However, I have found that other types of sleep routines that Dr. Mandela recommends work better some nights than others. I guess much of the success depends upon what kind of a day you have had. A very stressful day full of physical labor requires more diligence in following the routines than does a peaceful day. I am still working on it. I am thankful for any suggestions he gives.

I used to weightift more but tension affected my sleep, now i do more cardio and weight lift, i do not even have to do yoga as much and i sleep better, i got a vr headset that is what got me more into cardio ❤ and i can easily go for 1 - 2 hours. When i had lot of tension due to weight lifting or other stuff massage and yoga was my life saver.
My toes have been numb everyday for a year.I press them on the floor, still numb. Doctors don't know what to do. Thank you Dr. Mandell for taking time out to help in each video. God Bless You ❤❤
@@carla89cc I have to make time (at least 10 minutes) to lay flat on my back and elevate my feet up in the air and write the alphabet with pointed toes to the ceiling and then for at least 5 minutes lean them against the wall and breath deeply. I hop up feeling so much relief. ✌️😊👍🫶💐💃🏻🙌
If you are in need. It could be you needs. Or too tight socks, pants, underwear. Could be related to a sciatic nerve. Coming chin your spine. Go to an Osteopathic doctor. They are best for this. They work the entire body. Most doctors take a quick course. 1-4 hrs course. Then gain an extra title, osteopathic. Go to one who doesn't years in skill fit this purpose as his main specialty. A college for this specific health care. I know from experience. It was the best resource I ever found. For so many ailments, pains, From head to toe. I promise. If you live in Maine. I've self learned sleep talk down, I focus on my deep breathing thinking deeply," breath in, breath out" when I'm trying to get to sleep I use an army method for quick sleeping, you use a phrase like "go to sleep" or "just relax" something with 3 syllables, just repeat it over and over it will clear your mind and force your focus away from your body

One point you may have forgotten is the middle of the toe, apply pressure on that point will bring the same result as you described for the earlier points...🤠

Try not to experiencing going to bed as a task, but more like ohh i’m finally allowed to lay down after a long day.. i know it sounds silly but this perspection shift really helped me. I just got out of the hospital after a small stroke. So many pieces to the puzzle, sleep being one of them. For the first time in my life, I can’t sleep more than 2 or 3 hours a night. I’m going to try this tonight.

Whenever I have gone to a massage therapist all I really wanted was to have my joints massaged, my feet and ankles, the front and back of my knees and the same with my elbows and wrists. Muscle massage is great but massaging my joints feels sooooooo much better and more relaxing.
I used to put my kids to sleep by massaging their feet and ankles; Mom used to do it to me when I was a child. Thanks for reminding me Doctor Mandell!
