As an infp: it even feels weird to listen to music or watch a movie at the plane if a stranger is beside you!! 😂👀

Because everything is very personal to us, so we don't want strangers to see how we awkwardly enjoy ourselves because we believe it will look and sound annoying and we don't want to be an inconvenience to other people.
Totally agree, that's why I prefer to watch movies at home, as opposed to the cinema.

I generally talk directly to the child and they settle down, but if it ever happens that they won't obey I'll ask a stewardess to switch my seat with that of the parent.

The kid kicking your seat thing is so horrible yet relatable. Like, people, LEARN HOW TO BE PARENTS! (I wish more parents these days would care enough to teach their kids how to be respectful to others).
I went to the cinema bfore and there was a lot of jumpscares lol I kept accidentally kicking the front seat without realising it

@@sokol2629 the movie also doesn't last forever. It is common sense to not kick other people's chairs when you are in public space. The fact that you don't understand this much is crazy. If you don't want to respect others, please do go to such places. Book a private room or something.
Haha 😆 OMG I literally have thought to myself "Do I accidentally have any weapons on me?" while going through security. The self-consciousness is real!
I swear I checked my handbag 5 times before the flight but I still ended up with a can opener and a lighter. (I found them while unpacking. Went through security without any problem 😅)

I went on a flight not too long ago, and as a woman I keep pepper spray attached to my purse at all times without even thinking about it. I went through security and they were like “we have to confiscate that, it’s a weapon”. I felt so naked without my pepper spray lol. That was also really awkward though cause I’m my head I was thinking “they don’t think I was purposefully trying to bring a weapon right?!”

Hahaha Wait! I just realized by watching the first few seconds of this video is it starts out with "You think this innocent looking dude is gonna be sneaking a bomb through in his lapatop".... Moments later... innocent quiet guy: "Do I have an illegal weapon in my pocket that I don''t remember putting there?" HAAHA I am dying with laughter when I realized the combo of that. And also realizing my attention span is zip apparently not to have caught that the first time.

If the headphones don’t work, then bring a hoodie. A level 2 defense mechanism will hopefully tell let people know, that you aren’t in the mood and that they should go away.
Being an introvert and living in Europe is such a great combination. I'm German and I think our culture is a great habitat for introverts. Silence is very much appreciated, we don't talk easily to strangers, we like our personal space not be invaded and take care not to invade that of others,...
It's hard to be an introvert living in the US. I'd fit right in in the UK or some other European countries.
Well that’s mostly in northern countries but here in Spain there’s so many more extroverts (or at least it seems like that to me) so yeah not very nice for introverts like me (INTP) lmao

Had a kid kick my seat in theater, and when he pushed his feet through the cushions, I grabbed them and held onto them. I refused to let him go (since I asked three times for him to stop), saying that I'll let him go when the movie was over (movie was an hour and a half long). It wasn't until staff threatened to escort me out that I let him go. His family moved elsewhere and he started kicking the person's seat. She doused him with her whole soda (it was practically a two litter cup). It was hilarious 😂 The family left, and someone bought her a replacement soda as a way of saying thanks. Yeah, can relate to the chair kicking

I like to travel, but by the end, that's me. One time, my mom and I were coming home from Italy and all kinds of things went wrong, so it ended up taking us like 20 hours to get to our home airport. By the time I was getting on the last flight, the flight attendant greeted me and all I could say was "Is this flight going to my airport?" At least my dad picked us up, so we didn't have to deal with a cab driver.
The thoughts while going through the metal detector remind me of the "don't act suspicious" thoughts when you leave a store without buying anything.
I thought I was the only one who felt like that!

As an introvert, when I want someone to quit talking to me.....I simply make my affect go flat. I give short, boring responses that don't provoke further conversation. Sure, I'll be friendly, but I'll make my personality seem as boring as watching paint dry. Eventually, people get bored and give up. It works most of the time on the people that don't understand why I'm wearing headphones.
As an introvert with an extrovert best friend I can confirm they are indeed like that but sometimes it's fun to join (when they don't end up leaving you for their new friends)
While on a trip with a group of friends, I told them all to leave me at the hotel so I could have an hour alone. The one friend decided we should all be in the same hotel room, and then added another person once we got there. 6 people, that I was constantly with. No, give me my alone time.
Omg that doesn’t sound like a great time lol I need some alone time. As much as I love going places I usually go with family and rip to my alone time 😭
@@whisperingwooper1763 It wasn't, I ended up telling the friend that wanted more the merrier, I wouldn't travel with her anymore. She wasn't very happy about it, but her and I don't mesh when traveling.
That is why I insist on my own room. Respite = Sanity.

Oh my god this kind of kids are so freaking annoying. As an introvert it already takes extra effort for me to tell them not to ( i always do so though) only to have their parent either being completely unable to discipline them or telling them off just once and then focus on their phone or fall asleep. And then i keep telling the kid to stop and have random passengers saying things like ''oh relax it's just a kid, stop being like that''. And that is the moment i stop being an introvert and i'm having a verbal fight with them (mother+kid+annoying passenger(s)) daring them to swap places with me or shut up and mind their business. This is absolutely not based on a real life incident that happened to me a couple years ago and that i still get elevated blood pressure whenever it comes to mind.
As an INFJ who has been forced into so many social situations, I’ve acquired a certain set of skills to survive the discomfort of travel that may help others if they also hone them: 1) The RBF 2) The blank stare. 3) Sarcasm. 4) Let the face show every emotion. These usually provide a greater amount of silence and solitude in crowded situations by making you appear unapproachable or as poor entertainment for talkative people. There are strong extroverts who will not notice any of these and may even admire the sarcasm, though. The research continues.
My dad is an INFJ and he does all of these same things as well. But unfortunately, he is an extrovert magnet. People just gravitate to him no matter what he does to stop it. That’s how he ended up with my mom. She was one of the intrigued extroverts that stuck around.
@@flutterwinkle I think most INFJs are extrovert magnets. They sense we are good listeners, but don't realize we aren't always in the mood to listen.
The strong extroverts are my kryptonite. I'm too nice and end up getting stuck with them for at least 30 minutes. 🤣 I'm not good at cutting off the conversation and ask questions so I seem interested but really I want to run away. 🤣🤣
I'm going on an introvert trip tomorrow. Protip: When you go traveling, don't bring an extrovert. Looking forward to being a boring loser in a whole other country!

