This in depth extensive analysis includes Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, and Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain along with a few outliers like Metal Gear Acid! Whether you want to learn more about Big Boss's CQC Techniques or Venom Snake's brutal CQC takedowns, or just more about Solid Snake himself, this is the perfect video for you. Youre pretty good ^^
You feel it too, don’t you?
@Andre Lucas There's no cama in that sentence.
To elaborate on the US military (at least army) levels of marksmanship, each weapon used by the marines has it's own qualification standards. All troops are qualified with the M4/M16, but they have to take separate tests for other weapons they are assigned such as the M9 pistol, 249 SAW, 240B MG, and even grenades or rocket launchers. Also, they must qualify first with ironsights and then again with any attachments on the weapon, such as sights or the M203 launcher.
So for snake to be skilled in all of these weapons, plus ones that aren't even used in the US, not only is that extreme levels of training, but also talent.
Very cool! Thanks for contributing that!
He's pretty good
@@ianfinrir8724😕👉👉
I'm 40 years old. It has taken my entire life to learn to use this many weapons, which included an enlistment in the USMC as an 0311. I've handled almost everything there is to handle, and I still do stupid stuff from time to time. I've never once seen Snake dump a magazine instead of release a slide or anything. If that puts it into perspective.
Why don't he have daredevi❗🤘✌❓🤔
So at the moment in your series, Snake knows more fighting styles than Arkham Batman. GG Snake.

Big Boss: The ability to aim with his right eye with a eyepatch.
The Boss: The ability to fight while pregnant in WW2

Venom Snake: The abilitity of HAIDARA !!!!
Solid snake eventually gets the solid eye and still fires with either eye even while the solid eye is turned off.
@@cynicalnitro8416 With enough practice and training you can tell by muscle memory
@@SeRoAnthem that is not how aiming works
Batman: For year’s he struggles to defeat a mentally deranged man who dresses like a clown despite having near infinite resources, mastermind intelligence, and world class combat prowess.
Solid Snake: Gets shot out of a torpedo tube in a one man SDV to infiltrate Shadow Moses. Has nothing but some cigarettes he hid in his stomach. Outmaneuvers and defeats an elite genome army, destroys an Abrams tank with some grenades, punches a cyborg ninja into submission, mops the floor with supernatural enemies, destroys a bipedal robot rail gun that shoots stealth nuclear missiles and has defensive rockets and a laser cannon, and as if that’s not enough he defeats his evil doppelgänger in hand to hand combat....AND he saves the girl. All within the 19 hour deadline of the terrorists demands.
And that’s just one of his many successful missions.
I don't know man, Batsie is pretty consistent on beating opponents who can turn Metal Gears into scrap metal and laugh off nukes to the face.
@@bakedgoods7116 That argument just doesn't work and most people in the superhero communities know that. You can't say that because Batman can kill Darkseid means that Batman is stronger than Darkseid, it's simply not true. Just like Solid Snake isn't stronger than an M1 Abrams.
Batman is a benny
@@envious3258 Except that I never said that Batman is stronger than Darkseid...just that he has consistently beaten opponents with a higher threat rating than anything Snake has ever fought...Don't put words in my mouth.
@@bakedgoods7116 Snake's been chucked in a microwave-filled hallway for 3 minutes as Old Snake and lived to tell the tale despite getting roasted to hell, fought multiple Metal Gears, as well as Gray Fox (a cyborg), Psycho Mantis (paranormal/psychic powers) and Liquid. Indeed he is. Black belt in Karate.
Wesley Snipes has black belts in Shotokan and Hapkido,is also trained in BJJ and Capoeira and Donnie Yen,who appeared in the 2nd ''Blade'' movie and did fight choreo, tought him some Wing Chun,JKD and trad. Kung Fu,during the shoots.
The dude can legitimately kick some ass.

Haha, awesome! My goal was to make this as authentic and real as possible for actual Judo, BJJ, Jujutsu, and Aikido practitioners
IMO MGSV has the best animations for the CQC. The knife counter throw that activates when you attack as a soldier is about to stab you is really nice. Venom disarms the soldier, then throws them on the ground via basically tripping them and shoving their head to the ground. Too bad they removed the roundhouse there.
All the CQC animations in V are really well done!
Indeed they are. The gameplay in general for V was great, as well as the CQC features, but its truly hard to enjoy when you realize the game was rushed and is basically unfinished and theres no real ending to the story. Anyway, yes, the CQC is definitely the most detailed, especially because of the new FOX engine.
Please do Sam Fisher from Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell next
He's on the list! No worries there.

I will be dedicating my life to learning all of the 21 styles so I can become the ultimate solder
So Snake knows more fighting styles than anyone on this channel. Also when you do John Wick you should know Keanu practiced in three gun training
Batman definitely knows more
Batman and Snake likely know the same amount; Snake likely being better. How many fighting techniques will you implement in a single fight?
@@dogestranding5047 well I just checked how many martial arts the batmen (he reviewed two) on this channel know and one knows 7 and the other 19,but that's because they were from the batman v superman and batman games, if he reviewed the comic book batman, he would list over a hundred
@@crystalicfire6630 The thing is. In the comics batman either know all of them, a little over 120, or has mastered 10.
Considering batman is physically and mentally at human peak the last option is the most realistic.
At best, he's mastered 10 and know a few moves from over one hundred styles.
Batman is still a human, and mastering a single fighting style takes years and years of training.

