As a 16 Year old getting trained to be a hibachi cook at work, I watch your videos for tips and tricks, it helps me a lot, it’s always a been a dream of mine to become a cook and it is becoming realistic, I thank you and bless you with a good day❤
Thanks! Love your videos and content! I've been looking all over TH-cam for this kind of cooking. I love how you break it down and give all the little tips that step it up a notch. Keep them coming!
Big update. Traci bought some zucchini, carrots and noodles for this. I made it and it was delicious. Super easy now that you showed me. The other big news is, I bought fork for the grill. SO excited to get it. We love what you are doing Paul. You do a great job presenting the information and you edit it great too. So much love from Washington State. Nice job Brudda
Good to have a recipe for the sauce but honestly I typically use a bottled teriyaki sauce (Yoshida's) and it's pretty good. A food cart near me also has sweet chili sauce, sriracha sauce, and thai peanut sauce available to drizzle over the top of their yakisoba for some extra flavor, so we're now hooked on always having those too when we make it at home. What I really like about this dish is you can add as many extra vegetables as you like and it's a great way to eat more veggies for people like me that are not a big fan of them. I typically add bean sprouts, red bell pepper, chinese pea pods, and cilantro. YMMV.
I stumbled on your channel, I am glad that I did!. Very well presented without being preachy, I can easily see you are an experienced pro.....without the attitude. Great content, and keep them coming!
@@thebackyardhibachi came out really good! I followed your recipe for the yakisoba sauce and it was delicious. Couldn’t find traditional noodles so i improvised with ramen noodles. Used zucchini, carrots, water chestnuts, red and green pepper and smoked pork belly for the meat! If you ever release a cook book i will buy it. Having yakisoba reminded me of when i was stationed in Okinawa.
Awesome episode Paul, I’m going to try to attempt this one on my Blackstone. Yes if you could please do the crispy pork belly recipe 🙏🏼! Cheers Brotha from Cali 👊🏼😎🤙🏼
I got hooked on yakisoba when I lived in Japan. Those Maruchan, pre-made, oil-covered noodles in the bag are the bomb! I can't get them where I live - no Asian markets - crocodile TEARS running down my face! I have to improvise with ramen noodles. Still nice, but just not the same. Ready for a shock? My favorite yakisoba is made with sliced hot dogs. Tonight we are having yakisoba with chopped chicken. Thank you for taking me back...
Was looking for a recipe for these noodles. The first channel the man was on speed. Next your channel. Thank you for calmly explaining the recipe. Love your background view & Lefty’s unite. My Hibachi place unexpectedly shuddered before the pandemic. The owner was from Micronesia and he gave me his Yum Yum recipe. In turn he wanted spicy rice which I did two versions, am really a baker and he said no sweet tooth. My Yum Yum doesn’t taste like his😢. The man really put love into his dishes, cause times he was off the other dude cooking good just not great. It’s 6:30a.m. could eat a dish of this right now. Lovely presentation 👏!
I noticed that your blackstone is seasoned all the way to the edges and corners. For some reason mine is missing seasoning on the corners. Would be great if you made a video showing how you seasoned your grill. Thanks!!!!
Most grocery stores carry those noodles, they're found in the refrigerated section of the produce department. Fortune and Maruchan are the most common brands in the US
The onion and carrot have different cooking times... Do you undercook the onion slightly, or overcook the carrot? My guess is leave the onion slightly raw to avoid mushy carrots. Thanks for sharing!
This can be addressed 3 different ways when stir frying. Cook the ingredients in stages, precook the vegetables with longer cook times or by prepping each ingredient different sizes accordingly.
@thebackyardhibachi yes it can be addressed with different methods. I am commenting on the method you filmed to instruct us. You added both raw ingredients with no other preparation method. My comment is so that when others fail to achieve a proper meal they understand that the instructor failed them and that they have not failed..and should continue to learn.
Can you use another meat with this recipe like chicken or steak thanks. I just started watching your videos yesterday and I’m hooked I can’t wait to start doing my own cooking, keep up the great work peace to you 9:48
When I lived in Japan on Okinawa they would make Yakisoba with Spam. I don't really care for spam (except in those noodles) Would you recommend the pork belly, or bacon or something else?
Fried spam is delicious!! I like pork belly because the noodles have a lot of flavor already. If you lighten up in the sauce, then bacon or spam would be perfect.
Manchuren NAMA Yakisoba noodles are the best, but are now almost impossible to find now. They are making the dry noodle cups in yakisoba which is terrible. I've written the company whom has never responded. Do you have a line on a distributor?
So, in Japan, they use ketchup in their sauce? I’ve always wanted to know the authentic taste. In fact, the noodles set that you use has that authentic taste but I never knew it was ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. I’ll have to try it. Obviously using their packets will give it the correct taste but I’ll have to try it without and see. Thanks.
Almost got a Blackstone 32’ from offerup for a steal but someone got it first. Walmart has it for $297 at my location tho. Just tried this recipe and the sauce with the oister sauce. The ketchup had a higher flavor overall(followed the instructions in order). I personally didn’t like it( it’s eatable tho ) Ill try to do the teriyaki sauce maybe tomorrow. ( I think that’s what fast food around me use)

