LaLa is grieving the reality that she was a gold digging mistress and got duped.
Just FYI according to what I have heard-Tom took out a second mortgage on the house for his bar and he wants to buy Ariana out, but she does not think his valuation is fair. She wants to sell and he wants to live there because he thinks he should get to keep the house because he put a gym in, etc. He gave a really gross interview about the house (and other stuff) on Viall files yesterday.
Guaranteed she’s been depositing her half of the bills into the escrow account per her attorneys advice. Also because of the second mortgage and his less than stellar offer she would end up losing out. Her lawyers were smart to tell her to stay to not sell him the house, the house can go for more and she can walk away with more. He believes he deserves everything when he caused this
@@kathyi894I agree completely…I said on another podcast there is no way she is just ignoring bills. I said, like you, she is probably putting her part of all bills in an escrow account and working with lawyer. She is a rule follower!
I would assume if his offer was reasonable Ariana would take it but after she made comments about how he is psycho because he wants to keep it makes me curious of her intentions. Why does she have an issue with him keeping the house? Does she not want him to have it because she is being petty or is the reason financial? If she was over it all she wouldn’t care what he does with the house but in no way shape or form would I ever let him have the house for less than the most I could get for it. Especially after taking out a 2nd for his bar (claiming it wouldn’t affect her equity which was a lie.) My guess is she could get more money by selling and his offer isn’t competitive enough with an outright sale price. Then I can see why she is refusing. She is making moves on the advice of an attorney which is the smartest thing she could do at this point. He claims he offered 3.1 million but if it is worth more by selling it, I wouldn’t accept his offer either.
She said recently, that she is mad about having to sell the house, and why should she be the one to have to move and find a new place to live while he gets to just keep the house that she found, decorated, etc.., (being a homeowner was her idea, she was the first VPR cast member to talk about buying a house, and I remember initially he was opposed to it, and she was like well tough luck. I am buying a house. I think similar to the cocktail book, he just jumped on the train once she had it in motion)
And I understand where she’s coming from. I recently had to move, and it’s super stressful. Not only finding a new place to live, but packing, unpacking, all of that crap. It’s suuuucks.

She's literally the battery in their backs and doesn't keep them accountable, it's bothersome because both Tom's need to grow the F up.

I agree she’s not as hard on the Toms but she holds the girls to an higher standard. I think most people do. Girls by nature are kinder and more understanding but can also be lethal when crossed. But these people are on a reality show so it’s not entirely authentic, is it? It’s a lot of manufactured drama.
I totally agree with you on the Tom Sandoval analysis, and was so disappointed that Dr. Drew said he was not a narcissist when he clearly is.
He just recently did an interview on Nick Vials podcast and you can see has not changed a bit. In fact, he continued to talk down about Ariana and even though he says he’s sorry you can tell he does not need it and feels bad for himself. I’m pretty much only himself .🙄
Dr Drew has SOLD OUT for fame!! A long time ago. He now kisses stars asses?? Period!
The Dr Drew interview on Tom's podcast was great. I believe Dr Drew on his analysis of Tom, i think he has more credibility than this guy.

Lala's putting on the waterworks hard because shes trying to disassociate from her relationship TO Randal not with Randall. Watch from the beginning; that's the only way you're going to get a real assessment.

At least she's finally admitted. She is the mistress that normal people know what the meaning is.. She had an affair with a married man.. Tom and ariana were never married so therefore there are no mistresses involved
@valeriedoyle Raquel was still a mistress figure - in the state of california this is a common law marriage. They have joint assets and have been together longer than some marriages even last.

Actually, Ariana agrees there were problems and they were in couples counseling. She thought he was having a mid life crisis and thought she was helping him work through it and also thought it was normal to have ups and downs and loved him enough to work through it. What she said on podcast. He actually resumed intimacy with her during counseling (while the affair was going on!). Then 1 month later this came out.
Yes. Also, Tom has said multiple times that he was going to therapy with her for the sole purpose of breaking up with her. He then lamented that while going through this charade, Ariana actually took the lessons she learned in couple's therapy to heart and made positive changes, to which Tom said, "Whoever has a relationship with that version of Ariana will be very lucky."
I looove your VPR reviews! Highly recommend you watch the two Toms on Nick Vialls podcast, the dynamic between the Toms, as well as Sandoval’s behaviour are pretty interesting. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!

Yes this! Also she just sued Tom. He wants to buy her out, but at what they paid for the house when they bought it. Should would lose out on 300-700k! I would live with Tom for that money!
Supposedly Ariana hasn’t paid any utilities or mortgage costs etc. for 6-9 months. She just uses the Main Bedroom for storage and to be able to stop in and be controlling whenever she wants.
She is one vengeful 40 year old lol. She can’t get over Tom. She needs to leave him behind as Tom has said and move on. While in NY and traveling she still occupies the main bedroom lol. What a tool imho.

