Maybe capcom bought low-capacity cartridges because it's less expensive ( it happenned with Lego city undercover )

I really don't get why they couldn't put megaman 1-10 on one cartridge, it's not like they take up that much space.
DeQuillsta it’s because they’re two different products, the first collection is developed by Digital Eclipse, and the second by NOW Production. Now, why they couldn’t just include two cards, I couldn’t tell ya
Raizen Uraneshi is right. The reason for Legacy 1 and 2 not being bundled into one cartridge is because they are two completely different products and because people may have already paid for on or the other already. That way they can buy them separately from the virtual console.
For instance...I have Legacy 1 on my 3DS and if I wouldn't want to pay for it again in order to play Legacy 2 , I can easily download Legacy 2 from the virtual console as a separate product.
I'm still buying this, though. And I'm also baffled because Capcom wouldn't make 1 cartridge for each game as a bundle instead.
Bayonetta 1 and 2, and Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2, should've been 2 cartridges the same as Legacy Collections 1 and 2 should've been 2 cartridges right out of the box...in my opinion.
the reason why was because at the time devs couldn't put 2 games on one cartridge. it probably could fit they just weren't able to at the time. it sucks but at least japan got a physical copy of 2 even if mega man 8's intro music is different.

I really wish for games that have that disclaimer at the top of the boxart, that we had reversible covers to remove that. Ruins so many well designed boxarts.

Blandrew yes, at least have a reversible cover. I'm sure they have to put that there for legal reasons (or at least so they don't have a bunch of pissed customers) since Legacy collection 2 is a download. Of course they also could have just put both collections on the one cartridge.

Yea but that would mean that companies like gamestop would tell they workers to change the boxart to be without the disclamer so people think they are getting the full thing
As someone who only buys cartridge releases. if the whole game isn't available on the cartridge, you lost a sale to me. I will never download to get the complete game. I don't mind updates for bugfixes, but I still want my games to be playable 30 years later just like my NES cartridges still work. I have no problem paying for something I already own on multiple systems, NES, SNES, GC, PS2, 3DS.. but i refuse to put my trust in any company still offering downloads to get a complete game in 10-20 years.
If your switch is still playable after 30 years even your digital games will be still be playable, the whole your screw when the servers go down is a lie, you can create back ups in your pc.
Argh! I really wanted this collection on the switch, however I will buy Legacy Collection 2 on ps4(it even contains 9&10 on the disc) due to this half baked idea (no pun intended) for LC1+2 collection for Switch! They could had easily put LC1 + 2 in 1 game card but NOO!

Idk how much storage these take but each legacy collection should fit on one cart. This is ridiculous.
The first Collection (the one on the gamecard) is 500Mb, the second Collection is 7Gb, they just need a 8Gb gamecard but they prefer to force the players to download 7Gb...
Both of them fit on ONE cart, there's no reason they can't be on a single cart.
And they only need a 8gb cart to fit the two games...

Difford you are one of the reasons, why pseudo retail versions like this sell well. It's not about that Legacy 2 is a "Bonus". They praising it like a doublepack, but you only get 1 collection on card. And you totaly don't get the point about retail, if you still think it's ok to buy retail and need to download anyway. Then we don't need this retail at all. A Full Game on a gamecard avoid that you need more download space on your SD card. And putting the smaller Game on card but we need to download 6GB for the other Game is just a dickmove from Capcom. They want to save money for the card, but puts every retail only buyer into a bad mood.
And this have nothing to do with internet. We all can download, but a download is not the same as having everything on card after buy.

It is sort of weird that the 2nd collection is digital while the 1st is physical. Nintendo and especially CAPCOM should have at least had the second one on a cartridge and packaged it in with the first one. 2 game cards in one box! But it's great that the whole collection is here. Thank you Nintendo and Capcom.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 is finally coming to Nintendo Switch and Mega Man games for NES, Super Nintendo, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance are available on New Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. That means Nintendo Switch Virtual Console is coming later this year and by the way, Mega Man 3 for NES, Mega Man III for Game Boy, Mega Man X3 for Super Nintendo and Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue and White Versions for Game Boy Advance are my favorite Virtual Console games for New Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
