I know, crazy, but as another comment said, he admitted to learning through mimicking moves. Many of his opponents are professional. Not to forget, His Spidey Sense makes him dodge automatically, This is shown in many Spider-Men movies, e.g- Spider-Man: ITSV (Car Dodge Scene), TASM (Train Scene). And also, a bit off topic but imagine him fighting Taskmaster while they both are copying each others moves, who is copying who? lol.
I like that he favors the drop kick, it shows how he got his roots in amateur wrestling, and it's practical for someone who barely has to worry about gravity

I love the fact that you also giving nods to previous spiderman movies and games, while breaking down spidey fighting style. In combat you always switching suits, swinging mostly Raimi suit w / it's final swing glory vibes, and stealth sequences with noir spiderman suit an obvious references to SM shattered dimensions.
I think it’s due to the fact that Spider-Man has limited knowledge of fighting because he mimics what he sees in movies. While Sable has been trained in combat since an early age. But the thing is that Spider-Man has always been known to pull his punches in fights. It’s not that Sable was op, it’s just that Peter was holding back and not trying to kill her. If he used his full strength, he’d be dealing serious damage to Sable. He could have shattered her collarbone, cracked her skull or even sock her in the face so hard that she’d be swallowing her teeth.
In this case, there's absolute no doubt that the developers of the game did an amazing job. They cannot possibly have made all thise fighting styles by accident, by trying to make him look cool. They really made their homework. And great job as usual!
@No.1 Spidey-Fan The reason he struggles to capitalize on his smarts is that he's spiderman - he often loses his jobs/internships with anything substantial because they are time-consuming and often create new bad guys for him to fight like doc oc, the lizard, etc. and freelancing photos or teaching occasionally seem to be the only jobs that will fit with his busy spiderman schedule.
He loses that shit 'cause he still sticks to being a street-crime fighting hero. I think it's cool that Spider-Man incorporates muay-thai (the art of the *8* limbs) and capoeira (the art of the pendulum) Into his fighting style, because obviously he's *spider*-man, but he also uses bernoli's curves of quickest descent (pendulum) to move as fast as possible.

This is really cool. I know in the comics he went a long time not actually having a fighting style, just relying on his enhanced reflexes, speed and strength-along with his Spider-sense- to fight before training under Shang-Chi to develop the Way of the Spider. It's really cool to see how many styles of fighting go into these characters in games.

Dante is more versatile, as of dmc 4 and 5, he’s not mastered the yamato but knows how to use it second only to vergil. I think the dmc4se style dante used was darkslayer after vergil, who is the darkslayer.

@@skycow3208 Yeah he is one of the channels that got me interested in Kali/Eskrima/Arnis, although I don't practice it myself as there are no schools for it anywhere near me lol That and due to physical disabilities I can't pull off all of the moves I used to. Basically I can still throw basic hand and elbow strikes and I can grapple a bit from standing (some takedowns, holds, chokes, some basic joint locking/breaking techniques, that kind of thing) although that's about it sadly. Although my grappling background is mostly from Judo and various techniques from Combat Hapkido, I've found Shuai Jiao to have more moves I can still pull off in regards to grappling given that there a good number of techniques that utilize sweeping motions powered by the legs, and I'm all for that lol Sorry for the ramble, but I get really passionate about martial arts even just exchanging dialogue on the topic haha