Wow great video. I can really see the passion that went into this. Someone has finally topped Arkham Batman’s number of fighting styles.
Well yes but batman is the only man alive that has mastered every fighting style known to man so the real batman stills comes out on top
Yeah to be fair in arkham knight within the description box it says "is a expert in most martial arts" so assuming they are going closer to the comics where he has perfected every martial art then I'm assuming its alot more than 19.
In Comics Batman and Black Panther has been stated to know each and every martial arts known to humans upto the days.
Karate Kid has stated to know all of the martial arts upto 31st century. He even knows martial arts from various alien species.
Exactly
What Wright said haha
At this point, it's not really how many styles he learned/mastered, but what techniques did he take away, which is basically a concept of "combatives".
Awesome video!!! Will always love your content brutha! Especially as a martial artist and gamer!!!
damn he beat batman in the numbers of styles
This video was really cool. I'd love to see a video about Raiden from the Metal Gear franchise!

Stupid question from somebody who crearon isn’t in on it, the straightforward karate punch looks devastating, but isn’t it extremely dangerous to sacrifice any semblance of guard or protection by using your passive arm to recoil the thrust of your attacking one? Or is it always accounted fo?
Great question! Yes, you do open yourself up to get counter punched at the expense of having more torque. However, in practice, at least in Taekwondo, you have a "fighting stance" which much more closely resembles a guarding position, and you also sometimes punch with more of a boxing form.
@@Godzillarexoh wow its you! thank you so much! Your video made me want to take lessons again btw. Might go back to Muay Thai, do you have any courses? I’d love to start on the basics again, amazing live actions you did btw

How many fighting styles does Kratos know
@@rafaelalodio5116 I agree
As far as unarmed combat goes, I would assume that he is a skilled practitioner of Pankration, or as I've heard the Spartans' military version called, Pammachon. I'm not sure if that is accurate terminology though, it's just the name I've heard it called, although there seems to be some debate when it comes to whether or not that is a historically accurate term or more modern.
As for weapons, I would guess he is familiar with various standard techniques such as the spear, hoplon (Greek term for their specific shield, although I probably spelled it wrong) and of course he is skilled with swords that are mostly designed for hacking and slashing like the falcata and so on, as the blades of chaos seem to be somewhat similar in their structure. I would say axe if you want to include the most recent game, but from another analysis I've seen, he is not what I would consider all that terribly skilled with axes as he tends to have a habit of not following through with a continuous motion.
Instead of flowing from one strike to the next with an axe, he stops short at the end of certain swings when it would be better technique to just redirect and flow into his next swing. He uses his axe a little more like a sword than he should, so I personally don't count his axe usage as knowing axe-fighting as a skill set that he knowledgeable in.
I've also noticed that when fighting bare-handed, although I still think he is a skilled Pankration fighter, he seems to use heavy-handed punches more than wrestling/grappling, although he doesn't seem to throw many technical punches (outside of his hooks), instead opting for some brutal and solid hooks with haymakers mixed in from time to time. Considering that Boxing and Wrestling are elements heavily focused on in Pankration, that is why I wouldn't list him as knowing just Boxing and Wrestling individually. I feel just saying Pankration is a little more accurate. However, that doesn't prevent Boxing and Wrestling being separately listed, as the way these videos are done, it would be fair to add both in addition to Pankration for the sake of specificity.
I don't mean to spoil anyone's fun or to sound like I'm an authority (because I'm not, I'm just a practitioner, and most Western styles of martial arts are not my wheelhouse save for certain elements rolled into how I practice and what I have learned) but I felt like giving my own thoughts because I love all martial arts and I would also love to hear other peoples' analyses and opinions on what they think Kratos probably knows.
All that being said, I would also love to see the creator of this video series cover Kratos' martial arts experiences, because he undoubtedly do much better than I ever could. I just hope he sees this comment somehow and hopefully see merit enough to make a proper video out of it.
Oh and as a side-note: I forgot to mention exactly which analysis I saw about the axe-fighting, and it can be found on a channel called Shadiversity. While I'm not a huge fan of all of his videos, he typically does a good job when it comes to his critiques on techniques and accuracies on the usage of certain weapons, especially those of European design. I don't remember the exact video title, but if you type in, "God of War Inaccurate Axe-Fighting Technique Shadiversity," or something similar to that, you should be able to find it without any trouble.
I definitely recognize a lot of chain whip and rope dart/ meteor hammer moves when going through Kratos's Blades of Chaos combos. It's surprising how much grace is hidden in his brutality.
@ Dropkickcorpse: That's a great point! I couldn't think of a martial art that would account for the chains themselves, but you hit it on the head with the chain whip and rope dart. Thank you for pointing that out, or I would've probably gone mad trying to think of it to be honest. I'm super OCD :P lol
Total side-note, but your TH-cam account name is awesome!!! :D
