Since the party one ended with the introvert getting arrested, I would love to see the translator translates to the cops

@@trinaq I find enough to look at on the internet that I don't have to LOOK busy, I AM busy. It's the world at your fingertips. If you want to watch videos, turn on the subtitles.
I do this a lot when I casually meet new people and we're both waiting for something (short term). I don't really want to be busy on my phone, because if they do talk to me, I want to be able to listen and respond. But while it's just awkward silence, it's just a place for my eyes to go and something for my hands to do without being weird
That's why I ALWAYS carry a book with me. I don't like pretending to be busy so why not actually use that time? 🙂

One day I went to a restaurant on my own (like always) and the waiters were looking at me, looking amused (so, being me - an INFP - I was incredibly anxious, creating the worst possible scenarios in my mind). The waitress that was talking my order came to me and she actually said it was an amazing idea to eat at a restaurant alone and they were all talking about how jealous they were that I was able to do that because they never took the time to do so. I was still feeling stressed to be the center of attention but I was relieved to know what that was about haha
Bring a book or something when eating alone. It helps.
@@magnoliaflower3310 I always do ! But sometimes it brings even more attention so I switch to my phone 😅 (and because I have such a young face it probably looks like there's a young teen eating on their own so that's probably a bit concerning I guess? Haha)
To be fair I always have a book and/or a notebook in my bag. Even when I don't have the opportunity to read or write, it will always feel like I have something familiar I can cling to when I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed, like an old friend, or the comfortable feeling you get with your favorite teddy bear as a child ?
The first time I ate in a restaurant alone my waiter also seemed intrigued like it was a cool new idea. So sometimes I tell myself I'm blazing a trail for other people, lol

I love to tell this story about my best friend.
We went out to eat one day, and when the waitress asked for drink orders, my friend asked if the restaurant had iced coffee. The waitress said, “Um no. But I could bring you coffee and ice…” (what the heck, that’s not the same!) my friend said, “oh, no thank you. I’ll just have a… uhhh… a glass of milk, please.” Watress says okay and leaves. I IMMEDIATELY was like, “you don’t like milk, what are you doing?!” My friend just sadly looks down and says, “I was hit with panic.” So when the waitress came back I had to save my friend. I asked for another drink for myself and gave it to her 😆😆😆 I’m not afraid to look like a fool!

I practice what I‘m going to say again and again in my head. When the person comes to take my order, I just rattle it off quickly, including every option question I can imagine.

If company is about to make a situation even worse than if you were on your own, you'll suddenly find yourself speaking up, at least that's how my Intuition lead brain seems to react anytime I see their lack of vocal self control spiraling the situation into disaster at mach 10. :)
As an ambiverse guy that feel both of the situations I feel the moral duty to warn all the extroverts under this video: guys, I know that it's not easy but try to do like the introverts. A wrong dinner is better that a one where they spat on it

"Decision paralysis" and "Scrambled brain" these are so relatable for me. When anybody asks me a question that would require sudden decision making, my brain just shuts down. So I usually take some time and people often give me weird looks for that
Just wait for the "What would you want to drink?" followed by the "Nothing _(There are so many options that having to choose one makes me so nervous I'd rather fall here dehydrated and not have an interaction with another human being for the rest of my life)"_
Pretending to be on my phone also rings true. It’s not til later on that I realize I could actually have done productive things on my phone 😭

As an INTJ, I make sure to pick what I want, then rehearse it in my head in order to say it as efficiently and socially acceptable as possible.
And girl I don't care if the queen of Sheba works here, I can say what I think about this place.
Although if you offend the staff, your chances of getting trouser-food or having someone pee in your drink increases exponentially.

As a server (who will be clocking in in 2 1/2 hours), I feel like I sympathized with the server more than the introvert XD
I just realized that my mom is pretty much my Hank, minus the sliiiightly aggressive tendencies haha- 🙏
But I tend to be selectively mute, social interactions and strangers are especially stressful factors that trigger that, so it can be a real hassle for communicating and everything. That's why I'm glad I have my mom, she knows me so well and can understand a lot of what's going on without me having to voice it, so it helps a lot to both go through overwhelming times and try to do better the next time. 😊💕

The real kicker when it comes to introverts making decisions is it seems the most important decisions could be made immediately while the most insignificant decisions can take all day to make.
Example: I decide I could see myself marrying someone after one date. However, I can't decide which bowl of oatmeal to give my roommate because it would be the nice thing to give them the one that looks like it has two spoonfuls more than the other because it has the most...but then they may not be that hungry and so it would be nicer to give them the one with a little less in it...would they want the fancier looking spoon...one of the bowls has a small chip in it, I couldn't give them that one could I?...To which my roommate says, "Just pick one! It doesn't matter."
I love this! This is me every freaking time! I get scared around teenage groups and I don’t want it to be weird to sit alone lol

Yeah, but society in general seems to think so, lol. One person told me I couldn't possibly be an introvert because I talk a lot
I(INFP) generally just do prefer listening and I like people I just can't deal with them for long periods of time because it's just too emotionally draining. Like if I go out with a group of friends I'm giving it my all to be in the moment talking to them enjoying the time and then I crash.
Although that's why I like having either of my best childhood friend or my brother because they both know I can get overworked and will occasionally shift attention ESFJ? and ENFP respectively
Oh god. That's what everyone thinks. I can't even say I'm an introvert without people thinking I don't leave the house now. Sometimes I like to eat at a restaurant with friends. Sometimes 😅.

Perhaps all introverts just need a handler, the one best friend who knows what they need and like.... lol. Heck perhaps if I used a surrogate to hide behind, like a stuff animal. "Okay Mr. Scruffles says I would like...." things would be easier.

INTJ &... I think I'm better off WITHOUT a vocalization translator because #1 I can speak for myself & #2 anything unsaid should probably stay that way.
Then again... Maybe a mood translator, for the both of us. Explain to people when I'm not actually upset when whatever it is that triggers them to apologize out of nowhere or for minor things or just acting nervous. (It weirds me out sometimes. Like, did I make a face? Breath wrong? Are they like this with everyone?) Also, to advise me when I misread (or completely miss) wtf is going on with other people.
Yes, a mood translator would definitely be more helpful.

I don’t have any issues ordering at restaurants even when I was younger and much more shy. Food is a whole different world.
One of the things I hate the most is when I say something is bad and people get offended because "they put so much work into it!"
That doesn't make a difference, you still need practice. "I worked hard" isn't a catch-all excuse for failure.

One day I decided to go to Red Lobster on my own. What can I say, I live in the midwest but I love seafood. Anyway, when my table was ready, the bimbo at the desk announced over the loudspeaker "[My full name] party of ONE." I almost left right then. Everyone turned to look. If I hadn't driven an hour to get there, I would have made an exit right there.

Me as an infj, before going to a restaurant i am making scenarios in my head on how to interact properly in a way i wont get imbarassed until i can find a perfect scenario i wont get reassured of my anxiety but ends up mess things up like i forgot my wallet at home.
I used to not be able to order off a menu at all due to overthinking, but these days it's gotten easier with practice

Oh! That interaction really hits me, damn even if I'm just watching it I really feel my anxiety is getting so high that it can reach the sky. I think I don't want a introvert translator because yeah like what the translator did make everything worse, if I put it in good use I might be able to socialize well without talking too much because it's sometimes frustrating and my throat easily give up, I only can talk If I want to but I can't talk for an hours straight.