What do you think about Rachel doing a podcast now and changing her narrative that way? I love your recaps and opinions. I think you might enjoy someday going back and watching early episodes of the show to get more context. It is a very unique show with all of the cast being actual friends in real life rather than meeting and becoming friendly due to casting. Super happy again that you are back to covering this.
Watch Tom's interview on The Vial Files.... Nick Viall does a good job, but Tom is so full of BS. He keeps saying he "fucked up", but then blames Arianna talking about she put him down for all of their relationship and he had no self-esteem etc. Yet Rachel recently said on her podcast that Tom was manipulative towards her (Rachel), wanting to control the narrative about their affair during the reunion. So did he have low self-esteem or he is just trying to control the narrative about where his relationship with Arianna went wrong and thereby justify his "losing himself in his emotions" regarding his affair with Rachel?
Can you do more in depth on Scheena? She always seems to make everything about her since the first season! Later in the episode she makes a comment about how she has lost weight cause of the breakup! Am I the only one who thinks that’s RIDICULOUS?!?
Love your channel! It has quickly become one of my favorites! You should go back and binge watch VPR seasons 1 through 10. If you think Tom is a narcissist check out Jax! 😂

I haven't listened to them, but I've read a few articles about some of the stuff she's said regarding Scandoval.
They were only living together post-affair for a couple of months. In California, it’s not as uncommon as you think. Katie and Schwartz lived together for months post-divorce. Bethenny Frankel stayed in the same house with her ex husband for over a year post-divorce!

dude, the Randall thing happened last season. And, she was ride or die for him until that news came out. then she switched up and said otherwise.
Ok, this makes sense. For some reason I had no clue how deep their relationship was.
I get that going back and watching the whole series would be a lot for you, but watching just season 1 and maybe 2 (to see how Tom and Ariana started) would give you some interesting perspective for where this all started and has evolved.
Also, you should look at Arianna through the seasons. It would be really interesting. And, then look at both Tom Schwartz and Katie through the seasons.

Lala is better at reading the room and manipulation than anyone in the show.
Let's not forget this was filmed three months after her vicious behaviour toward Raquel at the reunion. At that time, she didn't like Raquel, she didn't like Tom, and she didn't get along with Ariana... so from the watchers of the show, she got a ton of flack for her unhinged rage at a situation that really didn't involve her.
I believe she knew coming into this season that she, out of all the other friends, was seen as the villain in the situation. She had no right or cause to go at Raquel as hard as she did, so she does what every good producer on the show does. She pivots and does the thing that will garner the best opposite reaction from the reunion; she calls Raquel on camera.
She told us at the beginning what to expect this season, she was going to play the victim and cry all the time... so don't be surprised people... and so we weren't.
She cried in her confessionals. She cried with her mother. She cried with Ariana. She cried with Lisa V.
If a director were to ask what her motivation is for this season, Lala would say, to garner sympathy from the audience and change their perception of her, from rage-filled aggressor to victim.
What better way to do that than cry and own a whole lot of stuff on camera to make people think that in three whole months, you've done a year's worth of intense therapy.
Her reaction is all BS because we've seen how she's gone right back to calling Raquel a babie-eyed bitch and has taken back any empathy she had for what Raquel put herself through.
Like Lisa R, Lala is a master at producing on the show.

As someone who has watched the show from the beginning (I was a server at the time so I thought it was fun to watch people my age doing service work) but now…no one works there and they are starting families etc. I think the show should pivot back to the restaurant and maybe call this show something else. I’m gonna watch it from this channel from now on lol

First, I want to say how much I love Allison and wish she would also do these reactions with you like sister wives. Secondary, you look so much like Jason Statham.
This is kind of educational and interesting to hear. The idea of being on a reality show seems like a nightmare.
Conclusions:
-Raquel (Rachel, whatever her name is) has no reason to return to the show.
- Sandoval'snarcisistic behavior and lack of empathy.
- James is the funny guy (almost the jester, the Doctor did not want to call him, though).
-Lala is backa and forth.
-Scheana is insecure but Brock is the only sane person in the show.
- It's TV, guys.
Tom even said at the reunion that he and James were barely friends. So it’s crazy that James would even want to be friends with Tom but these clowns go where the storyline is…
I didn't like how Lala primed Ariana for the Racquel conversation. It felt similar to how Sandoval tried to explain away why he did what he did. "I don't feel like you really like me." "I feel like you just tolerate me" like..... if you truly want to be closer to Ariana and be a safe space for her, reaching out to the 1 of the 2 puzzle pieces that torpedoed her life probably isnt the way to go about it.
It was just the only way that she could think of to make Scandavol about her. She’s so stuck on herself
Lala is a very complex personality that has grown a lot in last couple of seasons. Watch past shows to see lala’s growth and I would love to hear your take on it.
Love it! Wish you would go back and see Tom and Ariana from the beginning, Tom was not always the way he is now.
Tom and Ariana had a dysfunctional relationship for 9 years, so what makes anyone believe their breakup wouldn't be dysfunctional, too?

