Thank you so much for making this recipe! I also followed the homemade noodle recipe video that you've made and i gotta say it was worth it. Me and family LOVE it!
Just did some very superficial research (picked up a bag of Sapporo Ichiban Instant Noodles and looked at the label), it's 870mg. So, 0.0009 Kilograms per serving! Or 870 millionths of a kilogram per serving. I had a Japanese roomate when I was in college, he had a personal MSG shaker, and used to even put some IN instant noodles! At the time those Ramen packs were not really heard of, and we had MSG (AC'CENT) in America, but people used it in cooking and didn't just throw it around, it was still a novel expensive product. Now you can just buy it in SACKS, I worked in a restaurant that had a DRUM of it! But I digress. I"m so used to arguing about MSG it's kind of automatic!
Just made it for my supper with some changes, substituted sugar with honey, green onion with garlic instead, I don't have fish stock or chicken stock powder, so I added some soba sauce which already heavy on Katsuobushi taste, turns out perfect, I think 450ml water was too much for me, will try lesser water for more packed flavour next time. It's so easy to make and fills my supper taste needs perfectly.
I used your tare recipe and base broth recipe to create my own version with pork fat & kimchi! The noodles turned out surprisingly well although I heard a tip once to put cold water in the boiling water about 4 times during boiling(I used an ice cube) and it makes the noodles springier. It was absolutely delicious thank you for sharing!

Ok here's the thing. There's so many videos on youtube for quick taken bowls but none of them come close to this one. I have tried too many now and this one tastes so good I'm almost at a loss of words at how simple yet tasty this is.
3:21 but my favorite toppings take hours to make :D
yeah if I ever figure out a fast way to make chashu, I'll definitely make a video!
@@WayofRamen definitely ways to *cheat* using a pressure cooker but, it isn't 100% the same.
Did this and it turned out amazing for its simplicity thanks man!
Awesome
3:26 are these bamboo sprouts?
yes seasoned bamboo shoots called menma. I have a recipe for a quick version of it on the channel.
thanks! would the canned ones from the chinese store also work?
@@Sambal_Olek Those are not seasoned! Just tastes like canned stuff.
I literally just made this and I'm amazed!!! It's delicious!!! Thank you so much for the video!! Que ricooooooo!
Thanks so much for trying it out Angie! Glad it worked out for you!
Love you, banana ants
I live in Hawaii, they're everywhere. At least they don't bite though.
I can't believe i actually did the recipe, followed the instructions and got a legendary ramen bowl, for a dish prepared in 10 minutes and made out of powder seasonings, it's a 10/10, i bought the hondashi, msg and chicken stock(lee kum kee) from amazon, the mirin i got it from heb everything else is easy to find
Way of Ramen: Komiabura
TH-cam subtitles: Coale me Buddha
I just tried making this and its absolutely amazing! I've never had ramen before so if this can be soo good I wonder what true ramen taste like 😋Took me at least a couple hours chasing ingredients but I did find most of them at some big asian shop. Luckily they sold the tare sauce too so i ddnt have to do the first part of the video. Used normal salt and olive oil. I'll be making this often
Could you please make a video for vegan or vegetarian raamen?
I get a lot of requests for that, I will give it a shot, I just need to do more research first
@@WayofRamen would be GREATLY appreciated, I'm a vegan athlete but I LOVE RAMEN 🥰
@@WayofRamen That would be awesome. I love raamen, I lived off of raamen when I was living in Japan. I became vegetarian and the choices are a bit limited now.
I made this at home for my husband and he liked it. Note: he is from Japan!
Although I would recommend soba nooddles and a bit of sake and mirin if you happen to have any!!!
Awesome
Honestly I’m too lazy to make this
Haha fair enough. Thanks for watching anyway!
I feel you. On one hand, I want to make more food items because I hate getting bored of eating the same thing over and over.
On the other hand, the most time consuming things Im willing to make are quesadillas and over easy eggs.
Thank you so much for making this recipe! I also followed the homemade noodle recipe video that you've made and i gotta say it was worth it. Me and family LOVE it!
Thanks for trying it out!
How many kilograms of salt are in each serving?
I dunno, you dilute it a lot with soup stock so it's not too bad.
Such simplicity. Will try this recipe. 🤙🏾
2:25 there's an ant😂
yup, came in the the bananas my dad picked from his house 😅
I'll take an ant any day over a cockroach. You can eat ants.
"Easy & simple ramen"
*Mirin included in ingr*
Nvm..... i'll just buy some instant ramyun at the groceries..
Ahh, *anime ramen*
anime ramen is probably better tbh 😅
Looks fantastic... Looking forward to giving it a go.
Care with that MSG, it ain’t good for us
Just drink alot of water after. You'll be fine
Thanks for the comment. Can you explain why its not good?
@@WayofRamen He's probably referring to its high sodium content
@@WayofRamen I would like to know as well what causes the body to not want too much of it, but all I know is that my mom feels very sick by it each time, which worries me.
If you look it up most sources say its a myth that its bad for you and was meant to discourage people from going to asian restaurants or markets
I’m so having this for breakfast first thing in the morning
At first I just wanted something to eat that I could do fast and never actually tried doing ramen so why not. I was not expecting much by the looks of my meal but dang, even with my approximative ingredients it was really good. Really looking forward to try more complex receipes!
Just tried this! Flavors are nicely balanced. Love the ginger coming through in the fragrant oil and also the two levels of green onions (fresh & cooked in oil).
Thanks for giving it a try!
I made this tonight, and it was a great. I substituted half the water with lobster stock, and my family loved it.
sounds good! nice way to make it your own.
Brilliant! Thanks for the quick broth recipe.
Oooo fancy. Def something I can make🤗
I've made this recipe and it taste so delightful...
Just made this, eating it now, tastes great.
Thanks very much for trying it out!
I just finished making this. And it really does taste awesome. Probably will be my go to for a little bit not gonna lie
Thanks for trying it out
Okaaay, now I need to find the right ingredients especially the bottled sauce in my country, as I’m from an Asia country. Anyway, the video is really simple enough for me to understand and follow. Thanks!
The bottled sauce? Shoyu? That's just soy sauce.
The Way of Ramen Thanks a lot 😊✌️
Holy Crap. This is my first ramen bowl. Absolutely delicious!!
Thanks for trying it out!
literally made this today, tasted great amazing recipe!
LOVE MAKING THIS. I switched to vegetarian knorr powdered broth and its sooooo goooooooooooood still
