Considering these monitors are mostly aimed at gamers, the need for a matte finish because of working / office environments with bright lights will be minimal. I doubt many people are getting OLEDs primarily for work purposes. LG should just use the same finish on their TVs as they do on the WOLED monitors.

Got a glossy oled g9 from samsung, great picture, no complaints, but boy, do I need samsung to put that finish they put on the s24 ultra on their displays. For anyone thinking about buying oled and reading this, do not underestimate how reflective glossy finishes are. Yeah the pic is better but even behind a curtain a window will be bright enough to constantly reflect in your monitor and its distracting as heck. I could turn up the brightness to notice it less but I aint damaging my oled by running at flashbang levels 24/7 just cause it masks the reflections. Ultimately I dont mind cause I darken my room when gaming anyway, but if you dont, dont let yourself be talked out of matte/anti-reflective coatings. Compare the coatings. Some barely worsen the image but block so much reflections(the s24 ultra for example).
I prefer Glossy finish 100%, picture looks sharper, better black levels and vivid colors, I still don't understand why they keep pushing matte on these oled monitors.

I have the 27 inch G6. Compare to glossy display, it isn't as good but it is NOT that terrible to what the video make it out to be. These are the downside i have noticed : it isn't bright, especially if you turn on the light in the room, text clarity is just passable (big problem if you read novels for long hours), color is slightly off and require compensation manually. It is still miles ahead of IPS display and older OLED. The elephant in the room is that if you look at the screen in a dark environment, you are wrecking your eyesight. I always turn on light when using PC or opening the window for sunlight (sunlight are intense in Southeast asia). Matte works better in those scenarios than glossy, because your will not get glare that block out part of the monitor. Brightly lit room is to protect your eyes. It’s unfortunate how you’re making matte screens sound bad. I understand it’s your opinion, but there are plenty of people who prefer matte monitors. For someone who claims to be a display expert, it comes across as unprofessional. You could easily lose a large portion of potential subscribers. Take me as an example: I work remotely for many hours each week, and that’s how I make a living, which allows me to afford high-end gear like OLED monitors. My priority is comfort and functionality for work, before considering gaming or media use. You’d be surprised how much corporations invest in upgrading their equipment. I find it unreasonable that you’re pushing your opinion rather than being fair to the product and considering other perspectives

I would of bought the Samsung as I already own the g8 oled 34inch but matte is disgusting will be looking at getting the asus
the g85sb is semi gloss, is that the one you have ? its the one i have
I am wearing glasses. Does that mean I should get this monitor and not other ones? (not a joke)
Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) just so we are talking about the same one
it is not matte, it is glossy with anti glaring coating
I know you're saving me money, but you're breaking my heart. 😭😭😭
I don't hate matte screen, even my phone screen is matte 😅
is this sharur's monitor channel?
Ktc matte finish was ehh wack asus new 34inch oled finish is fine to me but im still going to wait for the qd oled.
Got the last model for about 800 a month ago. 🎉

ASUS 32” 240 has my money so far
It’s the one I want
These just dropped do a review quick before I make a big mistake
the pg32ucdm keeps looking like the winner
No HDR or KVM when using type C input and no DP 2.1 so I’ll wait for Omen Transcend 32
@@Ranguvar13 even if it’s 4k 360hz for 500$ less, I’m not buying something that has the word „trans“ in its name
really, that sensitive about it? sounds like you need to rip the transmission out your car now lmao @@kerim_og_9378
@@kerim_og_9378 😂😂😂
2:14 are you kidding me, this is obviously a picture taken from a W-OLED panel.
It's much better than LG fog matt Woled.
Matt 💀
Do I take the matte option if I have a led strip shining directly at the monitor? I have a matte laptop screen and it’s ok for me. I’d like to look at it IRL, however I couldn’t find any oled display showcase in Prague 😢
Yes, if you can’t dim or move the light.
No, you take the glossy option and throw that LED strip in the trash.
what about the new g6, same matte screen?
Yes, looks like an ips monitor with that shit matte coating. If you look at their G9 model, it is glossy (which looks so much better)
When will the Aorus 4k qd oled with DP2.1 release?
Ok bro, I won't buy this samsung. Thank you for the hint.
This channel is a joke.
youre joke
Awesome. I hate glossi panels.
It looks fine.
