1:38 I kind of like how they showcased Fuse Man's fight. Mega Man starts by continuously taking the attack, not being quick enough to dodge it, but slowly gets the pattern and successfully dodges the remaining attacks. Good subtle marketing, Capcom.

The game looks hard as nails, just how I like it. The semi-2D artstyle is very distinct, the music sounds really cool and techno, the time mechanic looks neat... I'm really pleased with the direction this game is going for. :)
As weird as it sounds I almost miss Dr Light's VA from Mega Man 8. It was a terrible performance but unforgettably so.

Unlike the "purists," I always loved the charged shot and slide mechanics. I thought they really added to the experience instead of making it "easier." When they design the game around the idea of the slide, they can do even more crazy platforming hazards. Anyone remember Needle Man's low ceiling and spike trap? That was true pressure.
i agree with you other than in one case: mega man 4. that was the one where they introduced the mega buster, and since they wanted to show it off, they made everything take 3x as much damage as in mega man 3 to keep you constantly using the new feature. but frankly, i find it very annoying having to hear the constant ring of it charging up and holding down the button for the entire game. definitely my least favorite of the 1-8 games.

Even though 4 was the best of the NES titles.
The slide was always cool. The Charge shot had mixed reception due to overpowering the Robot Master Weapons for many, and it wasn't until MegaMan X when they combined the two.
Finally those purists (aka Mega Man 2 fanboys) are being ignored and we're getting a proper sequel. And I agree, Dust Man's trash compactor segment is another case of great level design in regards to the slide and buster.

How would that even work? Mega Man X was the last robot Dr. light made before passing away, not only that, but Dr. wily Died as well! Mega man would probably gone, or broken. Same with Proto man and bass! So it would have to be Not-canon for a Crossover to happen, even then I doubt a crossover.

Seriously Capcom, Resident Evil 7 was a stellar re-imagining of the classic series, Monster Hunter World is your best selling game yet, Street Fighter V Arcade Edition restored lost faith in the original release and now Mega Man 11 looks like tons of fun. I don't know about anyone else, but as far as I'm concerned you've shed your "Crapcom" status and are well on your way to redemption. Keep it up!

At the same time tho, if Capcom didn't leave mega man to chill for a while, they might have started milking the whole series again. They could've really messed up. Glad they waited. This looks good.

This game is looking amazing. The robot master fights look real intense, the action is fast, and even the voice acting is pretty darn good. Hyped for this! Mega Man is BACK!! :D
lets hope they dont pull another excuse to cancel it out of the blue. because that is the very reason why keji inafune gave up on them and left to form his own company in hopes of giving the world what capcom failed to do....... four times in a row.
I'm pretty sure inafune was the reason behind the cancelling, if you've seen how he treated his 'work' that he shat out after three million dollars worth of backing, delaying it to oblivion then pushing out what we now know as mighty no 9, and we know how that turned out.
Any way the game looks pretty much complete, and october isn't that far off. Have some hope in ol Capcom, they know what they're doing.

The voice acting actually seems pretty well balanced and diverse here, especially with the boss fights! Also Mega Man finally sounds like a Man!! And I am very happy for that.
Haha yeah that surprised me, but it's a welcome change. Was never a fan of the squeaky kiddy voice he had before.
I wouldn't worry about the game being suddenly cancelled. As annoyed as I was with Capcom about that in the past, I get that it was because Inafune just suddenly up and left, and it threw the Mega Man department into disarray. I wish they would have picked up the pieces and continued development, but what's done is done. We're getting more Mega Man now, and it's looking great, probably much better than it would have been if Inafune was still on board, too. The Mighty No.9 fiasco proved what a hack he was. Mega Man was never good because of him, it was good because of the rest of the talent working at Capcom, and now it's gonna be better than before if MM11 is any indication.

My wishlist for Mega Man 11:
1-To have more than the standard 12 stages (8 robot master stages and 4 wily stages).
2-More references to old MM enemies, themes, etc.
3-New mod to battle the Stardroids.
4-A better themes with a nostalgic feelings, So far only fuse man theme is great.

This actually looks REALLY good. As a long time fan of the series, I just want this to be good. My guess is that the MMX Legacy collection was released as to gauge interest in a follow up just like MM11 was to the MM Legacy Collection. Hook me up, Capcom!

In an interview they said that one of the reasons they were able to make mega man 11 was because of how well the legacy collections sold so if the x legacy collection sells well we might have a chance of mega man x 9

This looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I haven't been this hyped for a Mega Man game in such a long time. 9 and 10 were pretty awesome, but Capcom has finally NAILED it with this.This is just perfect Mega Man right here. A wonderful updated style that keeps the roots fully intact. Mega Man's look has grown on me too. I wished they had copied the look from Smash Bros, but this works really well.
With these visuals, the little bits of voice acting and the touch of Mega Man changing his appearance when using the abilities, makes me want them to go back and remake all the previous entries using this new style! Don't need the double gear system or anything, just keep the games like they were, but add the visual flair and voices.