1000% related to the security check. I have never owned a gun nor known anyone who owns a gun, yet I'm pretty certain that one will show up on my person during every security check I go through.
Did not relate asking the kid to stop kicking my seat. If someone is kicking my seat, I immediately accept that as a part of my in flight experience because asking them to stop is horrifying.
I'm always afraid I accidentally packed my pocket knife, no matter how well I remember deliberately leaving it at home

This was basically just me (the introvert) and my husband (the extrovert) flying from LA to NY. The “let’s go get a drink and let loose” part at the end was so spot on, it was a little freaky.

The end where the extrovert insisted on going to the bar after all that chilled my very bones.
As the Introvert/INTJ, the hour by hour itinerary, print out of airport layout with bathrooms clearly marked, emergency backup numbers for taxi and uber companies, also motel/hotels in the area, in case delays, cancellation and over bookings but then I'm just a very anxious person and having all that keeps me calm. I don't travel often.
I'm an INFJ, but same. I'm even memorizing all the signs via an online 360° tour of the airport I'm going to and marking all supermarkets, pharmacies, and doctors in the area near the place I'll be staying. I need to absolute control of everything, even mere possibilities.
as an intp i love to put on my headphone and listen to music when i travel, unless there's someone not too loud i can engage in a nice discourse with. lol

I am watching an extravert's Livestream right now, as he tours through Disney world... He is just like that, he can turn around and make a friend and party 🥳. As an introvert, I feel enough socialization just on streams, that I'm fine with not talking to anyone or leaving my house for the rest of the day.

Dude, you don't know how much i relate to this, except my irrational fear is "Did someone slip drugs into my pocket/luggage when i wasn't looking?"
This is one of the funniest skits I've seen, so many perfect moments, I just wish this was a tv show so I could watch these characters more! Hollywood needs to step up their game, Frank literally has better chemistry with Glasses Frank than most actors I've seen and the comedic timing and realistic introvert (representation, let's go!) are gold, and the special effects of the kid kicking the seat unfortunately is literally not much shabbier than some low budget film effects lol.

Oh man! I felt for the introvert in this one! I think, since the seat right next to be is empty, I would just scoot over one seat so I don't feel the kid behind me kicking me.
If I was the mom of that kid, you best believe I would tell him to stop kicking the seat in front of him. And knowing what kind of mom I am, that kid would stop because he would know I follow through with any discipline I promise.
So did my mother. If I dared kick the seat in front of me like that, I would have been the one in pain and deservedly so.

Well, there are enough Extraverts here in DE who love to chew your ear off. I mean, as an INFP I am very well capable of doing the same, however, there are several prerequisites that must be fulfilled for that to happen. One of them is that the other person shows genuine interest, otherwise I'd rather stay silent.

super embarrassed and still sad that the security had to throw it away, I liked that knife.
I’ve taken the MBTI many times over the years and always get ENFJ, which always baffles me. I related so hard to the introvert in this video! I’m really good with small talk & can appear very friendly & at ease in social situations, but I’m not sure how much of that is learned masking behavior, because I’m usually internally screaming and suffering unless I’m with people I’m very comfortable with, or basically alone. Anyway, I always enjoy your videos, keep up the great work!

The last thing I want to do after traveling is party. I've never been on a plane but I can imagine it's like being cramped up in a bus. Extroverts are a different breed. 😆😅(I mean this in the most lighthearted way, extroverts please don't feel bad.)

Like, in lines especially, they will try to tell you their whole life story. I'm an ENFJ, so I can be talkative too, but I can tell when people don't wanna be engaged or continue a convo

This reminds me of the weird space of having ADHD but also being introverted so you sometimes talk too much, sing to yourself, fidget and can't stay still but you would rather not do any of those things and be quiet and by yourself. I even annoy myself sometimes.
LOL. Everytime I watch extro vs introvert videos I wonder just HOW could I ever consider myself an extrovert (I did so just because I talked louder and more than most of people I knew. Back then I didn't realize that talking is the one and ONLY extrovert trait of mine xD)
I'm an introvert and have had these exact situations with extroverted friends. The only lack of accuracy is I wouldn't have even tried to talk to the kid's mother. I would have endured and bottle up my rage.

I'm actually going to travel next week! Super early in the morning so everyone is quiet and catching some zzz's.
Was on a 14hr flight ✈️ after an 3 hr layover after 6hr flight from Thailand. I thought “ frank should do the 16 personalities on a plane“ Good to know I wasn’t too delusional after being all claustrophobic. Feeling the need to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Just for the rush .

I've dreamed of parachuting out the plane as it flies over my house so I wouldn't have to deal with coming back from the airport. I could be home an hour sooner.

Am I the only one who would be so caught up in their own world, that they would accidentally sing along to the music and only realise that way too late when the people near by startet staring at you? And because you have absolutely no social skills, the moment just becomes even more awkward. So you just sit still for the rest of the flight thinking of how embarrassing that was...
