Lovely to see you again , Thank you for taking the time to record. that little box would be loaded up with ✂️ 🪡 crochet hook stitchmarkers tape measure, button ,labels .Have a lovely time in The big smoke. Happy yarn purchasing enjoy.
Definitely a crochet hook, that would be number one! Plus all the usual things, like tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers, a needle gauge, a spare set of needles when travelling in case you lose or break one😊
Love the Notions Nook! Need snips, darning needle, light bulb markers, progress keepers, stitch markers, mini nail file, t-pin and rubber, cords, cable needle … and lots of other things as will fit1. Great take-along.
Hi Nancy thank you for keeping me company today while I had my morning coffee, what a wonderful notions box in my box I would have ✂️ scissors stitch markers, progress keepers, barber cord, darning needle, tape measure, life line, stitch fixer, row counter, stitch stoppers, cable needle.
I'm so glad to have a visit with you today, or tomorrow, or yesterday...lol! It's still Sunday here 🤓😆 I definitely need to tweak my notions content to include some of those
Another fantastic episode. Love all your sock patterns especially Put a little Love in your heart. I have made the simple thing shawl and love it. I would put most of the same items you mentioned into the notions box but would also include a small nail file and hand balm.
Hope you are enjoying KnitCity! Seeing all the videos on Instagram, it must be "fibre heaven"!!! My must have notions are progress keepers, stitch markers, row counter, a measuring tape, farming needles and a small cable needle.
What a great addition the Notion Nook would be to a project bag. Everything you mentioned to store inside would be so convenient to have on hand when working on a project. I wonder if a small cable needle and a small crochet hook would fit. Thanks Nancy for a great podcast as always.
Thanks for spending some time with me Cynthia 💕 A cable needle would be a great idea to use as a stitch fixer. I've seen those mini crochet hooks on TH-cam, but I've never seen them in person 🤔
The notion box looks fabulous! Everything! Everything needs to go in it. The one unusual thing I would include is a couple of emergency Chocolates. You know, in case of frustrations. Lol
Using the smaller size knitting needle for the feed yarn side is brilliant!!! Your socks are always so pretty and perfect! Notion Nook box is very useful... I would have my scissors, handi tool for picking up dropped stitches, a Snag Nab It, I always seem to need it, size 28 tapestry needles for cross stitch, magnetic cables, needle threader, stitch markers, reading glasses & maybe a couple Dove chocolates! I love your knitting project bags, they are so pretty! I purchased my first one ever, I will be putting my first sock WIP in it!!! Tour de Fleece sounds like a fun event!!!
What a cool organizer for knitting notions. I would have my various stitch markers- circular, opening markers, progress keepers, darning needle, dental floss, barber cords, row counter, yarn snips, tape measure, sticky note and a little pen in it.
All the essentials Darlene 🤓 I had to add the interchangeable tool to my Nook as well. I've gotten some great ideas from all the suggestions! Happy knitting 🧶
Hi Nancy, if I received the Notion Nook, I would put in all the notions that float around the bottom of my favourite project bag, and then I could find them!!!!!!
The notions container would be fabulous to travel with. Must haves for me include lightbulb markers, darning needle, cute progress keepers and a small tin or tube of hand cream.
Thank you for a grate podcast and sharing the love by offering to one of us this practical nook. Of course, there would be stitch markers, a ton of light bulb markers ( need those for socks and sleeves) tiny scissors, a key or two for interchangeable needles, a tape mesure, a tiny pen and a tiny hook. I'm sure I would think of something else while organizing it. Have a wonderful time in Toronto
Hi Nancy must haves would be stich markers , darning needle , measuring tape , scissors, light bulb markers , and yarn stoppers . As usual you are so much fun to hang out and knit with ❤️ I love your patterns and colours and yarn you choose Deborah’s yarn marl is so nice and the suri silk alpaca oh oh oh. Enjoy knit city TO and cant wait to hear all about it!! Have fun 💕🍷
Love the Notion Nook! So handy to have everything in one spot. I would keep stitch markers in different sizes, a darning needle, cords, needle stoppers, a pen and a tape measure. I would probably add a couple of bandaids as I sometimes stab my finger with a needle! Thank you Nancy!
