What I appreciate about you the most is that you focus on techniques. Total teaching and no extra "personal chatter" that many UTubers do. I watch your channel and LEARN new tricks every time.
What a difference the outline/doodling makes. I’m a lines and angles person. And I’ve learned a lot in this video. Love your art, explanation and visuals. As always, thank you for sharing and inspiring.
I am loving your doodling Ceri, please dont cut yourself short, you do very very well. If you cannot find the Posca markers you want, why not get some colored sharpies. I know that they re an alcohol marker, but i doodle with them all the time without problems. Sharpie makes a full ranger of colors from pastels to vibrant shades. And everything in between
@@robingoff322 TU Robin for that information. My art is made solely for my enjoyment so the Sharpies not bing permanent doesnt bother me. I also usually use fixative or a varnish to seal my project at the end which helps preserve them in my opinion.
Hi Ceri. I live in Oslo,Norway and boy did we ever get a winter here. -10 is a normal winter here, but this time we got the big freeze from Siberia. It got down to -27 here and we got snow that will last us a few winters to come 😮 The wind wasn’t nice either. Holy moly it’s been a rough one. Thank you for another great video. I love them all. Even the ones where I’m screaming at my iPad “You’ve missed the middle again” Hehe. Have a great week ❤
Wow, these are amazing! I learned a lot from this video. When you added the black to the grid I was surprised how much it popped. I would have never thought to do that. Thanks so much for sharing. ❤
Ceri, we your viewers appreciate all you do for us in your videos. We do not look at what you do with as critical eye as you do. You are a fantastic teacher, and, speaking for myself, I learn so much from your videos. Your technique of doing things may be different from mine but the things you show us in your videos can benefit anyone that attempts creating a project. We are lucky to have access to your videos!
The papers look gorgeous Ceri! Thank you so much for sharing them with us! Your doodling is getting very, very good. Keep doing it. You give us so much inspiration!! Til the next video……
Ceri, those turned out gorgeous and you make it look effortless! Thank you for another enjoyable lesson. I had never heard of Posca markers until my granddaughter put them on her Christmas list. I will have to get me a set now, too!
I love the idea of mixing your little bits of leftover paint and making your own color, brilliant idea I will borrow 😊 And I love this stencil, so many different uses, it’s going in my cart! Thank you for another enjoyable video!
The pages looked great after you stamped them but took on a totally different look after you doodled around them! Love it. I think you do a great job. These were great. Thanks for sharing them with us. Be glad you aren't in Chicago this month. 20 and 30 degrees below zero with snow and wind has been nasty, lol. Happily, we are back to single digits above zero now. Yay winter. Love from Chicagoland.
Thanks sooo much for responding and answering all my questions. So helpful. You seem to be one of the few who do. I appreciate you taking the time. Thanks again.
You inspired me to doodle on my gel prints (which is still rather new to me) and I was pleasantly surprised! It’s nice to step outside the proverbial box. Thanks, Ceri!
Oh my gosh Julie, thank you so much that’s so generous of you, I’ll add it to my funds for my posca markers shop next week it will really help to have a wider selection of colours.
It is my pleasure, Ceri. I look forward to seeing what you will do with them! I have learned so much from you and you have expanded my world of crafting with all that you do. You’re a gem! Much love, Julia ♥️
Gosh, these turned out gorgeous! That journal cover is quite exciting. Your whole process gave me an idea I'm gonna try out tonight. Thank you for the inspiration.
Ceri, you’ve created more beauty! Your designs would make a beautiful gift wrap paper. Thank you for sharing your thoughts as you work. Not easy to do! I wish you a beautifully creative year ahead. 😊 (no reply necessary)
Once again, you’ve taken your art and turned it into a masterpiece with all the beautiful doodles/highlights. LOVING the black on magenta squares! I just got my Nesting foam circles, the stencil you used when you first created these papers, and the one you used today! Can’t wait to play this weekend! Thank you for your inspiration and designs, Ceri!!! Much love, Julia ❤
Mister Ceri, I really liked how you showed how to use portions of a stencil. And your pen work accented your designs in a very artistic way! Brilliant Stuff! Hugs, debC
Interesting, I always thought POSCA Pens were acrylic markers that didn`t smear. Ceri, no one would ever guess that you`re new to doodling. You`re doodling like a pro :) I love what you`ve created (as always...)❤
❤❤❤ i love to color in Coloring books and have started doodling on those pages. I color and doodle with markers. I have a long way to go to get as good as you but i'm having a blast. TFS.
