The final episode of Cyberpunk Edgerunners.... This was devestating. After this episode ended I really sat there and contemplated the entire show and how it was done and attempted to cope with such a heartbreaking ending. All Lucy wanted was David to be safe, for them to be together - we was the only thing she loved and he was taken from her. She should've been on the moon with him... not just with the memory of him. Everyone she knew and loved died. I cannot think of a more tragic ending and this really broke my heart. What an amazing show. I wish I could watch it for the first time all over again.

@@VKunime I think it's a good time to try the game out. In it's current state it's way better than when it first came out. Definitely will put some perspective as to why such events did happen in the show. Hope you put in playthrough highlights on youtube as well!

If you knew Smasher from the table top CP2020, you already hated him. When you play CP2077 your hatred grows to primal levels. After Edgerunners you just want to punch every Adam you come across just in case, and if you are named Adam, you go and change your name and every time someone calls you that you spit in their face, even if its your own mother.
every time I hear the song 'I really want to stay at your house', I just fall into deep PTSD and depression, the song never fails to tug your heartstrings and catch you in your feels

What hurt the most is Rebecca's face when he was hallucinating. Right then and there she knew it was a one way trip and they wouldn't make it back. She didn't care because she loved David so much.
Adam Smasher is one of the more terrifying Night City legends, 98% cybernetics and completely psychotic before he got his implants.
I love the Smasher-Shaitan parallel. One only takes jobs that'd have confirmed Arasaka damage and one says I need ensured Civilian Casualties.

So in the Cyberpunk setting, there's an Edgerunner exclusive bar called the Afterlife where you can order drinks named after people who went down in a blaze of glory. When the show came out, the game was updated so the bar included the David Martinez, a hilariously fizzy drink that he would have hated
Oh no, choom, the drink has been there since the launch of the game... it's as if everything has been planned out

Kiwi looked for herself bacause the whole mission went south thx to Lucy and David, and she knew heads were going to roll, so she took the initiative to sever ties and go solo. That is against the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie, but she was a cynical survivor by nature :)
Btw, if you haven't watched it already, there is an animated clip of the ending song( Let you down ), talking about the story of the previous netrunner that was replaced by Kiwi, before David met the group. It's pretty well done.
I would definitely love it if Vkunia watched the video for Let You Down!

You can't get any more of a "happy end" than this - in a cyberpunk story.
Also, it's always nice to watch an anime series that actually has an ending. Seems like that rarely happens nowadays.

DEFINITELY! VKunia should most definitely watch the Music VIdeo for Let You You Down. I think she'll love how it's a ministory that connects to the Edgerunner crew and tells a great story in only four and half minutes!

It’s the end of the story of David. They haven’t confirmed another season. It was for an update for cyberpunk 2077 as promotion. But there is talks of a new story of new main characters. Like each season will be stand alone
This may be unpopular among anime traditionalists, but I prefer the English voice acting. For Becca alone. Trust me.
not unpopular. the English dub is pretty good, especially considering it fits the setting more.
Rosa Walton is the singer of the song, coming from the band "Let's Eat Grandma". Could be another artist you're thinking abt though considering she heavily autotunes in this song.
15:19 he survived a nuke blast while fighting a better merc than David so it definitely is one of the easier things he has faced

There is a Music Video to watch as well. "Let You Down." Also have you played the game, and if not, are you planning on playing the game (again)? It can be therapeutic to play after the anime especially since you can get Rebecca's gun.
If you want a happy feel good anime to cleanse the palate, I would recommend Love is War, or possibly Spy X Family.
In the game, you can get payback on Smasher and kill him
Cyberpunk 2077 takes place after edgerunner and I hope I get to see her play the game and experience all the locations from the show on the game
great thing about edgerunner is that everybody knows what gonna happen in the end but even then when it's happen it hit you like a truck still.

Her name is Rebecca actually. “Nova” is an in universe slang term/expression similar to saying “cool!” or “F*** yeah!” Or saying “that is so nova!” As in “that is so badass!”
Cyberpunk stories generally... Just generally mind you, don't usually have happy endings. The word "bittersweet" comes to mind.

the only the thing that i dislike about htis show is that it is so short .
Fun fact about Adam Smasher, in the game he is an absolute weakling. Even on the hardest difficulty u can rip him easy into pieces in pure melee combat in just a few seconds. The Series is indeed another great game adaptation, not on the same level as Arcane but still an awesome piece but for me the end was very very unsatisfying. It resembles in many ways the ways u can choose in the game at the end and it doesnt feel good for me. :/ And i hated seeing Rebecca die this way it was...meh, hate it. She was my favorite.
Cyberpunk2077 has serious late game balancing issues. It's a great game but by end game you become a near unstoppable killing machine.
@@steeltalon2356 That is an issue many games have in comon. It was in the past in games like Gothic. Crazy struggle in the start and midgame and and unstoppable godslayer at the endgame. In Cyberpunk, it is basicly the same. The difference here, only for me was that i played in even my first playtrhough on the highest difficulty. Every normal enemy was much more dangerous then Adam, thats the point i was
taliing about. x)
