updates and the ladies with included additional content. This time, I loved the discussion about laundering the woollies! I live where we can hike in the mountains during the summer and Death Valley or other close low-land Valleys during the winter. We have thick woolly socks we wear all year long. They wear better in general, but also I can attest to the temperature regulating qualities of the thick woolly socks. They are much more comfortable than polyester or even cotton socks. Even for just around the house during the summer, I always wear the thick woolly socks. I save up all our woolly socks in a basket system based on how often they have been worn and those ready for a spa treatment in Euclan. After wearing, they do get aired outside before wearing again. We live in the Mojave desert, so even thick woollys air out and dry fast!

Enjoyable shopcast as always! I fly with knitting a lot, both domestic and international, and have only had needles taken once on an international flight (although it wasn't a prohibited item according to the airport's website). Usually major airports will list their prohibited items. Always check before you go to know if you will have to put your needles in the checked luggage.

An interesting discussion about washing wool garments. I personally use the spin cycle of my washing machine after carefully hand washing woollens, with no problems. I also like to take hand knitted wool socks on holidays because they be worn a few times without getting smelly and then can be easily hand washed in a hotel bathroom handbasin.
