I first saw this collection on steam and I thought it was no more than a cash in from capcom, but looking at this trailer, and all the extras and tweeks it has, I think it totally worth it. Also, I'm not buying it on steam anymore, I'll wait to get my switch to get it, having the whole X collection on the go and bed before sleep is a no brainer!

Put it all on one cartridge/disc. I've learned they'll eventually release another collection so I can wait as long as it takes for Capcom to figure it out. And if they don't, I guess I'm saving some cash then 👌

I can't wait to get home from work and play these. I preloaded the digital versions a week ago. Despite their reputation, I really wanna check out 7 and 8, cuz they're the only ones I hadn't played before, due to not being included on the previous collection on the GameCube.

What also sucks is that if your playing volume 1 and want to play a game from volume 2 you have to close volume 1 open volume 2 when it could've just been ONE volume.
It takes like maybe ten seconds to home menu + select the other Legacy Collection...

Yeah, I understand your point, but it's just one more screen you have to sit through. The boot up time for the legacy collection is short. It's not the biggest deal at all.

Now THIS is how you do a collection. The default type 1 graphic filter is perfect on current 4k and HD T.Vs; even on full screen mode. No over saturation of pixels or jaggies. Capcom and other retro game releases (Hamster I'm looking at you) need to use this filter moving foward. Capcom should patch SF anniversary collection to include it as well. Great job on this collection!
Does this include the ability to watch he other cutscenes of meha man X4 and the other 4 animated cutscenes of mega Man x ma Erick hunter? Because if you don't believe me the part where sigma cuts the cuffs off vile is a scene from one of the other 4 cutscenes of mega Man x Maverick hunter.

Personally I find Megaman X4 to be the pinnacle of the series. It took what made the first three games amazing and polished it into one complete package. It had a beautiful art style, excellent soundtrack, and the smoothest gameplay out of the series. I enjoyed unlocking alternate colors for X and Zero. Having custom parts to choose from that changed your blaster. Boss power ups not only made you stronger but gave you better movement options and ways to access certain areas of the game. I wish it was a little more difficult but besides that X4 is a fantastic game. 1st Collection is way better in quality but I'm still getting both because I'm a huge fan of the X series. I hope if they ever decide to make an X9 they take inspiration from the first 4 titles and build off of that.
I hope Megaman X9 goes back to the roots of 2D graphics with 3D backgrounds, maybe cell shaded to modernize it.

Japan releases 1 and 2 separate. On cartridge. In Japan only. Japan also releases 1 and 2 as a bundle, but 2 is digital only.
So tell me why we don’t have 2 on cartridge in North America? Because clearly they CAN do it.

Awesome game, I can't believe that this on Switch, it shows that Nintendo wants its users to have access to all the Episodes of Mega Man X, but there's a catch. You need to download the 2nd series to play X5 -X8 but it's worth it.

its so bull that these Capcom collections are never getting physical releases over here in the UK. id have loved to have picked these up as physical releases, but as a digital only choice here I don't think I'm gonna bother.

Seikatsu the code for the second collection isn't region free tho and importing costs more money.

As much as I am glad that such a compilation exists not, I can’t help but be disappointed in such glaring omissions in both of them. I mean there’s no Command Mission, no Xtreme 1 and 2, no Maverick Hunter X remake, not even Mega Man: Battle and Chase like in the previous Mega Man X Collection.
And let’s not forget the fact that Capcom’s screwed us Western gamers again by not having the second Legacy Collection in its own separate cartridge like in the Japanese version and not even give us a reversible cover that is from said Japanese version. It’s even more insulting to see the cover art from from collections presented on the thumbnail for this video as well.
Overall, this just isn’t good enough to be much of a true Legacy Collection on the Mega Man X series. Especially one that can be brought on the go.
