OMG lucky you only post randomly otherwise I would spend days on TH-cam 🤣 this was phenomenal as always executed with precision and amazing results you are so frickingly talented and make it look so easy 😱
LOL!!! Keeping TH-cam posts random is the only way for me and a good antidote to my otherwise pretty structured life!!!!
@@yeatesmakeslove your creativity and was wondering if I can use some of these ideas to print from the Gel plate using fabric paint onto a t-shirt? …. So much to experiment with. Cheers and thanks again ❤
Really enjoy your creativeness. You inspire
Inspired as ever Mark! Thank you
So true. Love your work!❤❤
This is definitely my cup of tea! Tired of seeing the same stencils, and leaves. Bravo!
Your work is Incredible!! You are 1st class all the way! You are by far one of the best artist using the Gelli plate. I look for a video from you everyday. I hope someday I can watch you do your thing live. You are a great inspiration to many of us artist, keep up the great work.
SPECTACULAR use of found objects on the gel plate. I always love the ways you push technical approaches beyond the first idea, and far beyond the obvious. These are wonderful images and fascinating insights into the potentials of common items. The Interwebs will forever be grateful to you for moving the discourse on found-object printing beyond the ubiquitous repeat patterns of corrugated board and bubble wrap. Beautiful, evocative, and clever results!
Yes. Ditto. Lol. Such amazing skill and great ideas. ❤❤❤
So glad to see you back sharing with us. Your work continues to amaze. Thank you Mark.
Wowza, this is fabulous! Love your homage to the mural. Told my husband that I think you're the "mad alchemist" when it comes to the gel plate. Keep up the great creativity.
I was so inspired by this video that I found an old pair of pants, cut them up, and stuck a paintbrush in the pocket to make a very fun print. Also added some cardboard lines and mark making. Now I'm roaming around the house looking for potential print subjects! What fun!
Please do more of these random objects and industrial style prints. Deffo my cup of tea!!😊
You continue to blow me away with your creative vision ! Man this is really good stuff ! Thanks for being so generous with all your techniques too !
Hi there, thanks for the lovely comment. It's a pleasure to share, really. Keeps me busy and inquisitive, which is great motivation to keep making stuff. Also, thanks to the ads your subjected to, the videos actually started earning me a bit of money to buy equipment!!!!
The can and little flat box prints were so reminiscent of "Pop Art"/Warhol etc! Thank you for the inspiration.
Old school graphic designer here. I'm super inspired by your work.
Wow! every minute of this video is captivating.. it's truly amzing how you continue to keep coming up with endless ideas and inspiration every time! Thank you for sharing with us!
That first can print is very pop art feeling! Love it!
I was happy to make a small donation when I saw that you had posted again. I have learned more about gelli printing from you than anyone else on TH-cam. Keep putting your prints up on your site too! Your creativity continues to inspire me and I look forward to more videos. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the support, really appreciated and I am delighted the videos are useful to you : ) x
I absolutely love this! Hands down the BEST gel plate tutorial ever. You are very talented and SUPER creative. I have always wanted to combine my photography with collaging/printing. This got my wheels turning all directions! THANK YOU!
Love your inventiveness and creativity. The beer can made me think I could use that for roses!
I looooooove industrial looking art. When I was able to walk and bend down without falling, I would pick up old nuts, bolts, small springs, small metal clasps, etc. and draw those and use them in mixed media pieces. I gotta get back into this, but with a Gelli plate too.
The way my jaw just dropped!!! There isn't enough time to do all the things I want to do!!! I'm so glad I found your channel. Thank you!
I have become such a HUGE FAN of your tutorials, your Talent and your generosity of Spirit. I figured out how to donate and just did. I passionately urge EVERYONE to do so as well. You are a Gift! ❤
That's really kind if you, thanks for the support and lovely words. : )
That rub-in lettering on the cassette tape gave me my nostalgia. I clean forgot about that! I used to love using those as a child. My grandmother was a secretary and den mother and had all the supplies💓💓💓
You NEVER cease to amaze me with your new ideas! You have brought gelli plate prints to a " fine art" level. Thank you.
The dead crow lino is incredible 🖤
Wonderful and wonder if the metal made any deep dents in the plate? So inspiring and always glad to see a new video posted. I haven't tried the gloss medium to pull a print and need to try that out this week. Never thought about the fabric stuff, other than I've seen lace and doiley transfers. I love the shirt and cuff transfers. You are amazing.