Video Games: Gray Fox (Metal Gear series), Vega (Street Fighter), and Link (The Legend of Zelda series). Movies: Connor Macleod (Highlander), Eric Draven (The Crow), Beatrix Kiddo (Kill Bill), Martin Riggs (Lethal Weapon movies), Rorschach (Watchmen), and V (V for Vendetta).
I'm behind you 100% on all of these! Let's hope at least one of them makes the cut so to speak :D I especially would love to know Rorschach's style, and Vega as well as V would be quite the interesting spectacle. As for Connor McCloud (Highlander is one of my all-time favorite movies) I would assume something of a combination of HEMA and Kenjutsu but I couldn't be sure and I would really like to see a more in-depth analysis. That and it would be really interesting to see this channel tackle weapons-based martial arts in greater detail now and again. I think I vaguely remember hearing once that Link (outside of his use of the sword and shield) is apparently trained in Boxing and Sumo Wrestling of all things. Where I heard that I can't be sure and I don't know if it's even considered cannon, but it's a neat little aside either way. As for the Crow, even though Brandon Lee was a very skilled martial artist, I recall seeing an interview a long time ago that stated they were aiming for a more street-brawling kind of fight choreography, but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty to analyze anyway ^_^
12:41 I did that without thinking when I was 15 and my abusive step dad had me in a chock hold couldn't get out and without knowledge of what I did I just cleaned it up just by doing that move. There is a few others but this move is what saved my life.

Spider man has so many fighting styles from martial arts to mma moves to wrestling to just pure fighting and then he has aerial combat which isn’t a real combat but still crazy he has so many fighting moves on top of his super strength and webs
The fun part about that stance is that it's not exclusive to boxing. Where I trained in Taekwondo it's known as a "fighting stance." So it's not as dramatic as "horse riding stance" nor the typical Olympic sideways stance, but somewhere in between where you're squared up with your hands up.
He was literally in a boxing fight with Flash Thompson in the Steve Ditko comics. So he does have some boxing training if you're talking about S-M at his core.
Insomniac Games made a wonderful job showing Spider-Man's fighting ability. Spider-Man is a good example of self-taught person who becomes one of the best in what he does. Indeed, Taskmaster, one of the best hand-to-hand combatant in comic book history, studied Spider-Man moves. So, this means Spider-Man is a master hand-to-hand combatant. Spider-Man's superpowers (especially his reflexes, his agility, his speed, his strength, his wall crawling and his spider-sense), webs, intelligence, mastery of acrobatics and 8 years of experience and extensive brawling makes him a formidable and powerful opponent.
So basically he is one of the most skilled fictional fighters as in real martial arts like if he loses his powers and had to do mma or something he would be unstoppable just from pure skill very impressive video def earned a sub
In the comics, he is actually classified as one of the most dangerous fighters in the marvel universe. His agility, speed, and strength rival or even surpass one of the greatest fighters, and in addition to that his wall-crawling abilities, superhuman reflexes, and webs make him a force to be reckoned with. If that would not be enough already, his spider-sense is so powerful that in some version it becomes borderline precognition, allowing him to anticipate a move before an opponent even thinks about it. Spider-Man is often a bit belittled by other heroes but as Captain America pointed out: You do not want to mess with him. The guy is OP as fuck.
As a Brazilian it makes me happy that he knows a bit of Capoeira Also, anyone realize how one of the martial arts is called "the art of 8 limbs" being part SPIDER-Man's arsenal

Fun fact: he's gotten this good by watching and mimicking movies. And when you have Spider powers that allow you to break the laws of physics, I don't need to tell you how deadly that can be. I wouldn't be surprised if he's like Batman and knows a ton of ways to kill people and just doesn't do it.
Fun fact that not many people know, Spider-Man has to pull his punches and hold back his strength because he's so powerful that he would kill any person he's fighting with little to no effort. In one issue when Doc Ock took over his body and punched Vulture he knocked his jaw clean off and that was the point when he realized the Peter could have killed him at any point he felt like it but he didn't. Also his muscles are so dense that in one issue when he tensed his muscles he actually broke a regular things hand just be standing there. Honestly how overpowered he is he's honestly terrifying
In the comics, Iron Fist supposedly designed and taught Spider-Man a martial art system that best utilised his agility, strength, and webbing. So I suppose it is distantly Tibetan in martial-art influence
If you’re talking about the Way of the Spider style from the comics, that was Shang-Chi who helped Peter develop that style, not Iron Fist. Shang-Chi is the best martial artist on Earth in the Marvel universe and is the only person better and more skilled than Iron Fist.