I would put all the usual notions but also add some washi tape in my notion nook. Thanks for a great gift away and podcast. I hope you enjoyed your weekend a Knit City Toronto.
What a cool notions box! If i had one, i would put in all the items you mentioned, plus cable needles, stitch holders and point protectors. I would also have an emery board and fingernail clippers because i cant stand it if there is an uneven spot on the skin of my fingers! Have a GREAT time at Knit City!
Hi Nancy, my must haves would be a darning needle, stitch markers, scissors, tape measure, clips (to hold fabrics together to stop them moving when sewing them) and a couple of sweets or wrapped chocolates! x
I sure need a pencil and note paper, stitch markers, tape measure, darning needle, little scissors, needle stoppers, emery board. And ear rings. You always need to change up your ear rings from time to time! Thanks Nancy.
Haha Carolyn...that's the first vote for earrings, but it would have been handy. I left all my jewelry at home when I went to Toronto. I felt naked without earrings 🤓
In a notion keeper, I would have stitch markers, progress keeper, tape measure, scissors, darning needle, stitch holder, stitch fixer, try on cords, and probably some other things I can’t think of right now.
Ahhh Nancy I miss you!! Wishing you and Deb THE BEST experience at Knit City YYZ!! Your designs and samples are absolutely stunning. I think a Ranunculus is hopping on my needles after watching this with the smaller feeder needle!!??? Oh my heavens - taking that tip and running with it. Thank you. I loved seeing the Shediac and Bouchtouche footage from your camera's perspective. That Sunday Fbre Co arc-en-ciel would make incredible Dune Grass socks. My notions kit must have items include: an eraser, the heart grip needle changer for the Chiagoos, and about 30,000 stitch markers. Take care! See you at the end of May!
Thanks Leanne 🥰 Can't wait tonsee your Moncton episode. The arc en ciel came back home from Toronto still in cake format 🤓 And never enough stitch markers 😂 Hope we'll see you this week.
What a neat notions box! I'd have to have stitch markers, needle stoppers, darning needle, tape measure, small cable needle, barber cords, small scissors, dental floss for a lifeline, ChapStick, and a small tin of hand balm! Basically, everything you put in there and a few extras! Always enjoy your podcasts and patterns!! 🙂
Ahhh... I'm always smiling during and after your video casts! Oh, the sock colors, the Ranunculus, spinning. Joy! In my notions container I always have stitch markers, coil-less safety pins, stitch stoppers, a small measuring tape, small emory board, hand salve, a stitch fixer (4" tool with crochet hook on one end and pointed end on the other,) tapestry needle, and a small amount of crochet cotton for putting stitches on hold. If a tiny scissors or needle gauge fit, I like to include these. Enjoy a glorious trip!
Love the notion nook. I would keep all the usual (stitch markers, scissors, darning needle, tape measure) but it would also hold the lovely row counter that my beautiful daughter made for me 😍Love your podcasts
My must have notions are a tapestry needle, scissors, tape measure, stitch markers, a short crochet hook and a row counter. Cute idea for a notions container!
Hi Honey, must haves in the notion box, light bulb markers. Darning Needle, wool cutter, tape measure, plasters (don't ask), and crochet hook. ❤ Love your podcasts, your knitwear is superb!
Thx for your lovely gift-a-ways. If I could win the notions keeper I would store tiny scissors, darning needle, Light bulb markers, jump-ring stitch markers, small fix-it crochet hook, Small measure tape, small Emory board, stitch holders, and barber cords. Thanks to for all the info and enjoyment I get from your podcast. ❤️❤️
I love the notions nook and would fill it with stitch markers, scissors, a measuring taping, needle stoppers, barber cord and small crochet hooks in case I drop stitches in my knitting.
Nancy, I always love your podcasts! It makes me happy to knit along while you share. I am SO envious that you are getting to go to Knit City Toronto! Spurge and enjoy!! I have knit with Louie and Lola, and it's lovely! And, Hadestown is excellent! How fun to meet Leanne in person!! You must have had so much to share. I love that cute notions nook! I would try to get in a measuring tape, several different stitch markers, scissors, a needle adapter for the Chaio Goo's, needle stoppers, a darning needle and thread, and perhaps a small pencil and notepad. Think all that will fit? Finally, I am SO glad you got all the issues resolved with your business equipment!! (You were not whining.) I look forward to seeing your adventures at Knit City!!
