Won anime of the year, and even contested with Arcane for adaptation of the year as well. Didn’t win, but this clearly did well if it was a nominee.

@@sliceoflifeanimeking1496 Honestly, would've loved a sad ending of David being forced to become a construct. Having his memory wiped type of plot and becoming a merc killer following Adam Smasher, and having Lucy break him free with her Netrunner abilities, and after David mastering his abilities, being able to beat Smasher or die trying like this episode where he could die a free man, with the help of Lucy. That would've been a cool season 2. But for a prequel. I'd agree or a prequel of Adam Smasher and his rivals Johnny Silverhand.
I just finished the series for the second time, and it still is as sad as it was the first time. I do love the idea of the sad ending instead of following the good ending tradition... but this sad ending hurts

In the TTRPG of Cyberpunk, Adam Smasher is the stuff of nightmares.
Lucy realized towards the end that her dream going to the moon was just empty, only David was important :( had she realized it soon, Rebecca already knew how much of a treasure David was from the first day they met.
Watching David slip into cyber-psychosis was the second saddest thing to see happen in this show.

basically shes his moon and he is lucy's sun he gave his life for her happiness and safety and the sad part is thats reality if you have a guy that really loves you, it goes beyond words some of us would do it without thinking thats just how us guys are

Life is a love story but it's unfair because some of us struggle to communicate and say how we feel and women take that as you aren't willing to open up, and tho that can be the case it's more often just that we don't want to scare you with all the damage we take going through our lives
Can always tell whom hasnt played the game when it comes down to the surprise that adam kills david. 😂 once i knew adam was a main bad guy, i knew no one was safe. (Cause main bad guy in game, and game takes place after anime)

Yeah, this finale will make you cry, it also made me want to reinstall cyberpunk, make my way back to Adam Smasher in the game with a sledgehammer and smash his chrome in screaming 'THIS IS FOR 'BECA!!!!!!'