So lovely, Ceri ❤ Your doodling is marvelous. The color choices are superb. Your backgrounds are so harmonious and have a bit of a retro vibe to me. Thank you so much for sharing your time and talent with us. I have been very inspired. Very cold here in Michigan and we have a beautiful blanket of snow. Stay warm my friend. ❤❄️
This is gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing. I feel the need to do some doodling...once my broken shoulder is healed and I can use my right hand. Ceri, you are so inspiring.
Hi Ceri! You know, I so enjoy watching you and listening to you chatting away. I've been fighting some reactions to medication and haven't been in my hobby room for awhile now. Thank you for chancing the 'technology gods' and sharing your inspirations! 🙂❤ Oh; I almost forgot! I think it would be awesome to watch you doodle with watercolors! I haven't caught up with any of your videos working with watercolor. 👍🏻💖
Wow Ceri you are so good doing this doodling. The stencil is great and the prints are gorgeous😍 Now I have some of your stamps and stencils, it took a month to arrive and soon I try my gel plate with them❤
Love, love, love!!! I am relatively new to your channel, Ceri, and loving everything I have seen so far. I am also a follower of Nicole Timm. She cracks me up, no end. I’ve sent you a little something for you to stock up on a few more Posca pens. They are awesome, aren’t they? All the way from Australia 🇦🇺 Elizabeth
These pages are so beautiful. Have you considered designing paper for mass production? You are a natural at design and I feel a lot of us would love to have your designs in our stash. 😊
Lovely!!!!!!! The clean up sheets cleaned up exceptionally well. Keep doodling! Do you doodle on scratch paper when you are thinking things out? It's good practice without any expectations. Keep well!!😊
I’ve got a book I play with patterns in, I hesitate to call it zentangle but it’s definitely in that style, I use this to explore shapes and give me confidence in drawing lines.
Ceri these are so beautiful. Have you considered making your prints available as a printable? I would love to use some of them in my journaling. Thanks for creating these videos.
I love both of these. The colors work so well together and your doodling is very nice. Could I use fine tipped alcohol markers by any chance, for the doodling?
Joanne I’m no expert but I don’t see why not, experiment a little on some scrap pieces you are willing to mess up, you may be surprised by the results.
You recommended two names for doodling , Darcy something and Darcy Gustenelli(?). I listened several times but not sure what you said. Would you mind sending me the names? Thank you. Just loved the sheet you finished. What are the brands of paints you use? Is the finish you recommended called Liquitex Basic Acrylic? It was very difficult to read the title. Is it sheer? Would hodge podge work as well? I appreciate all your recommendations. Thanks again. /
Cindy, I’m sorry I wasn’t totally clear with the names it’s Darcy Sanders here is her channel youtube.com/@DarcysMixedMedia?si=gM81BF7xAWot0R0M and Gayle Agostinelli here is her channel. youtube.com/@gayleagostinelli_ct?si=FNToql_-FuPnmdxu I used several different brands of paints Amsterdam, Arteza, ArtDeco however this can be done with almost any paints. The markets were Posca paint pens. The medium was Liquitex Matt Gel Medium and yes you could use Mod Podge as an alternative but be aware if you brush medium directly over the Posca pen lines they can be reactivated and smear which is why I first srayed my piece with a fixative spray to seal the Posca marks. I hope that helps.
Would you mind sending me the address for the vid you did before the work you did on this one. Just love your finished project. Also your vid on making a journal. Thanks so much.

Have you tried Zen tangle ideas? Alsi great for neditation type jf art. Stædler Fineliners pens are perfect. Don't use these pens on cardboard or water colour paper which will destroy the nibs.
Ceri, you do a great job doodling. You really need to be proud of yourself. These are Cerify just like your other masterpiece. There are no rules in doodling. If the are it won't be fun anymore.
Cindy I’m not sure, maybe someone else could advise, my gut tells me something like baking soda might help but I don’t know how you’d apply it or if it might damage the pages. Maybe just leaving it open to the fresh air and turning to a new page every day….long process. Here in the UK we have scented draw liner paper which comes on a roll, maybe you could sandwich that between some of the pages to see if the scent impregnated the pages.
What I appreciate about you the most is that you focus on techniques. Total teaching and no extra "personal chatter" that many UTubers do. I watch your channel and LEARN new tricks every time.
Wonderful Catherine, I do do chatter but in videos that are more relaxed and sharing.