Thank you so much!! It was so great to meet Leanne in person and know that she's exactly the same as she is on her podcast 🤓 I think it would all fit in the Nook because they are all great suggestions ❣️ Happy knitting and I'll see you soon 🧶
Happy Mother’s Day Nancy! I totally agree with you- the Ranunculus is an amazing pattern and I love them all. I love the notions nook - I’m always digging in my notions pouch and the nook will keep things so organized. Must haves - measuring tape, scissors, stitch markers, progress keepers…..
❤❤perfect moms day watching🎉🎉🎉 Enjoyed it so much Nancy,,,lots of socks!!! 🧦 Wow love the patterns!!! The notions container is 👍 great,,,,! I would definitely keep light bulb stitch markers ,, ✂️ scissors,,,darning needle,,,, Have fun at knit city,,,, And ur holiday,,, ELAINE 🏠💗
Happy Mother’s Day ! I would put all my beautiful stitch markers , tape measure, scissors and some Advil for the neck pain after hours of non stop knitting lol!
That is a perfect little notions kit! Along with everything you have shown, I'd also include a small needle/stitch gauge. I hope I get to see you at KCT!!! ❤
Some absolute must in my “leaving-home-project-bag” Scissor, measuring tape, stitch markers in different colours, tapestry needles in different sizes, progress markers, at least one thin crochet hook and one short extra needle if for some reason needed. 🫣😱🤪 Am a taxi driver who knits in the gaps between customers, so that “box” would make my packing for work soooo much easier. Hugs from Titti in Sweden
Thoroughly enjoyed this episode! I would not have thought about adding tubing to the Notions Nook - great idea. In addition to your notions, I'd try to fit in one of the mini crochet hooks for repairs.
Thanks for taking the time to film this after a busy day at work…..it is like knitting with a friend! The notions container is such a great idea -much more organized than throwing everything into a little pouch. I would also include tape measure, scissors, stitch markers and a key in case my needle tip loosens from the cord. Have a fabulous time in Toronto and hope you have time to squeeze in some more theatre!🎭
I love to come and talk all things yarn and knitting...it's like hanging out with friends for me too 😎 I had to add an interchangeable key to my organizer as well 🤓
Hi 👋 Thank you for sharing your knitting with us !😊 I love knitting socks 🧦 too. I watch your podcast for .the first time and I’m liking every part of it. Thanks to Amanda from Sweet skein’O mine whom presented you in her last podcast . I would put a measuring meter, progress keeper, scissor, row counter ring, darning needle and stitch marker for sure in this lovely Notion Nook. Aurevoir ❤
Amanda is lovely!! It was a lot of fun hanging out with her and chatting 🤓 Thanks for spending some time with me Gina and I hope you'll come back for another visit
All that you mentioned plus an emery board for when you have to file your nail to keep from catching on the yarn plus a crochet hook. Have so much fun in Toronto and area!!!
My definite must haves for the Notion Nook would be stitch markers, tape measure, mini scissors, darning needles, my small crochet hook repair tools, the “key” for my interchangeable needles as well as some stoppers and some try-on cords.
Holy cow, it has a magnet!!! So cool! So the one item that I would put in my notion nook that I never have with me when I'm out and about is an interchangeable needles tightening tool! I tried tossing one in with my stitch markers and somehow it always gets lost🤦🏻♀️ There would definitely be stitch markers, a darning needle, a measuring tape, a cable needle, some barber cord, a pair of snips, a rubber band, needle stoppers, and of course the interchangeables tool that I never can find and it would have its own little space ❤
The magnet is so satisfying 🤓 The interchangeable tool got put in mine as well. And the elastic band is a great idea 💡 Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
The notions nook is very clever. I would put all of the things in it that you did, as well as a small crochet hook for picking up dropped stitches. I have never once knit something that I didn't drop a stitch! The latest Ranunculus is lovely. I have still to knit one, but will...someday. 😊
Hi Nancy. Great episode today. I can't be without my fix-it tool that has a small crochet hook at one end and a needle tip shape at the other end! Use them constantly for picking up dropped stitches or even as a cable needle in a pinch. Love them!