I would LOVE to hear your take on Sandoval’s podcast with Dr Drew. Before he went on, Dr. Drew had Tom take his self assessment for narcissism or co-dependency or something. He said Tom scored super low and he said he thinks he’s actually more co-dependent than narcissistic. But something felt off about Dr Drew’s take, and I’d love to hear your thoughts to either confirm or challenge the conclusions I came to in my own head 😂

Lala is trying sooo hard to get the victim edit this year. Jealous of Arianna! She wants a piece of that coin that Arianna made! Difference is Arianna is likeable, Lala isn’t.
Why would she be jealous? Lala does not have a constant need for attention. Lala is not materialistic and is therefore not jealous of the endorsement deals. Lala is a sweet low key kind of gal. She’s downright demure. It’s not like she’s constantly trying to make Scandavol about her

You have a bad read on Lauren "Lala" Kent. She is a rottweiler through and through. She has soft moments but then the real Lala returns. The cast only wanted Rachel back for ratings and to tear strips off her on camera. Bravo (ha) for her to not give in to the $$$ and return.

I can’t blame Scheana for her questioning people’s loyalties. I think it also stems from how steadfast she was in backing Rachel last season when others were questioning her behavior. Scheana was ride or die for that girl and the truth really shook her.
This situation over the home is not new and happens all the time. It can't be helped when your money is involved
PLEASE do an unbiased video about Ariana!!! I feel like the entire internet worships her, and it makes me sick. At the last reunion, she told Andy Cohen that the reason she didn’t think Tom was up to anything was because every time he came home from being out, she’d check his phone and there was never anything on it. And this was during the same time she was trying to freeze embryos with him. Why would you freeze embryos with a man you don’t even trust to go out alone for a few hours unless you were trying to trap him in the relationship? It’s also been established by multiple cast members that before news of the affair broke, Tom tried to break up, and Ariana threatened to un-alive herself. Aren’t trying to trap someone in a relationship with children, and threatening to harm yourself if they break up with you two big signs of emotional abuse? Plus, there’s the moments of blind rage that slip out when she screams at people. She’s actually scary when she’s angry. And there’s the fact that she sent the Raquel videos to her own phone and then allegedly circulated them among the friend group. Even if she didn’t circulate them, the fact that she sent them to herself is so gross. How sick do you have to be to do that?! There’s something seriously wrong with her! I don’t think she deserved to be cheated on, but I also don’t think she deserves the pedestal she’s been put on when a lot of her behaviors and motivations are just as problematic as Tom’s.
I really liked the first episode. I watched your review Jada Pinkett’s book which I found interesting. Only because, when she talks, I have no idea what she’s saying. And hearing the first few minutes of this episode, I’m not sure why a psychologist would waste time with reality television that is completely scripted and drama is always created by the producers. I think we’ve all known this for about 20 years. It perpetuates this ongoing theme of women being portrayed so badly! Reality television is not reality. It’s real people selling their souls for a bit of money and fame whether good or bad.

Brock has a history of domestic violence with his first wife and abandoned his children in Australia to come to the US
They now have no contact orders or he’s not even allowed to try to contact his kids especially after he tried to just not pay child support
Who is Lala
Regarding sheena and brock: he left his kids in Australia to go to us and become famous. No contact or child support. He got with sheena and on the show. Then lala brought up the deadbeat dad thing and only then, did he start to pay child support! He also tried to "steal" James and rachels thunder by getting married at their engagement party. But it failed. Brock is just as bad as tom. And sheena is a pick me girl.
Why are badly behaved people described as narcissists these days? What happened to underhanded, shallow and just plain nasty? We’re all capable of those things, but we’re not all narcissists.
Lala is just staying on brand. Her character is built around being in opposition to the majority (ie supporting James when it wasn’t cool). It’s a savvy way to ensure she’s at the center of conflict which = securing her place as a star on the show. It’s the same thing Scheana tries to do, but Lala is better at making it seem less contrived. 🤷♀️
One of the best descriptions of Lala that I’ve heard. She wasn’t so emotionally mature when she was drinking.
Is it all a scam to get Tom to be the alpha on the show? To make VPR more marketable?
I find it a little off-putting that everyone is acting like Tom cheated on them. Like they're more mad for themselves than they are for Arianna.

I really wish these psychiatrists would actually watch the show before weighing in on someone's psychological profile. Sooooo many out of pocket comments on here, esp regarding Lala. The idea that she has a high level of emotional intelligence is just hilarious.

You have to laugh at the hypocrisy. Lala cheated with Randall before marriage. Arianna cheated with Tom on Kristen, Sheena cheated with a RHOBH castmate husband, Tom cheated on Katy, Jax cheated on everyone. James cheated on Kristen. None of these people are self aware.😅
How can Tom and Ariana have a healthy relationship? They cheated with each other. He was with someone else when he started up with Ariana.

I stopped watching that show several/many years ago. I barely even recognize any of them!
We all saw Ariana for years talk down to Tom, reject him sexually constantly, only wanting sex 3-4 times a year and her Rages. Tom was wrong, no excuses in any form. So if Ariana really wants to move on, she would pay her responsibilities and let Tom buy her out. Like Tom said, Ariana needs to leave me behind; I’m in the past. Move on Ariana.