@@skycow3208 Yeah he is one of the channels that got me interested in Kali/Eskrima/Arnis, although I don't practice it myself as there are no schools for it anywhere near me lol That and due to physical disabilities I can't pull off all of the moves I used to. Basically I can still throw basic hand and elbow strikes and I can grapple a bit from standing (some takedowns, holds, chokes, some basic joint locking/breaking techniques, that kind of thing) although that's about it sadly. Although my grappling background is mostly from Judo and various techniques from Combat Hapkido, I've found Shuai Jiao to have more moves I can still pull off in regards to grappling given that there a good number of techniques that utilize sweeping motions powered by the legs, and I'm all for that lol Sorry for the ramble, but I get really passionate about martial arts even just exchanging dialogue on the topic haha

Movies: Connor Macleod (Highlander), Eric Draven (The Crow), Beatrix Kiddo (Kill Bill), Martin Riggs (Lethal Weapon movies), Rorschach (Watchmen), and V (V for Vendetta).
I'm behind you 100% on all of these! Let's hope at least one of them makes the cut so to speak :D I especially would love to know Rorschach's style, and Vega as well as V would be quite the interesting spectacle.
As for Connor McCloud (Highlander is one of my all-time favorite movies) I would assume something of a combination of HEMA and Kenjutsu but I couldn't be sure and I would really like to see a more in-depth analysis. That and it would be really interesting to see this channel tackle weapons-based martial arts in greater detail now and again.
I think I vaguely remember hearing once that Link (outside of his use of the sword and shield) is apparently trained in Boxing and Sumo Wrestling of all things. Where I heard that I can't be sure and I don't know if it's even considered cannon, but it's a neat little aside either way.
As for the Crow, even though Brandon Lee was a very skilled martial artist, I recall seeing an interview a long time ago that stated they were aiming for a more street-brawling kind of fight choreography, but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty to analyze anyway ^_^
12:41 I did that without thinking when I was 15 and my abusive step dad had me in a chock hold couldn't get out and without knowledge of what I did I just cleaned it up just by doing that move. There is a few others but this move is what saved my life.

Spider man has so many fighting styles from martial arts to mma moves to wrestling to just pure fighting and then he has aerial combat which isn’t a real combat but still crazy he has so many fighting moves on top of his super strength and webs

The fun part about that stance is that it's not exclusive to boxing. Where I trained in Taekwondo it's known as a "fighting stance." So it's not as dramatic as "horse riding stance" nor the typical Olympic sideways stance, but somewhere in between where you're squared up with your hands up.

Spider-Man is often a bit belittled by other heroes but as Captain America pointed out: You do not want to mess with him. The guy is OP as fuck.

He was probably talking about the 90s cartoon considered he only 3 punches throughout the series
In the animated series he was forbidden to throw a punch. He also rarely throws them in the MCU (I believe Thanos is the only exception)

Fun fact: he's gotten this good by watching and mimicking movies. And when you have Spider powers that allow you to break the laws of physics, I don't need to tell you how deadly that can be. I wouldn't be surprised if he's like Batman and knows a ton of ways to kill people and just doesn't do it.

Fun fact that not many people know, Spider-Man has to pull his punches and hold back his strength because he's so powerful that he would kill any person he's fighting with little to no effort. In one issue when Doc Ock took over his body and punched Vulture he knocked his jaw clean off and that was the point when he realized the Peter could have killed him at any point he felt like it but he didn't. Also his muscles are so dense that in one issue when he tensed his muscles he actually broke a regular things hand just be standing there. Honestly how overpowered he is he's honestly terrifying
That was Scorpion he knocked the jaw off of (and Scorpion was a guy who was specifically enhanced to be stronger than Spider-Man), but you are right.
In the comics, Iron Fist supposedly designed and taught Spider-Man a martial art system that best utilised his agility, strength, and webbing. So I suppose it is distantly Tibetan in martial-art influence
If you’re talking about the Way of the Spider style from the comics, that was Shang-Chi who helped Peter develop that style, not Iron Fist. Shang-Chi is the best martial artist on Earth in the Marvel universe and is the only person better and more skilled than Iron Fist.