Happy Mother's Day Nancy. In the notion nook, I need the tapestry needles in there with my row counter and tape measure, I think you covered all that. I hope you have a wonderful time at Knit City Toronto and looking forward to a full recap of all the shenanigans. More musicals! Thanks for sharing all the goodies, your socks are amazing.
Ooooh….my daughter and I have been eyeing up the Notions Nook. I’d fill it with stitch markers, progress keepers and stitch stoppers. I would also add a small piece of an emery board - I often pull it out to smooth a rough fingernail. Have fun at Knit City!
My "must have" notion is a thick rubber band that is found with a bunch of broccoli. This is what I use to tighten/loosen my interchangeable needle tips 😊
The Notions box looks like a great one. I would put every little thing in there including little bits of paper I need when I write notes for myself and pin them to my knits. Since I never win, I expect to be ordering it in the future. Have a great time in Ontario!
Hi Nancy! Glad you had a sort of birthday. Better than none at all. I'm sure you'll make up for it during your stay in Ontario. I put the same items in my notion holders as you, but I would add a button and some spring loaded toggles. You know the ones that are on coats to cinch in the waist? I use those on the try-on tubing instead of tying the ends into a knot. Sometimes the knit releases and I don't like the surprise that can cause. The plastic toggles hold the ends securely. I also use them on the tips of my needles to hold the stitches in place. They're available in a variety of sizes so I can use them on all different sizes of needles with confidence that my stitches won't go wandering.
Another great episode with amazing new sock patterns! I would load the Notions Nook with stitch markers, scissors, tape measure, row counter, barber cord, darning needle and a bit of waste yarn for sleeves. Enjoy your time in Toronto Nancy! 💓
Very eager for your Sweater Mods episode!!! When you talk about moving stitches from the back to the front at the sleeve separation, please help with determining how many stitches to move.
Darning needle is first in there as I darn as a go when doing colour work. Light bulb stitch markers to keep track of rows, tape measure, crochet hooks to fix my mistakes, needle stoppers, cable needle, my little yarn cutter, extra cables for interchangeable needles, try on cord, and perhaps a couple Excedrine to ease the headache when I have to "knit backwards".
What a great idea - the notion nook. I always need stitch markers (round and removable), needle point tips, a darning needle (or 2), a measuring tape, snips, and probably more. I'm making a notions kit for my niece who just started knitting, so this would be a great present for her.
Oh my Nancy!!! So many beautiful socks, and you still are casting on more😮I can’t wait to see them and meet you in person too. Have to say the second notebook is my favourite 🤪 I would add an Emory board to the notions case, the small travel size you usually get at hotels. Nothing worse then a nail snagging on yarn. Cheers, safe travels, and 💓
Another lovely episode. You’ve been super busy. I was very busy fan-girling over you and your knitting companions - I wouldn’t have got much knitting done either. Fabulous notions nook - I’d have to have darning and regular needles, stitch markers, progress keepers, silicone cables, tape measure, chewing gum, and needle stoppers. Thanks for the fun episode and opportunity. Cheers!
The notions organizer is such a great idea. I would include a darning needle, scissors, tape measure, stitch markers, progress keepers, light bulb stitch markers and my new favourite - stitch stoppers. I like how they add such fun to a project. Enjoy your time in Kitchener (I live in the little town of St. Jacobs which is just outside of KW)
I agree about the stitch stoppers...useful and they make me smile. I love St Jacob's and used to go there a lot in my teens and twenties, but my last few trips I haven't had the time. Fingers crossed for next time ❣️
My notions nook must have a removable stitch marker! Essential for holding a dropped stitch or marking where my progress is when matching row counts on sleeves or socks! 😊
Love the Notion Nook Nancy, as well as all you have shown in your Notion Nook I would include a small hand cream, our hands certainly get dry when we are crafting. 🙃
Safe travels and have fun at Knit city. Love the heart rainbow socks! Always love a new notions box! Must have in mine are tape measure, progress keepers and lots of stitch markers! The only way I can keep my knitting on point is with stitch markers! I also keep the pins for interchangeable needles and a thick rubber band to tighten the needles. So enjoyed spending Sunday with you. Happy Mother’s Day!💗💗🧶🧶
Hey, can I have little pouches of wine in my notions pouch? lol for like moral support if your stuck somewhere ! Each pouch would be like half a glass lol my notions won’t mind hiding in the corners of my project bag! Great sock parade!