Most interesting process of gelli printing I’ve seen so far! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Really amazing work, quite a trigger of fond memories from childhood as it reminds me of silly putty!
OMG, the comments below say it ALL. You are amazing. Wish I found you sooner. Thats OK... I'll be binge watching all your videos.
Great video!!! Really loved your "out of the box" thinking & application. The homage to the mural came out wonderful! Such talent you have. I love your urban themes. I still, often times, think about the rubbings you did months ago, going out into the town. I loved that idea!!! You take simple things and make them into beautiful art! I love your style! I never know WHAT you are going to come up with. TFS Austin TX USA
this is a fabulously creative genius in action
Mark, you're the best! Always love to see your process. So generous and modest. Glad to hear about a dedicated space.
I purchased a gel plate and did a few (6) tests experimenting with color and misc textures. It just didn’t spark my enthusiasm. Actually was thinking of gifting my gel plate to a fabric artist friend UNTIL I saw you video. Thanks heaps for the ideas and demo. More my cup of tea!
Usually I struggle to stay interested in most videos. Thoroughly enjoyed the full duration without wanting to skip ahead or stop. Never heard of gel plate before and this was fascinating.
Hi there, what a lovely message and pleased you enjoyed the video : )
Love your experiments with the gel plate - I get so excited when I see you’ve posted a new one! Thank you for sharing your ideas and process so generously. They are so appreciated- so unique and refreshing.
Wow! In just one vid, your influence has changed my game! *subscribed*
Wow Mark! I am in awe of your creativity again. You have taken a single technique and expanded it in a way that makes it way more than a single concept. Thanks for inspiring us again! (and again and again and again...)
So wonderful! Love your thoughtful art.
So stoked to stumble upon your video...unexpected objects..Yes, thanks! Keep 'em coming..
Your elevation of everyday, mundane objects to mesmerizing shapes and textures is o inspiring! Also your love of incorporating drawing reminds me of prints by Jim Dine, who I also greatly admire. Your willingness to stretch boundaries and just go for it is contagious- many thanks!
I love to watch your videos and all the techniques you use. The chain remains me a brain. Great.
This is by far one of the best gel plate videos I’ve come across!!! ♥️
I never thought about using crushed cans or clothing sleeves on Gelli plates. Ingenius. I have watched this video several times. I love your graphic work. My favorite is the Augustus Pablo piece. Please keep up the fantastic work! Much respect - greetings from Florida!
Hi there, thanks for lovely comment. I really enjoyed doing the Augustus Pablo - hopefully a few more viewers checked his music out as a result!!!!
The can is a great idea! I will use the same “encouragement” to get my son to help me with housework🤭

Thanks for the missing link Mark. Had a good laugh. Love this process. Found objects are so fascinating and the cloth especially. Take care.
Wow. That stamp of the crow you just rustled up is AWESOME! Really wish you sold those.
Hi Allison. Well the plan is to make a series called Dead Crow Blues, lino printed on a series of gel printed backgrounds. Will probably feature in a video about lino printing with a twist and then I'll put them on the website to sell : )
Thanks so much for these videos, I've been watching them all week. Very inspiring for someone just getting started in this medium.
THIS IS my cup of tea! Wow! Wow! I am definitely going to try making prints with unusual objects.
Great, inspiring video Mark. Thank you. How Andy Warhol would have loved the gelplate !
You make me want to see the entire world through fresh eyes
You never cease to amaze me, revealing new ways of seeing and creating art in unusual ways every time. BTW, thank you for mentioning your choice of heavy body paints; I wouldn’t have thought of that.
Hi Michele, thanks for taking the time to comment, very kind. Glad the video was useful to you : )
Your prints are absolutely my kind of cup of tea! Me thinks, most of us are enjoying the tea you're serving up. Thanks for sharing.
Love the can print .. I had an old ragged denim jacket - used the front part where the pocket id - got a fab print in dark blue light blue . thanks for being inspiring.

You use a Gelli plate like no one else I've seen! I'm incredibly inspired. I love creating multi-media pieces using found objects, but I hadn't thought to use many of the found objects with the gel plate. Can't wait to go through your backlog of videos!
Excellent work!
That is so cool! Gorgeous. 🤩
Love this. When I first saw gel printing on TH-cam, it was always scrapbooking ladies using things they found in their craft rooms. This is totally more my jam.
Great to head ideas are useful to you. : )
This is absolutely inspiring!
TH-cam just recommended this video to me, and it IS my cup of tea. I always see smashed cans and think they're cool looking.