Thank you, Its pretty wild!!!
I made this today I didn’t make the sauce because found a recommended yakisoba sauce in an Asian market. It was delicious.
Great video, Paul
Another great video. Thank you so much.
Thabk you for this amazing video ❤

1:45 Hey Paul, cant find those noodles anywhere. A few site look sketchy. I'm in Utah any recommendation as to where to oder from ? Thanks Jim
Amazon?! I found these at my local Asian grocery store.
Looks amazing.
Thank you!
Love this channel. Please share the recipe for the crispy pork belly.
dude keep making more vids your a badass on the griddle
really appreciate that, more videos to come!
is there anything to substitute mirin?
sake and sugar
Hey Paul! This looks awesome!! Where can I get the noodles???
Great content Paul. Thank you. I need to practice a lot more. Would love to cater dinner parties.
Thank you!
How do you prevent noodles from sticking to griddle. I’m currently having that issue.
Use plenty of oil and keep the noodles moving
Another great cook . I would like to see you make the crispy pork belly
Looks fantastic as always. Can’t wait to try this one out. What’s your recommendation for oyster sauce is there one you prefer over others??
I really like mega chef brand oyster sauce. It the one in the matte gold bottle.
I noticed that your blackstone is seasoned all the way to the edges and corners. For some reason mine is missing seasoning on the corners. Would be great if you made a video showing how you seasoned your grill. Thanks!!!!
Mine was the same as yours, but after many, many cooks, mine is 100% seasoned. It just takes some time. Good luck 👍
Fry some onions on the edges until they carmelize
Is that a Blackstone? It looks like it has the oil trough on the front like a camp chef.
Just keep on cooking on the griddle and the corners will fill in. Edges and corners are earned!.
One of the many things I miss about Okiinawa
It looks delicious. Where can I buy that kind of noodles? Do they sell it in the USA?
Most Asian grocery stores will have it.
Most grocery stores carry those noodles, they're found in the refrigerated section of the produce department. Fortune and Maruchan are the most common brands in the US
Noodles!!
I have a question can you use other type of meat instead of pork belly?
I was just wondering the same thing. I guess chicken or shrimp for me or mushrooms as a substitute
Definitely! I just had pork belly on hand.
Good videos and great content. I think you need to try the food at the end, and give descriptions, like most food video channels.
I'm an ugly eater, you don't want to see it!

I made a spicy udon on the channel. It’s a Thai and Japanese fusion dish.
Are you a Filipino? Thank you for the recipe.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a whole ass hibachi grill… alternative??
A big skillet on the stove will do the trick.

Ok disregard, the food it’s a bit cold but warm and still taking bits.
Maybe missing a meat side. only did the noodles with the sauce
The sauce is replicating tonkatsu sauce, which is a fruit based.

watching this while eating my maruchan yakisoba

Thanks! I am surprised you said 1 to 1 on soy sauce to Worcestershire sauce... that's a lot of Worcestershire sauce.
Just depends, some call for 3:1 Worcestershire and soy. The aroma from the herbs and spices from the Worcestershire is what where looking for.
3 packages of noodles?
Pork Belly recipe video would be awesome
🇯🇵🥋🔥
Isn't that a Teppan? is this another thing Americans have changed? Hibachi is something different where I'm from.
Yes and yes.
not authentic you make your own yakisoba souce but you put souce in yakisoba package lol