Love your vlog. I would use the notions box for small size needle stoppers, tiny scissors, light bulb stitch markers, darning needle, barber cord, tiny lotion pouches ( from Happy Hand Store) mini emery board. Yeah, all the things in one convenient case!
Must haves - light bulb stitch markers, needle, small scissors, small crochet hook for dropped stitches, tape measure
Yes, yes, yes!!! Thanks for hanging out with me Jackie 💕

Thanks Sarah❣️ I need to snag one of those small crochet hook/fixit tools for mine 🤓

Scissors, measuring tape, light bulb stitch markers, darning needles, crochet hook, eye drops.
Yes❣️❣️ Except for the eye drops 🤓 I have a weird thing about eye drops...I hate them 😬
Must haves, light bulb markers, scissors, tape measure and a darning needle.
I love your ranunculus. It is a beautiful blend of colours. ❤
Thanks Laurie...it's got an opal kind of feeling to me, the way that the yarns worked together. Happy knitting 🧶
Must haves: stitch markers, needle stoppers, small snips, measuring tape, and tapestry needles!
Yes, yes, yes!!! Thanks for hanging out with me 💕
Great little container. Scissors and needle for sure. Then all the " things" needed for the project in the bag. Have a great time in The Big Smoke.

The notion box looks fabulous! Everything! Everything needs to go in it. The one unusual thing I would include is a couple of emergency Chocolates. You know, in case of frustrations. Lol
Emergency chocolate is a brilliant idea 💡 Making a bite of that one 🤓
For the notion nook, I’d store stitch markers, progress keepers, tape measure, barber cord, snippet, tapestry needle…
Definitely all the essentials Jan 🤓 Thanks for hanging out with me 💗
Using the smaller size knitting needle for the feed yarn side is brilliant!!! Your socks are always so pretty and perfect! Notion Nook box is very useful... I think it would all fit in the Nook because they are all great suggestions ❣️ Happy knitting and I'll see you soon 🧶
Thanks Beth, to you as well, if you celebrate ❣️ I love that magnetic snap...it's very rewarding 😀
❤❤perfect moms day watching🎉🎉🎉

ELAINE 🏠💗
I'm so glad I could keep you company this afternoon Elaine 🥰 Happy Mother's Day to you 💗
Happy Mother’s Day. I think in addition to all your notions I think I would reserve on of those cubbies for M&Ms 😂
Thank you....I hope you had a great Sunday 💕 Candy!!! You're a star 🌟 😎
Happy Mother’s Day ! I would put all my beautiful stitch markers , tape measure, scissors and some Advil for the neck pain after hours of non stop knitting lol!
Advil!!! Brilliant Kim 💡
Thanks very much Nancy. I'd pop in all the same items as you, plus a darning needle and tape measure....maybe a few mints too
Perfect Emma❣️ Thanks for visiting with me again 💕
I feel like I can never have enough light bulb stitch markers and small sock darning needles. Love the color of this case.
Same here❣️ I don't know where they disappear to 🤓 Happy knitting 🧶
The storage box is great, I would use it for stitch markers, darning needles, cords, stoppers, etc.
Yes...all of those things 😎 Happy knitting 🧶
That is a perfect little notions kit! Along with everything you have shown, I'd also include a small needle/stitch gauge. I hope I get to see you at KCT!!! ❤
I feel like I'm still recovering from Knit City 😆😆
Hi Nancy. That notion nook is really cool. The bare minimum would be stitch markers, a needle and tea bags.
Tea bags is one I haven't seen yet 🤓 I'm loving hearing about everyone's "must haves"
Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
Some absolute must in my “leaving-home-project-bag”
Scissor, measuring tape, stitch markers in different colours, tapestry needles in different sizes, progress markers, at least one thin crochet hook and one short extra needle if for some reason needed.
🫣😱🤪
Am a taxi driver who knits in the gaps between customers, so that “box” would make my packing for work soooo much easier.
