- Last month I gave you a little introduction to my foam stamps for Border Builders. This month I wanted to introduce them to you properly with a tutorial on how to use them and why they are designed the way they are.

Ceri-Grumpy and I were talking while watching this video. If you took some magnetic tape and glued a piece onto the back of each stamp, then you could take a metal ruler and attach the stamps you wanted to use in your border and create a unique boarder stamp. This way you could line them up straight

Thank you for this video. I am on a budget, and I was thinking how I could do this with what I have. And I realized I have some diy foam stamps I made with. Now I want to make some that are 1X1 inches. Thank you for the inspiration. 😊
You can also cut erasers into stamps.

The first thing I thought of when I saw your stamped examples sheet at the start of the video was coded messages. Sixteen stamps in original orientation takes you over half way to an alphabet, and by turning shapes in a different orientation you can have a character for every letter and all 10 numbers. This could be so much fun to share, by sending a “key” with your message to a loved one. 😁

Those stamps are great. My PM Artist Studio list is getting longer. I'm gonna have to start adding to my Christmas list. I love the borders you made. I could use them on the pages of my daily journal - they would be perfect. I've tried your rose stencil strips but they are a tiny bit wide. These will be perfect. ❤❤❤

PS Just watched your 2023 Updates video and had a suggestion. Open a Ko-fi account (seems counter intuitive, but hear me out). You could deliver free files, like your prompts list geaphic easily. You could offer special video project related files for money, without having to deal with etsy processing for a small offering, And, friends snd subscribers could "buy you a coffee" and donate to your special product fund, without giving TH-cam 30%. As an account, it doesnt need much, but a homepage and am offering choice. I hope this works for you.

Kudos to you Ceri! You have come a long way with your doodling, and I love what you added to each of the strips you made. Your creative processes fascinate me…..I could watch you create whatever your heart desires and listen to you explain why you do some of the things you do for hours and hours. It was very interesting to hear about what inspired some of the designs and also to see how we can use and adapt the designs. These will definitely be going on my wish list. I love your stamps and have recently been using your silly spheres, scattered numbers, triple dash and block burst designs to make ‘clothes’ for a group self-portrait activity (PM Artist Studio inspired) with family in December.

Well I just ordered my first Christmas present. And there won’t be any “Do Not Open Until December 25”. I have so many gel prints and now I’ll start doing something with them. Love the border stamps. Doodling has always intimidated me, but now I’ll have no excuse. Thanks for sharing. Update: I ordered on Wednesday, I received today, Saturday. Tomorrow is Sunday, football, and I’ll be playing with my Christmas presents of Border Builders, Vol 1 thru Vol 4.

I have not had any problem applying Matt medium or satin liquid varnish. Of course, the pen has dried for several days, too.
Interesting maybe I just need to be patient and let it dry longer.

Oh that’s a hard question, I currently have three glue books on the go, a water colour journal, two art journals, a zentangle journal, two collage journals, two travel journals and two journals for memories. Sounds like a lot but I jump between them as I have no pressure to complete them by any deadline. I also have several journals I’ve completed and a small collection of journals made by other artists which were gifts to me.
Wow Ceri these stamps are absolutely fabulous I definitely know what will be going on my Christmas list (if I can wait that long😂) I’m on a doodling mission myself and I think these stamps will work wonderfully with my pieces. I do have a quick question I was recently gifted a beautiful box of arteza gouache metallic paints do you know if they would work on my gel plate? I’ve never worked with gouache before (apart from the odd white highlighting) sorry to ask but I can’t seem to find much info on them at all. Thank you for sharing the stunning process with us I enjoyed every second ❤
Hayley I must admit I’ve heard the name gouache but never owned any, I’m guessing if they can be mixed with water and they are smooth in texture then they could be used on a gel plate……..but I’m assuming a lot here, I’d hate you to ruin a gel plate.
