I freaking love mine! I'm a fat old lady but there's weirdly plenty of room inside! It's very peppy, a breeze to park, and heats up/cools off SO fast! Also, winter tires are a MUST but take 2 mins to brush snow off lol

My girlfriend has this exact car (same trim and ect)
Very reliable car, only been around 10 months she has it now. and shes already at 20 000km on it. Never had ANY problem with it and before buying it we went to my mechanic ( real good guy who will make you pay less if he can ) and said he never had to repair much on them , only regular things oil change, tire change ect.
    .
Driving, easy to drive and fun really, it feels like a forklift when it comes to handling , easy to turn and very responsive.
    .
Comfort ; nothing special , but its comfortable , what I like the most is where the screen is , when you look forward you cant even see it , wich is something I hated from my aunt 2018 corolla.
    .
Gas ? Well it cost us 60 bucks for a 13 hour car ride at a constant 100 kmh ish ( stopped to eat and toilet eh ) wich is surprising and trustworthy.

I've had my near new 2019 Micra SV for three weeks now........avg about 6.9 litres per 100KM.....or about 35 mpg.....not bad for combined city/highway.....love how it handles.....its got plenty of zip and has more headroom than my old Honda Element.....Thanks to Chris for all his advice in purchasing this vehicle.....It's too bad so many Canadians have bought into the "bigger is better" way of thinking, that spelled the demise of this great little car....I feel its roomier than many larger crossovers.....

I think its a huge mistake that Nissan makes a really nice sleek and sporty Nissan Micra sold around the World but they go out of their way to make a whole other version of a Nissan Micra for North America as seen in this video which is ugly, bulbous and uninspiring. I think Nissan would have made a lot more money if they just had the nice looking version Micra and sold it in North America. The other one is way better. Tell me you wouldn't rather have this instead.. /watch?v=HZfDFUJfzwE

    • @christian_cantarutti
      @christian_cantarutti 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I agree but keep in mind the different demographics.
The Nissan Micra in North America is a budget car - built for first-time car owners and people on a tight budget. The UK model of Micra starts at £11,995 which is roughly $19,368CAN. At that price point, the car is not only catering to a different demo but it would be competing with the Sentra and the Versa in North American markets.
The UK Micra undoubtedly has stronger specs in every compacity but the North American version offers up a reliable, utilitarian vehicle without the heavy price point, even with upgraded models.
Let's also keep in mind that this vehicle is not available in the US, just Mexico and Canada who culturally are more accepting of sub-compacts so perhaps the design wasn't as developed as it could have been had it entered the entire NA market.
With that, The 2019 model is basically a carbon copy of all previous years releases with no major upgrades to anything since it's North American re-release, I hope Nissan can innovate this car as it can't stand on price point alone.

The new Micra is way more expensive and looks like everything else. The point of this car is for people looking for a good basic transport. And this little bug eyed car delivered. Just bought the basic S myself.

I just purchased a near new 2019 Micra SV.....and I find the new model Micra hideous....with way too much plastic chrome "bling" on the interior and exterior...and it now looks like every other hatchback on the market.....Is the older model plain and bulbous?.....yes, but that's exactly why I like it.....plus I like the much more affordable price of the old model.....I think Nissan made a mistake by discontinuing this model for North America.....but hey, its bling and crossovers the younger generations want now.....

9.0 l /100 km in the city? Not good for a small car. Some SUVs do better than that. I like the 15" tires though, gives the car a better stance.

I average about 6.9 litres per 100kM....combined city/highway......Im looking to see what kind of mileage I get on just a highway run with no air con used, and with a tailwind....;) I have to agree the 15 inch tires look more "balanced" than the sixteen inch aluminum wheels on the SR....perhaps its just the style, but I prefer the 15 inch aluminum wheels Nissan offers as a style package for the Micra....