Hugs from Titti in Sweden
Oh yes Titti❣️❣️ You definitely need to have everything organized and with you 🤓 Happy knitting in between your customers 🧶
💖💖
Love the notions box. The notions I must have with me are scissors, tape measure, darning needle and stitch markers. Your podcasts are so much fun!!!
Thanks for hanging out with me 💕 Those are all definitely essentials 👌
I would use a Notion Nook to house all of my excellent Fox and Pine stitch stoppers.
Hahaha!!! Absolutely...so many good ones 🤓
Thoroughly enjoyed this episode! I would not have thought about adding tubing to the Notions Nook - great idea. In addition to your notions, I'd try to fit in one of the mini crochet hooks for repairs.
Thanks for spending some time with me 💕 I need to find some of these short hooks that would fit 🤓
I love to come and talk all things yarn and knitting...it's like hanging out with friends for me too 😎
I had to add an interchangeable key to my organizer as well 🤓
Hi Nancy , I will definitely find you at knit city. Looking forward to all the new sock yarns. Safe travels to the Big Smoke.
So lovely to meet you Wendy❣️ I wish we weren't so pooped 😎
Happy Mother’s Day! The notions nook is so cool! I absolutely have to have a ’fix it tool’ in every notions kit! Because, ya know, mistakes!🤦♀️
Thanks Karen 💕 That's a great idea 💡 Definitely need that 🤓
The notion nook looks great for my stitch markers, buttons, darning needle, and barber cord and scissors!
Yes...Definitely all essentials ❣️ Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
Awesome. Mine would hold all the essentials-needle,scissors,tape measure and special stitch markers.
Thanks Lisa❣️ It's such a handy gadget 🤓
All that you mentioned plus an emery board for when you have to file your nail to keep from catching on the yarn plus a crochet hook. Have so much fun in Toronto and area!!!
Those are both great ideas Cathy 💡 I need to find some of those mini crochet hooks❣️
I would pack a tape measure in the notions container! What a great idea
Definitely necessary 🤓 Happy knitting 🧶
That notion nook is fantastic. I’d fill mine with scissors, darning needle, stitch markers, barber cord and needle stoppers. Great episode.
Thanks Crystal...your stuff sounds like my stuff 🤓
My definite must haves for the Notion Nook would be stitch markers, tape measure, mini scissors, darning needles, my small crochet hook repair tools, the “key” for my interchangeable needles as well as some stoppers and some try-on cords.
Yes to all of those Carla!!! I need to find one of those crochet hook fixers 🤓
My most have notions are stitch markers, needle stoppers, scissors, tape measure, pencil, post it. I wish you a good time in Toronto!🩵
All essential bits and bobs Lilian❣️ Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
Hi - that notion nook is brilliant - I’d have a darning needle, tape measure, scissors, stitch markers and an emery board.
Thanks Amanda ❣️ It really is very very handy 🤓 Happy knitting 🧶
Thank you for another great episode! ❤ If I had a notion nook, I would have stitch markers, stitch stoppers, scissors and darning needle 😅
I love coming to have a chat...thank you for being here. Those are all good staples to have in your nook 💡
My must have in the Notion Nook would be pink cupcake needle stoppers. I’m a pink person so most things in the Nook would be a variation of pink.
💗 Perfect 💗 Thanks Donna
Hi Nancy!! I would put in all the basics that everyone is mentioning plus some Werthers hard candy!!😊
Candy 🍬 Brilliant Kay 💡👏 I love Werthers hard candies and caramels
And the elastic band is a great idea 💡
Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
Must haves....scissors.....darning needle.....stitch msrkers ....row markers...thank you Nancy...you are a true Gem needle stoppers....
Oh Sharon...that's so lovely of you to say 🥰 I do love coming for a chat❣️
The notions nook is very clever. I would put all of the things in it that you did, as well as a small crochet hook for picking up dropped stitches. I have never once knit something that I didn't drop a stitch! The latest Ranunculus is lovely. I have still to knit one, but will...someday. 😊
I need to find some of those mini crochet hooks for fixing stitches...they are coming up a lot on peoples wish lists 🤔
Hi Nancy. Great episode today. I can't be without my fix-it tool that has a small crochet hook at one end and a needle tip shape at the other end! Use them constantly for picking up dropped stitches or even as a cable needle in a pinch. Love them!
I need to find one of those fixit tools! I keep hearing about them and it sounds very useful 🤓 Thanks for spending some time with me Sharon 💕
Thank you 😊 to you as well, if you celebrate ❣️
More musicals...yes!!!
Ooooh….my daughter and I have been eyeing up the Notions Nook. I’d fill it with stitch markers, progress keepers and stitch stoppers. I would also add a small piece of an emery board - I often pull it out to smooth a rough fingernail. Have fun at Knit City!
The emery board is a great idea Sandi and definitely useful 🤓 Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
My "must have" notion is a thick rubber band that is found with a bunch of broccoli. This is what I use to tighten/loosen my interchangeable needle tips 😊
Very clever Sandra❣️❣️ I'll be saving that on my next round of broccoli 🤓 Thanks for sharing
The Notions box looks like a great one. I would put every little thing in there including little bits of paper I need when I write notes for myself and pin them to my knits. Since I never win, I expect to be ordering it in the future. Have a great time in Ontario!
You never know Hilda 🤓 Happy knitting 🧶
Must haves-scissors, tape measure, darning needles, stitch markers.
Yes, yes, yes!!! Thanks for playing along 🤓
The toggles are genius Jacquie ❣️❣️ I will definitely be making up for a dodgy April.😂
Another great episode with amazing new sock patterns! I would load the Notions Nook with stitch markers, scissors, tape measure, row counter, barber cord, darning needle and a bit of waste yarn for sleeves. Enjoy your time in Toronto Nancy! 💓
Thank you Jeanette 😊 All essential bits and bobs 🤓
Very eager for your Sweater Mods episode!!! When you talk about moving stitches from the back to the front at the sleeve separation, please help with determining how many stitches to move.
Yay... Louann❣️❣️ I will do that! Thanks for spending some time with me 💗
Darning needle is first in there as I darn as a go when doing colour work.
😂😂 Love the excedrine. Happy knitting with no going backwards 🧶
What a great idea - the notion nook. I always need stitch markers (round and removable), needle point tips, a darning needle (or 2), a measuring tape, snips, and probably more. I'm making a notions kit for my niece who just started knitting, so this would be a great present for her.
What a great gift for a new knitter. Thanks Mara 💗
Cheers, safe travels, and 💓
Yay....thank you❣️❣️ The 2nd one is my favourite as well 😉 An Emory board is a great addition to any knitting bag.
I'll see you later this week 😎
Another lovely episode. You’ve been super busy. I was very busy fan-girling over you and your knitting companions - I wouldn’t have got much knitting done either. Fabulous notions nook - I’d have to have darning and regular needles, stitch markers, progress keepers, silicone cables, tape measure, chewing gum, and needle stoppers. Thanks for the fun episode and opportunity. Cheers!
Thanks for hanging out with me 💕 I'm back from Knit City and hoping things get a little quieter 🤓
What a great container. I would have to have a measuring tape, stitch markers, and a needle. It is awesome!!
Its so handy to have everything fit all in one place!!!
Absolutely Anne 💯 Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
Love the Notion Nook Nancy, as well as all you have shown in your Notion Nook I would include a small hand cream, our hands certainly get dry when we are crafting. 🙃
Good idea Robyn 💡 I need to find a small tube or a solid balm that would fit in it 🤓
Safe travels and have fun at Knit city. Happy Mother’s Day!💗💗🧶🧶
Thank you for the visit 💗 Great list for your notions.... really enjoying hearing everybody's favourites ❣️ Happy Mother's Day to you as well
Are scissors a notion? My absolute must-have! I love the tiny super snips.
I think so! Snips or scissors are a definite ❣️ Happy knitting 🧶
Hey, can I have little pouches of wine in my notions pouch? lol for like moral support if your stuck somewhere ! Each pouch would be like half a glass lol my notions won’t mind hiding in the corners of my project bag! Great sock parade!
Bahaha....I love your thinking 💡 Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
Love your vlog. I would use the notions box for small size needle stoppers, tiny scissors, light bulb stitch markers, darning needle, barber cord, tiny lotion pouches ( from Happy Hand Store) mini emery board. Yeah, all the things in one convenient case!
Thanks for spending some time with me Marina 💕 The hand lotion is a great idea and I'll be checking out Happy Hand Store ✋️
